Ooooo-la-la!

Ahhhh...a lovely day. A good mix of productive work and Peyton time.

Did some work at home this morning getting things organized and planned for my 2 contract signings tonight. Peyton and I got dressed and we went to our "date place". Cici's Pizza. LOL Hey...you can't beat it. Peyton eats free...She LOVES it! It's kind of the place she and I goto together. Steve is not a fan of Pizza (weird man), so she is my pizza buddy. Then we went up to my office to do a few things and headed home. Peyton and I played a little bit, she had "rest time" while watching Cinderella. I worked a little more. The TV didn't go on all day. Which was some nice peace. Try it sometime. It's almost relieving. I was revolting from our Sunday full of TV. ha (oh, I guess Peyton's TV was on...but not the main one.)

Steve came home in time to let me go to the office to meet my clients. I got my first contract executed. We are now in an option period of 7 days....to do inspections and such. Should go fine. Close the 29th. Got the other offer submitted. We'll see how long this takes. Should be interesting.

So tomorrow. Well....I was going to take Peyton over to andi's and us hang out a little bit. She was begging me all day to go to Ash's house today. I told her we would go for a little bit tomorrow. Well, I read Andi's blog and I guess Ash is going to a friends house. Then Wed., I read, RC is taking the girls to the waterpark here in town. But Peyton hasn't been invited. So whatever. She gets left out. Thanks alot, RC. That's fine. I have to work Wed. so she is due to go to Nana's house anyway. So RC would have to keep her all day...which I doubt she is willing to do.

I'm really not sure what tomorrow will bring. I really need to go grocery shopping, so Peyton and I may do that. I have to go to the office at 7pm to get all the decorations made for our trucks in the July 4th parade in a local neighborhood. I forgot about that, and forgot to tell Steve. hummm....

Anyway. The picture below is just a pic. I took on my phone that I downloaded. She got a new hat from her Nana and Papa. So she's showing it off. Enjoy and more tomorrow.

In Loving Memory

In loving memory of Ruth Cullen. Ruth is My favorite Aunt Sharon's mother. I just was notified that she passed away on June 25, 2008. My memories of Ruth are sweet ones. She ALWAYS had a smile on her face. She was so sweet, gentle and kind. She loved her family so much. She lived a long and very productive life. She worked well into her 80's. She died at age 86.

The York Family sends out of love, thoughts, prayers and kisses to her family. We love you guys.

Mission Accomplished

Goal for this Sunday..stay at home and chill. And thus we did. We all stayed in our pj's all day. I did manage a shower this evening, but I changed right back into pj's. Same for Peyton. It was nice. I took like a 2 hours nap! LOVELY! Peyton on the other hand..no nap. I was really kinda ready for her to go to bed tonight. She was a pretty good girl today. I think she enjoyed staying at home playing and hanging out with us today. I even asked her..."do you like just hanging out with Mommy and Daddy at home?" She said, "yes, I do. It's fun.". ha. Fun??? I don't know about that. I think she got a little bored. But she played and used her imagination. Watched Cinderella, etc.

She got dressed up like Cinderella today. All 3 of us were spinning and dancing in the living room (to no music) and peyton was leading, by the way. She said while we were doing that, "This is my BEST day". That made me smile. The simplest things make little kids happy. Just having our attention and doing what she loves made it her "best day". I let her go out and swing on her swingset in her pj's, and that was just the best thing ever for her. I never let her do that...as much as she asks. So she thought that was just the greatest.

Made chicken tender wraps for dinner. NOTE TO SELF: buy bigger tortillas for those. ha We were only able to get one tender in the reg. size tortillas. Peyton loved them. I found some really pretty good honey mustard. Ken's brand. Pretty tasty.

We watched a lot of Jon & Kate Plus 8 today. Wedding Crashers. And guess what Steve was doing when I woke up from my nap. On my laptop playing chess and watching Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory AGAIN! Oh, but it was the old version, don't ya know. uggh. LOL

Steve finished his last test for his World Lit. class today!!!!! YIPPIE!!! I think I am as happy about it as he is! AND he is taking the next 8 week session off! YEAH! He is just so relieved to have that class over with. It really was a whoopin'. If anybody tells you that online college is easier...they are lying to you. In some ways it's harder.

So I will be doing another contract signing tomorrow!!! YIPPIE! So I have 2 going right now which is huge for me. I still haven't gotten the counter-offer for the first one yet. The other realtor called and said the lady wanted to keep it overnight and have a net sheet done. She was to meet with her today at 4pm, but I haven't heard anything. I will check in the morning to see if it has come over the fax. I sent it Fri. night for crying out loud. I think over 48 hours is a little ridiculous for a response. Come on ALREADY! This is my clients first home purchase, so I know they are anxious. I have called them a couple of times to keep them informed of just the little info. I have gotten. So they were appreciative.

Steve is asking what I am writing about him. So....Steve is so wonderful. He is a great father and husband. He takes great care of us. He is a trooper and puts up with me all the time. He is just such a special person. ;) LOL!!!! I read the whole thing to him and he giggled. hehe

He just beat my highest score on "bubbles" (a game on my phone) so he is really busy gloating right now. urrgg...it takes a long time to beat a high score. I haven't played it in a while and may just let him feel special and have the lead. hehe

Tomorrow....hummm...Nothing going as of yet. I am sure I am going to meet up with my 2nd contract people to sign..and then really I don't know what else. Steve and I are on a strict budget, so shopping is out of the question. (bummer)

Where are my commenters!! thank you, Jessica for the comment. Auntie S!!!! Where are ya. I am starting to worry about you. I know your granddaughters were in town...you are probably hanging out with them instead of reading our goofy blogs. ha

Ya'll have a great and prosperous week. I am hoping for the same!

An afternoon post

What...you say...Ally is posting a blog entry in the afternoon. Yes...you got it right. ha I really should take a nap though. It's either blog or watch Willy Wonka on the Disney Channel. No, Peyton is not watching it...that would be STEVE! ugghh He kills me with his dumb movies. He wants to take a weeks worth of vacation time coming up here soon. I told him I would love for him to take some time off of work, however; I do not want to see him on the couch the whole week watching dumb ass movies. His reply to that was "it's my vacation, and I am sure there is going to be some of that going on". Oh GREAT. If he is admitting now that it's going to happen I am in a world of hurt. I think I will make sure to have lots of work to do that week. ha

Well. Looks like I am going to write up another contract either tomorrow or Monday!!! Woo-hoo! I hope it will go through. It's a short sale (pre-forclosure), so I am sure there will be other offers. The key is to have the highest offer. I am recommending a full price offer plus another thousand dollars. We shall see. I'll keep you posted. We haven't gotten the counter offer on my other contract I wrote up last night. I should hear something today though. Fingers crossed. that would close the 27th of July...so some money by the end of July would be fan-tab-u-lous!
Both of the people I am working with are very nice. I am usually known for all the weirdos I seem to attract. So this is a refreshing change.

Peyton is off with Pop-Pop today. All the girls, Pop Pop and Anna went to the Cocker Spaniel rescue dog park thingy. Then to lunch and now I guess he is taking them to a movie. We are supposed to meet some friends for dinner this evening, so hopefully it works out where we can get her before or come get her after. They all went to Chuck-e-Cheese last night with Meme and Grandpa John. They all had a great time. For some reason Mom said Peyton would ride the little baby type rides or any of them for that matter. What's up with that. She's usually the brave one. Weird. She's just weird like that sometimes.
Tomorrow I am hopeful that we can just hang out at home and relax. It would be nice to just hang out and relax with no where to go or have anything to do. But I don't think that's going to happen. We will see what the day brings.
Yesterday was just a very long day. I was so pooped by last night. Dropped Peyton at Andi's. Went to work at the AC co. and the people I showed today wanted to go see one of them at their lunch hour yesterday. So I had to leave there and go show the house and go back. Stayed at the AC co. until 5pm and went to my contract signing by 5:45. I didn't get done there until about 7pm. Steve and I went to dinner, stopped off for some ice cream and went to get Peyton. We all had long days, so we all went to bed pretty quick after we got home. I, of course, was the last to go to bed. But at least I got to sleep in for a little bit this morning. Then it was off to get my hair done and my afternoon showings. Peyton has had a busy few days too, so I think she might be ready for a day of rest as well. Although, I don't think that child can rest. She is a little busy body for sure.
Ya'll have a good weekend!

Summer Fun

RC and the girls

Cutie Pies

Brittany and her followers

Sydney and RC

Peyton and Ashleigh enjoying floating on the raft.

Lots of summer fun today at the lake. Burger's Lake really is a good time. We just chilled. Hung out in the water. Watched Sydney do the trapeze, diving boards and slides. Peyton went down the kiddie slide, once....well twice really. The second time she got freaked out at the top fothe slide. Thus holding up the 6 awaiting kids behind her. She wouldn't get up and move and she wouldn't go down. Finally, the nice girl behind her talked to her and offered to go down with her between her legs. Peyton agreed and worked out great. That was really nice of her. She was probably 12 or so. I was very grateful because I was fixin' to have to remove all the kids in the line and go up and get her. uggh

RC mentioned in her blog that I am probably burnt since I didn't use sunscreen. I didn't. They are all crispie critters and used sunscreen 2x's. I didn't get red at all. Isn't that weird. Even if I usually do get red, by morning it is fine and just turned to tan. I have the lightest skin of all the sisters...but I am thinking right now I might b the darkest. Andi doesn't ever leave her house, so that explains her.

Peyton kept saying there were crocodiles in the lake. She said that when we first got in, but I assured her there wasn't and she was fine. Until about 2 hours later, she started that up again and then freaked out Ash too. They both were whining about how they are going to get eaten by crocodiles. They are funny little girls. Had a picnic. Made sandwiches. It was yummy. Went and got dipping dots ice cream. Peyton proceeded to dump her cup over in about 2 seconds. A huge mess. Ash was nice enough to share some of hers. She is sweet like that.

Brittany went too. She went seperate from us with about 8 other guys. They all followed her around like puppies. It was really funny to watch. She was the leader of that pack! Put a pretty girl in a bikini and those boys will go and do anything. I had lost my sunglasses in the 8 ft. water and Brittany made one of her little boy friends go down and find them for me. hehehe Hey...pretty girls in bikinis come in handy for me too. LOL Glad I got them back. I would have suffered the rest of the day without them.

It was apparently very hot today. 99 degrees. We didn't feel that heat hanging out in the water. It was refreshing. We are going to make a day of it with the whole gange here soon. Get the boys to grill us up some food...have a big group together to go. It will be fun.

I am writing up a contract for a couple. YIPPIE! I am glad. They are a really sweet couple. I have only had to show them like 4 houses. They pretty much knew which neighborhood they wanted to be in, so it wasn't too hard. The only sucky thing is the listing agent is a former agent from our office. I never met her, but apparently she got fired. It is REALLY hard to get fired as a Realtor from an office. From what I get from everyone is she is sneaky and not very ethical. She tries to make you feel intimidated to her and is just overall a bitch. I am not looking forward to that part. But ya know what...at this point I don't care who I have to work with to get a deal done! She can kiss my butt! ha Signing the contract tomorrow. We shall see if they accept.

Tomorrow. Work at the AC co. Go to my real estate job after that to do the contract. Probably out to eat and pick up Peyton from my mother who is taking the girls to chuck e cheese.

Ya'll have a good Friday! Weekend is near!

Wednesday, June 25, 2008

Yoo-hoo!

Well...Wednesday. What can I say about Wednesday. Wednesday was kinda ok. Busy and long but ok. I didn't get to spend very much time with Peyton today. That kinda stinks. But she seemed to have a good time at her Nana's. She came home tired, so I think she got wore out pretty good. Then Steve and Peyton ate dinner over there since I was doing a showing tonight. It went well. Looks like they want to make an offer on one that we looked at, so that's always a good thing. I need it. I know that much.

Tomorrow...Burger's Lake with all the girls and RC. Andi won't take off work to go with us. What an old fuddy duddy. We will picnic and hang out in the water. It is very hot here, so it's pretty much the only way you can hang out outside.

So...otherwise that's all I got. I'm tired and believe it or not, I'm going to bed early!!!
More tomorrow.

Lottie-da

Well...again..not much to report today. Had a meeting this morning. Peyton went and played with Ashleigh during that couple of hours. We ate lunch there. I brought both girls back to our house to give Andi some peace and Ashleigh and Peyton something to do. To my surprise, Andi was hesitant. Why you ask....Shoot...poor Ash would have just been there bored all day, it would have given Andi some peace and quiet from at least one child, would have given Peyton a playmate, and I...me...would be the one to deal with the nutty and VERY loud girls! So why would she hesitate??? SHE DIDN'T WANT TO PICK HER UP!!! I live 10 minutes from her!!! I am always and forever driving to saginaw to drop off and pick up kids. She cracks me up. Hello...how do you spell L..A..Z..Y....That would be A...N...D...I!!!! LOL (jk)

So the plan for the week...it's pretty booked up for all three of the Yorks.
Wed.....Steve....all day meeting at DFW airport., Ally....work at ac co. and showings at 6pm ....Peyton...of to Nana's for a day full of swimming. ( I am sure)
Thurs.....Steve...Training class all day...Me, Peyton, Ash, RC, Sydney and Brittany are all going to Burgers Lake. It's this big man made lake that has a little beach and such. It should be fun.
Friday...Steve...work. Ally...work at AC co. Peyton goes to Andi's and then Mom and John are picking up the girls to goto Chuck e cheese. (they are brave souls).
Saturday...Steve...homework....Ally and Peyton are getting our hair done. Then it's looking like Dad is going to take the girls for the day and possibly spend the night. Sunday....wooshh..I think we will rest! Busy, busy.

Peyton...no nap again. She did take a nap on Sunday. Like 2 1/2 hours. And I knew I probably should have woken her up earlier, but I was soooo enjoying it. BUT, she also couldn't sleep when it was time to go to bed. I went to turn her light off at 12:45 and she was STILL awake. I tried to lay her down today because she had to get up early, but she wasn't having any of it. She stayed in her room for like 1 1/2 hours. I opened the door and she said, "can I be awake now." Poor girl. She is done with the naps. But I still feel a little rest time alone in her room is a must. She is soooo all over the place and nonstop all day...I think sitting and reading a book in her room is a good way of chillin' out a little. Plus, Mommy still needs that time of peace as well.

She keeps thanking me for buying her earings. "Mommy, thank you for my new earings. I love them" "Mommy, my earings are so beautiful..thank you for buying me my new earings." She LOVES them. She did let me clean them tonight, but last night...she freaked. Tonight she actually offered to do them and brought me the stuff. She's too funny.

Those 2 girls together are SO loud. Have I mentioned that before. ha
K...off to finish out our very busy week. Hey...come by and see me again, would ya. ha
Oh...and RC....already is sucking at the blog updates...and Jessica...where the heck are ya girl! You're going on like 2 weeks behind. Geez.. hehe

She did it!!!!

Potty trained...check. Swimming without floaties...check. Getting her ears peirced..check!!!! President of the United States...well..we are still working on that one. ha

She did it people! She has been talking about it for 2 months. She chickened out the first time. Has been dead set against it since she saw Ashleigh do it. She has obsessed about it for the past 4-5 weeks. She just decided last night that she wanted to do it. I told her to sleep on it and let me know in the morning if she still wanted to do it...first thing she said this morning. "I want earings. It will only hurt for a minute, right." So Steve wanted to go too, we had to wait until he got home. So all day, "Mommy, can we go to the earing store now?" She was ready..and ready NOW!

She did great! We were so concerned about if she would decide not to do it, that we forgot to take pictures while she was getting it done. But we got that picture above right afterwards. She loves them. They are little pink stones in the shape of a flower with a white stone in the middle. She wanted blue, but those only came in stainless steel. I wanted her to have sterling silver or gold. So good job...Peyton! You did GREAT!

So no blogs over the weekend! Sorry! I was going to yesterday but my email was down all day yesterday. Wasn't a lot to tell anyway. I did two open houses over the weekend. One Sat. and one Sunday. Did some work. Yesterday was pretty much a dud because Steve had a paper to write and it took him ALL day. It had to be 450 words. He had 150 words done early in the morning. In the time I cooked us breakfast, took a shower, got ready, went to the office, did my open house, took all the signs down and got home...he had done 100 words!!!!!!! Do you see my frustrations on the slowness factors!!! It's with everything! ugghh. He a perfectonist with his school work. Which is good. And he has straight A's in college. Just wish he could write papers faster. ha Otherwise, we cleaned house. We fired our cleaning ladies in an effort to save money. But, man...what a whoopin'. I was pooped. And I didn't even do the wood floors yet. I hate cleaning. I need to sell some houses so I can hire them back!

People..it is hot!!! Today I took Peyton over to Rae Carol's so that all the girls could slide on the giant waterslide that we bought last year. They enjoyed it. It's pretty much the only time you can be outside is if you are playing in some sort of water. Summers in Texas suck!

Tomorrow I have a meeting in the AM then am, so far, free in the afternoon. I do have some showings scheduled Wed. evening...so that's a good thing. I have showed these people before. I think they are not in a hurry, and are having a hard time making some decisions. I showed them 2 houses that were totally up their alley, and they didn't want to commit to one. So I will show them several more on Wed. We'll see what happens. I need something to happen, and soon!

I called an old friend of mine, Steve Wingate today. He had sent me some pictures of his new baby, Presley. She is so adorable. She and Addy are like 13 days apart. It was nice to talk to him. Hopefully we can get together for dinner one night soon. Stevie..if you read this...let me know what is good for you.

Otherwise...nothing much else. Here are a couple more pics of Peyton from this evening. Night.

Gotta kiss that penny and make a wish!

Good throw!

I thought this was cute. Daddy and daughter
leaving the mall. Peyton clinging on to her loot.

Steve blogs....

I'm gonna give Steve a stab at this blog thing. Let's see what he has to say....

today has been a very trying day for me as it was a stressful day at work. Tonight has been "interesting" as well as it seems that it has been Ally's goal tonight to see just how much she can annoy me and get on my nerves...but I'm sure that it is all done out of love. Okay, I've said my peace, so happy reading.

I told him that whatever he writes stays. And to remember...this is going to be put into permanant ink someday. Interesting that he thinks I am annoying him. How rude. LOL Ok..I've been a pest tonight. Only because he annoys me sometimes with how freakin' slow he can be. 6pm...I get home from work and picking up Peyton, and he had been home for an hour and a half already...obviously has fallen asleep in the chair. I sit down, chill a little, by 6:15 I ask where he wants to go to eat dinner near the Wal-Mart where we grocery shop. We decide on a little italian place near there. Ok...fine. 45 minutes later he is finally ready to walk out the door. Took him 15 mins. to get off the couch, 15 mins. to change into shorts....oh..and of course, he has to go the bathroom before we walk out the door....that's another 15 minutes. He is notorius for the bathroom thing. Ask anybody. It's like picking up his keys suddenly makes his insides have to expel themselves. Ugghhh... So dinner was fine. He drives slow...he gets Peyton out of the car slow....and shops at the grocery store slow. My goal...get in...get out. Hard to do when you have Mr. be nice, let everybody ahead of you, slow poke ass of a husband. (This is of course all said jokingly) But ya know what....I love 'em. He is good to me. He puts up with me, (as I put up with him), we raz each other but it's all done with love. I annoy him...he annoys me....isn't what love is all about. Uh-oh...he wants a write a rebuttal....this should be interesting....

Ok, I just have a few things to say. First of all WHAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!! Secondly, she has been just about as annoying tonight as Rae Carol was when she was a SORE loser at the lazy race (I know, I know, I'm going to hear it for the next month about how the extra three feet I missed in the obstical course would have magically taken her from seventh place to second place...so WHAAA to that too) . Thirdly, I like to slow down and smell the roses sometimes, where as she likes to see if she can set them on fire by how fast she passes by them. I felt like I was doing wind sprints in the aisles of Wal Mart. Fourth...WHAAAAAA again!! hehe. Okay, I'm done...for now.

Ok...I laughed so hard at that, I just about peed my pants. My husband is a funny man. LOL Slow...but funny.

Ok...hope you enjoyed some of the York family bantering. hehe
Have a good weekend.

yada yada yada

Well...Thursday. Again, not much.

Nana wanted me to bring Peyton over there today to swim with some other little kids that were coming over. I felt like I hadn't seen Peyton all week, so I kept her home today. Peyton has been kind of clingy too, so I think she has been missing me. Plus, I have to work all day tomorrow and have an open house on Sat. so, I wanted to spend some time...just she and I. Nana is awesome though. She has been very helpful with Peyton. She is always ready, willing and able to help. I would be in big trouble if it weren't for her. So.....Nana...THANK YOU!

Peyton and I went and ate lunch with my Bosses Pizza buddy...Bridget. She is the only one that will go eat there with me anymore. I love that place. Some aren't as fond of it. I don't get to see her much anymore, so it's nice to go to lunch with her every so often and catch up on what's going on.

Then off to the dry cleaners, a clothes store because I had a coupon and desperately need nice shirts. I got a $40 shirt for $16. It was 25% off, and then my coupon. Building my wardrobe a little at a time. Still need pj's. They had some decent ones but wanted $30 for a nightshirt. I thought that was a little out of line.

Have a gift card to Hobby Lobby....(love that store) that my client who's house I sold last month sent me as a thank you. I thought that was nice. Anyway...I saw a picture there I wanted to buy last week that was 50% off, but it was no longer on sale. ;((( Sooo... I will wait until they go on sale again. They are always putting that stuff on sale so i know if I buy it when it's not, it will be next week. So I will be patient.

We went to Sonic for happy hour drinks. Half price! Gotta love that. She was complaining she was thirsty and wanted a diet coke. I let her have one as a treat. I don't let her drink it often, but it's a treat when she gets too.

Home again and attempted a nap. NOT. She got up to go to the bathroom and told me she was going and I said ok. I noticed she was in there for a while and went in there to find half an empty toilet paper roll that had at least a half a roll of toilet paper on it. She tried flushing it all and it got clogged up. I couldn't get it unclogged. Another job for Steve.

Fine. Peyton isn't going to take a nap. Well, then I told her to go clean her room. That was at like 4:30. Her room got clean at like 9:30. It takes a miracle to get that girl to clean her room. uggghh....

Steve had a meeting, lunch and happy hour thing at the Worthington Hotel here in Fort Worth today. He didn't get home until 7:30, but said it was very good and productive. So he walks in the door...I had dinner made ready to eat. Then said, "Welcome Home honey. Dinner is ready for you, the toilet is clogged and there is a dog poop stain that I attempted to clean in the dining room for ya....love ya." LOL He started to turn and walk out of the door again. hehe Heck, I already had to clean up the backyard from this mornings storm, clean up the poop in the dining room (Steve is a pro at the stains...so I leave that part for him), clean Peyton up after playing in the toilet that she had just peed in...after she stuffed the other toilet with toilet paper. I think I am now going to have to watch her at every potty break. It's been a messy day. ha

I am really just frustrated.....I have a couple that liked a house I showed them last week...the day we looked the sellers accepted an offer. Then I found a foreclosure in the same neighborhood they want to be in...in their price range....call to tell them about it, we decided to go take look tonight...I pull it up, it's got a contract pending. Other buyers I am working with are calling me back or rejecting every listing I send them, or they have a death in the family, or their wife is sick in the hospital....the excuses go on and on!!! Then Julie, our team leader, sent me and the other agents in our team saying she didn't see any closings scheduled for next week and she is just making sure she isn't missing anything. LOL I wrote back.... and said, "as much as I would love to say you are mistaken..I have 4 closings...I don't, but I sure am trying." I'm not sure what else to say. I think they she and Nicole are trying something new with the leads where Nicole (the listing agent and Julie's helper) is going to work them until they are ready to show...ie, send listings, call...and see if they are serious buyers. Either that, or they are seeing if it's the buyers agents fault we aren't converting leads or the buyers that are calling in that are just not serious buyers. I don't know. But I know it's not just me that is having trouble. The other buyer's agents are too...and most all of the agents at our office. I think people are looking to see if there are, in fact, deals out ther to be had, and decide to wait. I don't know. Ya'll tell me. It really is a good time to buy. There are good deals out there. Interest rates are decent. People are desperate. People have to lower their home prices to get them sold because there is a lot of competition...a lot of houses on the market. Although, I know houses are selling because when I take clients to look at them, before we even get out the door another offer gets signed. ha

Whatever.....anyway. Peyton and I had a good day together. And tomorrow she goes to Ashleigh's to play. She likes that. She misses Ash. She hasn't seen her all week. I have to slave away at the AC co. tomorrow. (not really...but I do have to be there.)

Happy Friday to you!

hum drum

It's been a hum drum day. Nothing too exciting. Worked at the AC co. All alone...all by myself. Used to be the AC co. office was out of the Linder's house. Now it's based out of the shop and I don't have Andi's annoyances and all the kids running around. Kind of nice, but I liked it better the other way. Oh well.

So ya know. Nothing much. Not much real estate stuff going on.

One thing I LOVE and am happy about. The show "Flipping out" on Bravo. About a Real Estate investor who is a little nutts and admits it. It cracks me up. Ok. This proves how dull things are today. LOL

Hey....Have a good Thurs. Hopefully I will have something worth blogging about tomorrow.

"Look Mom, no floaties"

This child shocks the hell out of me on a daily basis. Just Sunday she was swimming with the floaties. We tried it without the floaties, and she really didn't do that great. Two days later...swimming with Nana, she says to her, "I don't want to wear these floaties anymore." We always let her try swimming without them with our assistance. She took them off and swam right to her Nana. Unbelievable. Nana calls me and says you might want to come over here and see this..she is swimming without her floaties. I'm thinking, she's paddeling around a little. So I was fixing to go pick her up for the day anyway, so I scoot on over there and sure enough the above video is what I find. She set her mind to the fact that she isn't going to wear those floaties anymore, and she is going to sink or swim. And swim she did. Unbelievable. It is just amazing to me. I think Sunday she saw Sydney swimming around like a little fish and watched to see how she did it, and just figured it out. Craziness I tell ya. Congrats Peyton! Nana is just thrilled that she got to be the one there when she did it for the first time. I am happy too. But I am glad I got there quick to see her excitement.

She is also a very observant child. She came in our bathroom yesterday and first thing she says, "where is Daddy's green toothbrush?" I didn't really have any idea what color Steve's toothbrush is let alone my own. I look...then I look in the trash can and can see the empty wrapper of the new toothbrush. Sure enough...he had changed his green one to a blue one. I was shocked by that too. I think all these years, and really more than to any extent that we all know of or observed, she has been watching everything. She sees things we don't. She witnesses things that we didn't know she did. She soak it all up like a sponge. She learns it. She thinks and dreams about it. She processes everything. Every little, teeny, tiny thing. So weird. But we are all busy just taking for granted how to do things, and just does them without thinkin how we learned it or that our child is even watching us do it. It really is unbelievable to watch as she learns and grows and all that goes behind it.

Peyton is spending the night at her Nana and Papa's house. Papa asked her if she wanted to and that was the end of that. Which works out well for me because I have to work at the AC co. tomorrow. She will have more fun there tomorrow than sitting up at that office. But I didn't get to spend much time with her today, she's gone tonight and I won't be able to pick her up until after 5pm tomorrow. Have I mentioned being a working mom sucks. We will have to do something special just Steve, me and Peyton. We are thinking about taking her to the drive through animal thing. You know where there are giraffs that come in the window of your car. Can't think of the name of it. She may love that or hate it. I don't know if that will scare her.

Today for me was kind of slow. Not much going on today. A good break after the the past several days. Peyton initially went over to Nana's because a friend of hers was bringing her son and another child over to swim and we thought she would enjoy that. Well, we had a storm come through early in the afternoon and they didn't come. So they will try again for Thurs.

Here are a few more pics of her swimming with no floaties. Enjoy and more tomorrow.

The Steve's "Dad" story

So I mentioned many blogs ago that I would one day tell the story on Steve's dad. So I will do a brief version..

They don't speak and haven't for probably 2 1/2 years. Steve has always had resentment in the way he was raised and treated by him. He was/is a very controlling man. There are stories I have heard that from Steve and his mom. It was hard to have fun and joke around in their home. Steve was on a very short leash. As he has grown up into adulthood it continued. Probably the most unbelievable thing I witnessed was when Steve went out and bought his first car on his own without help from his parents. He traded in his truck and bought a 1994 Eagle Talon. He was 23 years old. His dad was pissed that he didn't ask him for help. That Steve wouldn't take what help was offered in helping him sell his truck privately. I remember being on the phone months later with is Dad pretty much trying to talk him out of writing Steve out of his life. Telling him how stupid it was to lose a son over a car. Let the boy be a man and take care of his own affairs. That kind of stuff.

He hasn't seen Peyton but 2 times, the last time being when she was about 6 weeks old. I later find out that from that visit he was upset because Peyton wouldn't wake up for us to take a family picture. He was going to sit there with the camera set up and have us sit in the same chair until she woke up. She was 6 weeks old and up all night and sleeping all day. It wasn't going to happen. We just wanted the picture taken with her asleep. Nonetheless, he didn't get the picture he wanted. And then got upset that we didn't ask him to take the family pictures we took of us and my sisters families. Kevin's dad took them. It came to a head when he said he was upset that we never ask him to stay at our house when he comes in town. By the way, he used to be a wedding photographer and lives in Orange, TX. It never came up before..we just figured that he and his girlfriend prefered a hotel. Plus, we have had so many people in and out of here staying with us, we don't really ask people to come stay with us anymore. He found out that Steve's Mom had stayed with us on a trip here when they lived in Amarillo. That really made him mad. We also found out 10 years later that he was upset that at my wedding when he was dancing with me, Steve cut in. Just total ridiculous stuff. All of this controling stuff was confirmed by one of his x-girlfriends that went on a cruise with us and his dad. She told us, "watch your children with your dad. He has your number and knows that you are the last person he can control and takes pride in it." She broke up with him the day after the cruise. ha

That stuck in our head for several years after. And it just all blew up one day. Everything and the kitchen sink came out. Steve never has even remotely crossed his dad or spoken to him in a raised voice. He was taught not to. It was a house where you didn't speak your mind at all. His word was the final word. After they had it out, I really tried to get them to talk it out, explained what Steve's feelings were and told him that if he wants a relationship with his son, he is going to have to make the next step with him by calling him and working it out because Steve wasn't going to make the effort anymore. Instead, a month or so later he emailed me and told me to send him the copy of the Will we had for him. He was changing the beneficiary from Steve to his girlfriend. Because if something were to happen to him, after the way Steve has spoken about him he would be afraid what he would do with him after he is dead. And he would doubt that we would even care enough to show to a funeral. And that he did. Wrote Steve, Peyton and I out of his life. I was so offended, that I told him I have been trying for months to try to work things out between steve and him, and he has now insulted not only Steve, but our family as a whole, and I will not tolerate it. I told him that I, too, would not be contacting him anymore either. He didn't send Peyton anything for her first birthday, first Christmas...Easter....nothing! He couldn't care less about his son, me or Peyton. I tried for months after Steve and he stopped talking. I would send pictures of Peyton and updates and such, just so he would know something about his granddaugher. It just took me longer than Steve to realize he couldn't give a crap.

Steve doesn't even think twice about him. I ask him sometimes if he ever thinks about wanting to work things out with him. He tells me I will never understand how far done he is with it. He has no remorse and also wants nothing to do with him after the things he did and said. Let alone all the things he had to put up with growing up.

As hard headed as both of these men are. I am pretty positive they will never speak again. It's sad. I don't understand it. Our family has our issues, but we would never not speak for any extended period of time. I didn't live his childhood though, so I can't judge. But it's just sad to me that Peyton will not know Steve's dad. It's sad and baffeling to me how he could not love her. How he could just aboslutely pretend like he doesn't have a beautiful 3 year old granddaugher. I send a christmas card every year that has our picture on it, but that's the only time he ever sees a picture of Peyton. His girlfriend sends us a card at Christmas, but he doesn't.

He is a miserable man. He has some issues with himself, obviously. But the best thing I got from him, is his son. And now Peyton that his son gave me. So thank you, Snider. You don't have any idea what your missing. Nothing but love, peace and happiness. Maybe someday he will find those things for himself.

So there ya go....night.

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all you Dad's. This is the video I made for Steve for Father's Day. He loved it. I couldn't get it to burn onto a disk for some reason, so he had to watch it on the computer...which I guess doesn't matter because he would have had to watch it there anyway...so whatever.

Today Steve we got up and got ready to go to Dad's. We were running late so I just went ahead to go over there and start breakfast so I didn't get yelled at. Got breakfast going at Dad's, all ate and hung out. They boys left to go play golf for the rest of the day and us girls, kids and Dad swam in the pool. Left there about 4:30 and us girls and kids headed to Pasadas (mexican place) to have Brittany's boyfriend wait on us. He waites tables there. Peyton and I came home and hung out. Steve got home around 8pm. I cleaned house and Steve started to prepare the ribs we are making for Jim tomorrow. I have to cook those in the afternoon for like 4 hours and then we will take them over there to cook on the grill. Got Potatoes, corn, rolls and i think Steve's mom is making salad. Got some strawberry shortcake too for desert. It should be good.

Peyton has had a very busy weekend. Saturday She and I hung out in the morning while I prepared my afternoon of work. Steve got home from work, and off I go to work. I went to leave the house and I said, "I will be back in a while, Mommy has to go work for a little bit." She FREAKED out! "No Mommy, I want to go with you. Please don't leave. Let me go. Don't work, Mommy."....on and on all while crying and screaming. I tried to calm her and tell her I will be back very shortly and her and daddy are going to to the store and will see her back home. Steve had to pull her off of my legs so I could get out the door as I was already running late. I just hurried out the door. I could hear her screaming right inside the door. Broke my heart. Steve said after I left she sat by the door to the garage for at least 5 minutes crying. She wouldn't let him bring her in the other room. Ok...double break my heart. So later after we all got back, I asked her why she cried when Mommy left and that she knows anytime I ever leave her I will always be back for her. She said she knew. So I said, "so Peyton, don't make Mommy sad by crying like that. I will always come back home but Mommy has to work to buy all the pretty dresses and hair bows and shoes for you." She said, "Ok, Mommy. But I just love you very much". Ok...tears start flowing. It is so hard to be a working mother. Moreso than I ever thought. The guilt that goes along with it sucks more than anything. I don't want her to feel abandoned. So the past day or so, she says to me, "you have to leave and work sometimes mommy to make money." I say, "yes, Peyton. A lot of Mommy's and Daddys have to do that." She says, "yeah, so you can buy me some new dresses, right." LOL She is so darned smart, that kid.

Anyway. I am not talking about the lazy race anymore because of the sore losers! Why such the shock that Steve and I could actually have come in second is beyond me. Cause we're fat?? Well, so are some of the others. Maybe our brains are just bigger too! We are a good team together. What can I say. Now that's all I have to say about it.

Ya'll have a great week! Later gators!

The York Team ROCKS

Uh huh..you know it..The York Team came in 2nd PLACE!!!! Thank you very much! Here is the lowdown!
There were 9 teams. Katie and Jessica, Brian's YOUNG sisters won 1st, and I can't remember now who came in 3rd. (old age) Where were Kevin and RC in this line up!!!! LOL!!!! Something like 7th or 8th.....wayyyy back there. Where was Brittany in this line up!!! Again, like 7th or 8th!!!! LOL I can't believe they sucked it up so bad. And the funny thing is, they are such sore losers that they keep accusing me and Steve of cheating! They just can't get over that Steve and I ROCK! We may be fattys but we are still competitive, get it done, people. So Harris'...BOOO to you! We did NOT cheat. The only thing that happened was on the obsticle course, Steve came out the side and didn't come out the end on the last thing. But Little Brian gave us our card. Seriously...that was maybe 2 seconds gained. 2nd to 7th place...2 seconds ain't gonna mean squat. They say we dumped out our snow cone...hell no...we just figured out after a couple of big bites...gotta take small bites or the frozen head comes on faster. Plus I am a master driver....minus almost hitting a man in the parking lot...I got us back and forth very quickly. ha
I'm sure this will all be on Andi's blog too, but here are the tasks:
Everybody went in a different order, but all the same tasks were done.
Pick up as many lays as possible scattered on the yard. Get next clue:

find the green dot on the bottom of 100 lay flowers layed on the table. Get clue:

find a key buried in a sandbox. Get clue

fill a tube with water using shot glasses. Ping pong ball in tube must come up to top. get clue (that one sucked...a lot of running back and forth from bucket to tube.)

Find a rubber ducky full of rubber duckys in a bath tube full of water that says 1st annual lazy race on it.

Go to the snowcone stand up the street and eat a tigers blood snow cone. There was nearly a lot of yacking going on.

Get on these stupid horse bouncy things and bounce across the yard and back. this was Very hard. Couldn't do it. had to walk it with it in between my legs...I fell over 2 inches from a big steaming pile of dog crap!

Go through this blow up obsticle course thing. Steve did great!

Play a hand of poker and win against andi

complete a word scramble

Hum...I think that was it. It was 95 degrees during all of his. We were all sweating like pigs. I was light headed for a good 3 hours. We all were doping up on advil before the race to help with the aches and pains afterwards, and I am sure there are many hitting the advil again. I know I am..ha

So anyway...it was really a lot of fun. We got $50 out of it..so that's cool. Thanks Linder's...they did a good job putting it on, and the bbq was great too.

So there ya have it....2nd place people! hahahahahahahahaha....nanananana...boboboboboboooo hehe

Tomorrow...father's day. Steve and the bro-in-laws are going to play golf all day. We are going to do breakfast with dad. Steve is taking the day for himself, and I don't blame him. For Steve's Step dad...we are planning a bbq rib dinner, as per his request. We are going to have to do it on Monday though...or whatever day he can do it. Steve was worried about that and was going to skip out on golf with the boys, but I reminded him that he is a dad too, and should go do what makes him happy and have fun. I hope Jim won't mind. We'll make it a nice evening for him. He is understanding with all that. The holiday celebration doesn't necessarily have to be ON the holiday. Unlike...some people I know... not naming names.

Ok my peeps. That's the story. Have a good Sunday/Father's day. xoxo

OMG!

Oh my God! This has been a marathon of a day! Ok. So Andi was kind enough to let Peyton spend the night so I didn't have to get her up so early. AND let her stay the day over there while Steve and I were working. Thanks, Andi. Much appreciated. So I guess Peyton and Ashleigh didn' go to sleep till like 2am. Andi had to go in there at 1:30am to shut them up. She was awoken by.. "Elmo loves you, Elmo loves you, yes he does. Yes he does...." (Elmo singing)
Good Lord. I have let them sleep together befor and they were asleep in an hour. Wonder why it took them so long. Oh well. Plus Peyton didn't nap either. She's gotta be tired. She's been in bed now for a while.

So my day....VERY long! Started at 6am. Made it to the shop on time! I was impressed with myself. I am shocked. 2am people! I couldn't fall asleep until 2am. So I have been going on 4 hours of sleep today...the longest possible day of the year. I worked at the AC co. until 11:30. I then hightailed it out of there to make it to my real estate office by noon. Oh wait....let me back up. Oh...Jessica...I broke your chair. I tried to lean over to the side of the chair too far to reach my book on the floor, and one of the wheels broke off. I had to stand the rest of the time. Nahh..just kidding. I snagged Brian's chair. Gonna have to buy a new chair. SORRY! ha

Anyway...hightailed it to my real estate office and had to stay there until 3pm. Mind you...all during this time I am fielding calls . Apparently everybody and their mother wanted to look at houses today! I haven't been busy all week...and the one day I was already half way booked...craziness happens. I blame that and the chair on it being Friday the 13th. So with fielding all of those calls, I came out with 3 showings. Lake Worth...be there by 3:30. Downtown Fort Worth...5pm. South side of Fort Worth (I live on the N. side.) by 5:45. I met steve and Peyton for dinner and didn't get home until almost 8pm.

Now...I am very sensative to lack of sleep. I really didn't feel too sleepy...I just was too busy to worry about it. I looked in the mirror and my eyes have been so blood shot all day. I look like a druggy. My feet are swallen like I am 9 months pregnant again. Do you see....Do you see people....I am not made for only 4 hours of sleep. I always have been like that with the swelling. Lack of sleep, traveling, too much salty food, 9lb babies in my belly...all things that make my feet swell. It was SOOOOOO freakin' hot today. Why did I wear black capris, I ask you?? Retarded I guess. I could not cool off from showing to showing. My car said it was 98 degrees the whole time. HOT STUFF!

Have I complained and whined enough for you all. See...I am tired. I get whiney when I am tired. LOL

Tomorrow...Steve works in the am. I have a showing at 1pm. Hopefully am writing a contract for a house I showed today and have it turned in by noon. (that would be a miracle). This house already got an offer and they have to answer by noon...so if we don't get ours in by then, they will probably accept it. Probably isnt going to happen. We shall see.

So this has got to be the whiniest blog ever. Sorry.

Tomorrow also is the Lazy Race. You know there is going to be like 19 couples!!!! I thought it would be 5 or 6! Crazy! Stiff competition. I think we will do ok. Steve has the brains, and I have the speed! ha I will need a nap before this race though. I'm gonna get an advantage by not eating any bbq before the race like everybody else. Let them all stuff their face and be all full and miserable while I am running my ass off trying to get through the race so I can eat. ha

Ok...that's the best jokes I can give ya today folks. Must...must...must go to bed! Let ya know how the lazy race goes! Should be fun.
(ps...I just proofread this...and ALOT of typos...too tired to fix em, so just deal with it)

Not a morning person

One thing most people know about me...or maybe you don't...I am NOT a morning person. Never have been...never will be. I am a night owl and as hard as I try, I will always be a night owl. I am most productive at night. I do my best work at night. I think my best at night. Maybe that's why my nickname is Allycat. I don't know. I have grown to accept it. I have always chosen jobs that do not require my presence before at least 9am. I am not a responsible person when it comes to mornings. I will talk to myself and talk myself out of getting somewhere early. The alarm goes off. "oh hell...I'll skip breakfast". goes off again. "I'll speed" Goes off again..."I'll shower when I get home." goes off again. "I'll not brush my teeth". But the time the final alarm goes off, I will be in a nasty wreck from speeding, hungry and looking like a street person from no shower and unbrushed teeth. So I say, "well, I can't go in looking like this, and I can't make it in time even if I speed." And go back to sleep. Irresponsible...admittadly. That's why I have always been a crappy student. If they had night school, I am all over it and would probably be on top of my class.

The Linders want me at the shop to work at 7-freakin'AM. OMG! I just hope I don't talk myself out of it at the last minute. Although, Steve knows when I ask him to wake me up before he leaves, he can't leave until I am up. So hopefully he will keep me responsible. One day...I can do it. Right??? We'll see. I made sure the Linders' know this 7am stuff is not going to be able to be a regular thing. They would fire me day 2! ha

Peyton is spending the night with Ashleigh. Because, like her mother, is also not a morning person. I didn't want to get her up at 5:45am. Not fair to her, I feel. Spoiled..sure. But you don't have to put up with her by the time noon rolls around and is dead tired and won't take a nap. uh-huh...so stop judging. ha

Floor duty today. Nothing. Peyton went to Nana's house and swam. I had a showing at 6:30 on the South side of Fort Worth. Steve went with me because it's not the best part of town. Although, it really was a cute house. For $100k, you can't beat it. But I am sure I will find a way to run them off too. ha One promising one I followed up on to show a property this weekend, emailed back and said they decided on a property in Colleyville. Well, shit...GIVE ME A BREAK PEOPLE!!!! I either suck or have no luck whatsoever. Ugghhh.....

Otherwise tomorrow is basically going to suck. I have to be at the shop at 7am til 11:30. Then go and sit at my real estate office from 12-3 to fill in for our manager who has a class to take, then go back to the shop from 3:30 - 5pm. A lot of sitting at offices. Fun, Iknow. Don't be jealous. ugghh...again.!!!

Ok...I am going to attempt to go to bed at a normal human time this eveing. I already have to be up in 7 hours. Oy vey. Night.

ugghh!

The video I have been trying to download will not download! I don't get it. I thought I would see if a different video would load...one I have done before. and it worked, but the other won't. I just don't get it. It is the same length of time as the other...so I just don't get it! Whatever...I give up!

Otherwise...just as the title this blog described...ugghh of a day. Boring, not busy and a tiresome day all in one. Peyton wore me out today. Just all over the place, and more into everything than usual. Cooped up energy. I was sooo tired today from not sleeping well lately, and didn't feel like doing much. We did meet RC, Kev, Britt and her friend at mark deans for dinner. So on our way back we stopped off at Steve's parents to let Peyton swim. We were passing by there anyway, so it worked out good. She needed to get rid of some of that energy. It has been very hot here lately. Too hot to let her play outside unless she is in the pool. It worked. Made her good and tired.

Took Chloe dog to the groomer today. She looks sooo much better. Peyton was concerned about leaving her there at the groomer. She immediately wanted to go get her. She thought Tina, our hairdresser, was going to do it. She thought Chloe was going to sit in the chair she sits in to get a haircut. I think I got her to understand though.

So...looks like I am going to work at the AC co. again for a couple days a week. Wed. and Fri. Gotta do it. They could use the help, and I need the little bit of extra money. Things are pretty slow with the real estate right now, so I have to subsidize our income a bit. I will try to figure out how to juggle it. And hopefully, it will be a pretty temporary deal. I appreciate the Linder's for letting me work again. Only answering phones! Not doing any of the paperwork. They have Jessica doing that the other days fo the week, so best if only one person does it so it all gets done the same, consistant way.

I plan on making a KILLING in the months and years ahead in real estate! haha Just hittin' a rough spot right now. We'll get through it though.

All I got folks. Night

Just a hangin'

The highlight of my week! Subs! Oh man...good stuff. Per auntie S's request I will describe. ha
I got a whole cheese steak and 1/2 reg., and steve a whole reg. and a 1/2 cheese steak. We had some for lunch, some for dinner and will have more for lunch tomorrow. ;))) Lettuce, tomatoe, onion, peppers on the side. The cheese steaks take a little work. But steve does great at making them taste like they are fresh off of the Sack-O's grill. She grills up onions, takes the meat out and heats that up seperate from the bread because if you just microwave the whole sub it can get soggy. Add some mayo and peppers, and good to go! YUM!!!! I am looking forward to lunch tomorrow.

Steve stayed home today claiming a sore throat. Which he has had for over a week. I told him to go to the dr...as he is always telling me to do if I even tell him a hair folicle hurts. But he wouldn't go. But he got to enjoy subs for lunch too.

I went and got Peyton some craft stuff to do over the next week or so to keep her busy. I can sense that she is bored. I have to be creative and do things that will stimulate her and burn some of this energy that she keeps. She asked me today, "Momma I wasn't born". I kinda laughed and said, "yes, you were..right from my tummy, and I have the video to prove it." She said, "YOU DO". Back up a little...girl LOVES to "watch herself as a baby". I have countless videos from birth to present. She prefers the baby videos over the newer videos. So anyway, she begged to be able to watch it. I was looking for it, and she was behind me, "you find it Mommy? Is it that one. How about that one." I turned it on. Glued to the TV for the full half our of the video. She had lots of questions. "They hurt your tummy Mommy." I explained that they didn't hurt me. (although..really they did. ha) " Mommy are they going to fix your tummy? I was at the dr. You were at the dr. I got a shot and was crying. I didn't get shots that day. Why were your crying, Mommy. Where are they taking me." etc. you get the drift. She watched it 2 times. ha

Not much else. Had my meeting and tour this morning. Had a showing this afternoon. Went grocery shopping. We seriously are going to have to cut back. Steve is carpooling to work, I am clipping coupons. We aren't/can't eat out as much. Looking like I am going to have to cut the cleaning ladies for a while. BOO-HOO! That is upsetting. I have gotten so spoiled with having them. But seriously...spending a lot more at the grocery store and gas. It really has eat into our budget bigtime. Electric bills are going up because of how hot it is, the water bill is higher so keep the yard alive, and just overall do not have as much money left over at the end of the month. Time to cut back and keep an eye on the money going out the door. I am hopeful the economy is going to get better soon. Thus, making all these people I have on the fence about buying homes decide it is a good time to buy.

I haven't been sleeping well lately. Having a hard time falling asleep and waking up more during the night. So I am really tired tonight. I am going to hit the hay. More tomorrow peoples!

Who dat baby!

That's MY baby! ha Oh my gosh...I can't believe
she was ever that small.

Look how cute that baby is! Look at
that perfect face! She was only 4 days
old there. A BIG beautiful baby!

God I want another one! It makes me smile and kind of sad at the same time to see those baby pictures. Smile because I'm so in love with that child, but sad because she will never be that small again, and possibly won't be able to have that experience again. She just keeps getting bigger and bigger. And time is running out for Steve and I to have another. We are 2 years and 3 months into that effort to no avail. Depressing. For sure. But so thankful for the healthy beauty that I have. Our "deadline" is fast approaching. Really, I don't have a date in mind, I just know the deadline is approaching. We are 36. At this point we are going to be senior citizens by the time any possible new baby would graduate. (Damn, now I'm more depressed...I'm old AND infertile!!..ha)

No worries. I go through this about once a month then the rest of the month I am thinking "How the hell would I handle another child." ha Only thing I can say is if it's meant to be, it will be. If not, Steve will be in line at the snip, snip dr. He says he isn't doing it, but I remind him how wonderfully surpised we will be when we are parents for the second time at age 45, and how any hope of an early retirement is out the window. Snip, snip ain't sounding so bad now, huh. hahaha

Ok....'nuf of that crap. Today...floor duty. Got nothing. Peyton went to Ash's house and played and played. I think she was making up for the boring weekend she had. She crashed in the car on the way home and in bed by 9pm. Steve and his step-dad are going to start carpooling to work. They both don't leave work until about 4:30 so it should work out. I imagine there is going to be a lot of having to wait on each other, but I think the savings on gas is going to be worth it. $3.90 a gallon people!!! It's either rideshare or get a moped! Steve would look awfully funny driving the freeway at 6am on a scooter. LOL (oh, the image....) THAT'S WHAT I SHOULD GET HIM FOR FATHER'S DAY!!! hehe

Is it sad that my husband doesn't read his own family blog. LOL He says, "I don't need to read it, I live it." OKIE DOKIE! ha

Still can't get the video to download, and I cant remember the password to a website that you can download that stuff to as an alternative to get it on your blog. I KNEW I should have written that down. It won't even let me try anymore...it kicked me off of the site. ha

Tomorrow...Meeting at 9am. Peyton to Steve's mom's house. I don't know if it's just me, but things have been very slow at work. Come on people! It really is a good time to buy! ;)

Otherwise, not much else going on. Atlantic City subs will be here tomorrow. Is that sad that it will be the highlight of my week. ha Lazy race this weekend.. should be interesting. And of course, Father's day. That will be a busy day.

Auntie S...Cousin "It"....was it from the Munster's show Cousin "It" is from??? Jessica...I was up doing that dad-gum video. I couldn't stop. It's an obsession once I get started. ha

Good Morning, and If I don't see ya, Good afternoon and Goodnite. (Name that movie!)

Short and sweet

Howdy folks
Gonna be a short one, being it's after 1am. I spent most of my evening working a father's day video for Steve. shhh.... Gonna burn it to a disk and give it to him for father's day. And, no..that's not all I'm giving him.

A good weekend. Pretty uneventful. Work, steve doing homework and we managed to fit in a jot out to our friends house for a nice evening.
Peyton headed straight to bed after bath time because of how she acted. I saw her light was on and opened her door and there is wide awake on her bed. She sat in there for 1 hour and 20 minutes. She said she was sorry for how she acted and I put her hair back so she didn't look like cousin It in the morning and we tried again. Honestly, I haven't been back in there, but I figure she will eventually fall asleep.

Not much else to report. I must go to bed. I am sure Peyton will be getting me up much earlier than I will like in the AM. More tomorrow for sure.
Hope you all had a GREAT weekend. Oh, and Christina...I am glad you are doing so well. Keep in touch, will ya.

Good stuff

So peaceful. I thought it was funny how her arms were thrown up abovve her. Poor Dora next to her...she doesn't look quite so comfy. ha

So today was good. After my Mom's clinic we met with Andi and the girls at Chili's for lunch. Not only a free lunch, but Mom offered to take Peyton for the day. What...the whole day!!! OMG! Heck yeah! So off she goes with Meme. It's been a long time since my Mom has gotten to keep any of the girls. Probably before her kidney transplant. Mom had surgery last week, so she is still working on getting her strength back. I was a little worried about that because Peyton can wear out fully healthy person. ha But I figured it would cheer my Mom up and make her smile a little. I think it did. So they hung out and Meme's house just watching TV, coloring and playing. After Grandpa John got home they took her out to dinner and went to buy a purse. Meme told Peyton when she went a week and didn't have any potty accidents that she would buy her a purse. Peyton hasn't peed or pooped in her panties in probably a month. Not even when she is sleeping. She wakes up dry every morning. I am still too scared to let her go to sleep without a pull up on though. I'll give that a little longer.

Well, you say...during this wonderful afternoon of peace what did I do....did I shop. No. Too broke for that. Did I work? Nope. Not much going on with work lately. Did I sleep? Hell yeah I did! I slept my butt off. I couldn't believe it. I was thinking on my way back, "what should I do all day". I got home, checked my email..nothing..checked my phone, nothing....screw it. I'm taking a nap! I slept all afternoon. From 1-4! Never woke up even for a minute during that time. God it felt good! I have relapsed a little with the sore throat and stuffyness. Steve has it now and I'm sure I re-got it from him. My eyes have been goopy in the AM too. I do still have drops from the last time I had that...so I better start using them before I have to throw away my make up again. So last night I slept 9 hours and then a 3 hour nap. That's when I know I am not 100% well. I will sleep and sleep. But then within a day or 2 I am feeling better. Sleep cures all that ails ya. Naps are usually a weekend thing, so it was a nice treat. THEN to top it all off, Steve and I got to have a quiet dinner just he and I. We went to The Cheesecake Factory. Expensive little place. We got a appetizer, shared a meal and a dessert for $40 bucks. Geez. But it was GOOD! Then we boogied on over to Momma's house to pick up Peyton. She had a great time, and I think my Mom enjoyed the company. She has been bored recovering all week. So I think it was a good thing for everybody. Thanks Mom!!! It was nice!

Got home and watched DreamGirls. We've do Netflicks and have had it sitting here waiting for us to watch for some time. It was good. Jennifer Hudson...awesome. And that Beyonce'...she is so pretty. I could have done without the cheezy break out in singing during a conversation type thing. But overall, good movie. I better get on Netflicks and move one of my movie pics to the top of the list. Steve got on it and put all these disgusting movies on there, so every so often we get these God awful movies. So I gotta get to it before him. ha

I was going to do an open house tomorrow, but I couldn't. The tenant said the house was too messy. Don't think I willl hold that one open. I am going to hold another one open probably Sunday. Have to coordinate with another somebody else to hold the other listing we have in the same neighborhood open. I think it would help to increase traffic.

So...really nothing planned this weekend other than what I mentioned above. I know Steve has a paper due Sunday so he has to work on that most of Sunday. We also have to get the fence panels put back up tomorrow. So hopefully we will think of at least one thing fun to do.

Auntie S....Braum's is a hamburger/ice cream shop here in the South. It's good.

Ya'll have a bright and sunny weekend! More tomorrow.

Huff..and Puff..and Blow your house down!

Holy Moly! It has been soo windy! From in my house I hear snap, crackle and pop from outside! Our fence...gone. Ok...only parts of it. 2 panels and snapped the 2 wood poles that hold them up right in half. Brian was kind enough to come over and help steve fix it so we wouldn't lose the rest of the fence. But the poles have to set in the cement, and its still going to be windy tomorrow, so we couldn't put the panels back on or they would put too much weight on them and make it set crooked. So our backyard is exposed to the street. We are on a corner, so it's the side where the street is. Makes me nervous and I can't leave the dogs out or they could dissapear. Steve said..."just let em out...Really...leave em out. They won't run. (wink, wink)
Meanie!

Not much else. Did a little work. Have I mentioned it is very slow. Goodness. Peyton and I went up to the office to do a few things, got paid for a lease I did! Woo-hoo. But the good news is this one Century 21 office around here who does property management give the Realtors that sell their leases a $25 gas card and a $20 chili's gift card! AND gives our manager a $25 gift card, which makes her very, very happy! And me too. Plus, this is the second one I have done through them, so I got a $25 gas card that I still have. Between the 2 of them, I might get a half a tank. ha Hate leases, but whatever...it's a fact of life, it's pretty quick money..and hey...a little money is better than no money!

Andi took some cute little pics of the girls today. I will have to post some later. Go to her website to see some of them. I have to go to bed, I am about to fall asleep on my keyboard.
More tomorrow!

Come on already!

Why won't this thing download the video I have been trying to get on this blog for 3 days now. It's making me mad! Any of you bloggers know how to tell these blog folk that their video downloads aren't working??? Complain, would ya. ha Urrgg.

I think we may be eating subs by weeks end! I am hoping. Andi...get on it. A taste of Atlantic City. A must have and very soon.

Today Peyton went to her Nana's house to swim. She apparently had fun, and wore herself out. Steve said she fell asleep in the truck on the way home, and then again later in the car when we came home from Sam's (yes again). But I couldn't get her to go to sleep. I had her in bed by 9:20, and she knocked on her door, which scared the crap out of me, at 9:45 saying the hat on her doll fell off. She obsesses about having the hat on this baby doll. I knew it was going to be an issue when I let her sleep with the baby. So I had to explain to her that it's not safe for the baby to sleep with the hat on. She didn't like that. So I gave her the choice of the baby sleeping with me or sleeping with her with no hat. She chose for me to take her to bed with me. She started crying again. I asked her if she was feeling ok, and she said no. I asked where it hurt and she pointed to her head. which I kind of had a feeling earlier that her head hurt just by how she was acting. I gave her Motrin and put her back to bed. Then she cried when I shut her door. She turned on the light, I went in and turned it off. She turned it off again after I left and I went and turned it off. She cried and cried. Its now 10:40 at this point. I went and got her and let her come sit with me on my chair and lay down. I asked her why she thought her head hurt. She said from the big jump in the pool. I asked her if she hit her head on something, and she said no. I said just from hitting the water too hard and she said yes. She may have just gotten over zealous on jumping and did it too much and it gave her a headache. I tried to get her to let me put drops in her ear to get the water out, and she FREAKED out! Wasn't gonna happen. I even pretended to do it to my ears and that didn't work. So she sat with me for a little bit, and told her it was time for bed and no lights on because lights hurt our eyes if we have it on while we sleep. Anyway...so 2 hours later she is asleep. shewww.

Really not much going on today. Things have been slow. I have been trying to make things happen, but not working too well. Work em and see how it turns out. All I can do.

EWWWWW...I am watching a Braum's commercial and they now have something called a frank burger. Basically 2 split in half hot dogs with chilie and cheese on them served on a bun. Or get them with mustard, katsup, onion and pickle.....YUCK-O-Rama! Desperate for something new I guess.

Ok....maybe life will be more entertaining tomorrow. We shall see. Night

Last couple of days..

K...couldn't get my video to download again today. There's something wrong with the blog, cause another blogger friend had trouble with one too. Hopefully they will get it fixed soon. I have a funny one!

K...yesterday...not much. Took lunch to Andi's, hung out with Addy and let Ash and Peyton play for a while, came home and did some work. Kind of a unproductive day.

Today, Andi brought Ash here and I took her for the afternoon. The kiddos and I went to Sam's Warehouse and picked up a few things. I got them some ice cream and came home for a "nap". Well, no napping was going on. I let them nap in Peyton's room together, so there was a lot of giggling and playing. I knew they wouldn't, and really since it was so late in the afternoon I didn't really care if they napped. I really just wanted them to rest and get out of my hair! ha Individually...Ash can talk your ear off....and Peyton can talk your ear off. Put the 2 together it's a non-stop chat-fest. Oh my gosh! If they aren't talking, they are screaming, lauging, growling...which is a new one. But these poor girls are bored to death having moms that work from home. When we get on the phone they have to be quiet. When we are deep in thought they have to be ignored. So we try to get them together as much as we can so they have a playmate. We really need to find some activities for them to partake in this summer. I have run into walls with that so far because Peyton is too young for most everything, or the classes are full. So we will figure something out.

Tomorrow Peyton goes to Nana's house. I am sure she will let her go swimming. So she will have a good time. I have a showing and floor duty in the afternoon. So I will be busy.

Steve has been in a "Green Belt Training" and will be all week. Something they do up there at Bell to teach how to "lean" up your department and such. I don't know. I just know I can't get him on the phone. Moreso than usual. Bummer.

It has been quite hot here. 99 degrees today. It will cool off a few degrees in the next few days. It really isn't that bad, because it has been windy too. So the breeze helps.

RC told me that her fellow p.e. teacher at her school got another job at another school. SOOO that leaves open a p.e. teacher job at the school she is a p.e. aide at. Let's all hope she gets it. It is literally like a $30k a year raise. That would be great with them having a kid entering college. next year. Carol, I told my sister you were looking for a p.e. aide job, so I am putting in a good word for you. Ms. Carol would do great at that job. She is athletic and loves kids and doesn't put up with their crap. Plus I think RC and Ms. Carol would get along great. Which those jobs are work very closely together, so it helps alot to have a coworker you like and trust.

So...what else. The animal blog will have to be posted another time. I can't bring myself to type all of that again. Here are their pictures. Chloe, (small dog) is 16, hair falling out, teeth falling out, losing control of her bodily functions, and has about 50 mini seizures a day that the dr. has no idea why. Murray..(big dog) is a scardy cat. He is scared of his water bowl, storms, rain, wind. He is loving and huge. About 100 pounds. We have had him for about 5 years but we don't know how old. Probably about 8 or 9. He doesn't care if peyton crawls all over him, and is a glutten for love. Always wants to have attention. Loves all people and animals. People are a little frightened of him, but really all they should be worried about is him licking them to death. ha Then there's Milo the cat. He is about 10 years old. Found him in the ditch behind my dad's house. He has a bent tail. he is the skinnyest cat ever but eats like a pig. He is a male and likes to pee on stuff even though he has been fixed. Annoying. We have found what tends to trigger it and can control it for the most part. Found some mirical cleaner called Natures Miricle. Wonderful stuff for any animal pee. He's a pain in our butt but we love him too. Really they are all a pain in our butt....they are here till death to us part. If Steve had his say, the cat, for sure would have been put to the curb a long time ago. That's the short version.

Enjoy and talk tomorrow!

Ain't it funny

When we were kids we DROVE to Atlantic City, NJ every single summer. That's where all 3 of us kids were born, for those who don't know. We would all pack up in the station wagon, and then minivan for 3 days of joyous togetherness. Let me describe. Imagine...3 girls, 2 dogs, and 2 adults packed for 3 days in a car driving across the country. Ohhh...the stories. The dog pooping all over Andi..the wonderful odor that lingered in the car from 3 days of 5 people and 2 dogs breathing thes same stale air. We didn't stay in hotels. We drove day and night. When the parents needed to sleep, we stopped at a rest stop to sleep. I don't recall sleeping much at all at those rest stops. Scared the crap out of me. All our luggage piled on top of the car covered in the same tarps that we used every year bungied to the roof. You get the mental picture. I loved the CB radio though. "Breaker 1-9 for a radio check". "Watch for the smoky hangin' at mile marker 498"...etc. I was always the kid that sat up in the middle of the backseat asking a million questions in the middle of the night. Watching my Dad drive..seeing where we're heading, and how it's all done. I hated those road trips. I hated going to Atlantic City every summer away from my friends for 3 weeks. I hated when our parents would leave us at Mom-Mom's while they went out doing God knows what with their friends. I hated that Mom Mom's house didn't have Air Conditioning. She had window units in the dining area and in the master bedroom. There was one bathroom at Mom-Mom's, and you had to go through the Master to get to it. We had go through there in the middle of the night to pee and see my dad sprawled out in the bed with tons of covers on in his Air conditioned room. While me and my sister had to share a bed in a god awful hot room., with the window open listening to the crazy Atlantic city nuts yelling, and the fire trucks blaring their sirens. (she lived across the street from a fire station). She finally moved to a nicer place with AC. Us girls still had to share a room though. ha

But now that I'm older, and have to pay my own way on vacations, don't have Grandma's house to go to anymore....as much as I hated it...God I wish I could still go every summer. I really do love Atlantic City. The boardwalk, the beach, the casinos, the FOOD, Ocean City where all the rides are, and just the smell of the sea air. I wish we could just afford to go on a whim and stay as long as I wished during the summer. It was so great this past summer to take Peyton there for the first time. Last time I went before that was when I was 4 months pregnant. I got to see her ride on the same rides that we rode, that RC's kids rode, that Ashleigh rode and got to ride again with Peyton. To see her at the beach that I always went to, to let her experience the ocean as I did as a kid. To see her get excited when the ice cream man came by on the beach. Loved it! Wish we could go this year. It is soooo expensive to go. The flight, the hotels are ridiculous, the rental car, the spending money, etc. A couple of grand is dropped in a weeks time. Uncle Richard and Aunt Sharon are going in Aug. We haven't gotten to see them in probably 4 years. Since I was there when I was pregnant. They used to live in Margate, which is just outside of AC. They moved away to N. Carolina. We miss seeing them. They are a hoot.

But, unfortunately, doesn't look good for a summer vacation to Atlantic City this year and probably next year. We want to go to Hawaii with the Harris' next June. So we are trying to start saving for that. And I have a Century 21 convention in San Antonio this winter that we all at our offices are going to go to since it's so close this year. But heck, they want 500 bucks just to attend. So gotta save for that. So the funds are just not there. Plus, just the every day headaches. I need to win the lotto! Guess you have to play first, huh.

Hopefully we'll get to go back soon! Damn..I think a order of subs from Atlantic City is going to be in order VERY soon!

Saturday!

Weekends are always lovely. Yes, I have to work a lot of them, BUT one less chore is finding somewhere for Peyton to go and usually get at least one day where I don't have to do the dressing. Steve got a dose of my reality today when he got her dressed. The girl will only wear dresses now. Nothing else will do. And if you try, like Steve did to

day, she freaks out on ya. He put on a skort and shirt and not the red polkadot dress that she wanted. A few butt bustin's and a lot of tears, she finally put on the skort. This is a battle I fight every day, and I am glad to say, I wasn't here to witness it. But when I got home, she was still pouting. I do have to do her hair every day. Steve, God love em, can't do the girls hair if his life depended on it. If it's a headband, he can do it. That's it though.

Yes, Auntie S. He really does need Sunday off. Unfortunately he has to take a test. He's usually in there taking tests for 3 hours! Ridiculous. I think he will be on top of the world when this class is over. I will be too.

Had some showings today. Went well. I hoping they go with one of them. ha Wouldn't that be nice. But I have a feeling they want to keep looking. I am motivated to make more money. I didn't think this showing was going to occur today, so I was on the horn trying to make something happen and make it a productive day. It kinda turned out productive. I think I am going to hold one of my listings open tomorrow and just see if I can get anything out of it. It's in my neighborhood so it's not like I have to go far. ha

Peyton, Peyton. The thing that cracks me up about her lately is she makes up words. If she doesn't know what something is, she makes one up. I wish I could remember them, but they are so off the wall, I forget it. But like I asked Steve the other day, "Really, why isn't that word. I mean..why not". ha Maybe she can make up her own language. She also cracks me up with her conversations. I like to just have her come up on my lap and talk to me. I start asking a question and she will go off on a tangent. (sp?) I'll ask, "What is your favorite thing in our castle". (which is what she calls our house because she is cinderella and all.) She looks around and says, "my bed". I say, "Really, why"...."Because it's a big girl bed. Because it's pink. Because the kitty isn't aloud in my room. Chloe isn't allowed in there either. Because Chloe pooped in my room. Because Daddy picked it up. Because...where is my kitty. Because he's sleeping. Because he's tired. Because he's over there. Because I like my bed the most. SOOO FUNNY. I am going to record it one day so you can see what I mean. But that recreation right there is pretty accurate. hehe

Today's events consisted of....showings, steve studying, steve has a sore throat, lunch, more work, nap, Black Eyed Pea for dinner (YUMMY), trying to figure out a way to save money while we are spending $30 for dinner, then to RC and Kev's house and played poker for a little bit. That's it. Uneventful. So until tomorrow!
