Steve's home YEAH

So, I hope everybody is enjoying their weekend. I haven't gotten to enjoy it much so far.

Steve did come home! And he was happy to be home! I joked with him before he left that he probably isn't going to want to come back. A week of freedom. No wifeepoo bitchin' at him, no kid screaming in his ear, bed to himself, watch whatever he wants on tv, free food....come on...why would he! ha Nah..he was happy to see us and we were thrilled to see him. He brought Peyton home a little pink teddy bear that says "Ohio" on it. Cute. It's even cuter to hear Peyton say "Ohio". Nana tought her how to say it, so she says it like Nana. With a very southern accent. Too funny. After picking up Steve, we all went out to the Olive Garden and ate some dinner while the traffic died down a bit.

Today, Steve relaxed and hung out with Peyton. I had a showing this morning until about lunchtime. Then we had to change some plans around because I had some folks call in wanting to look at Lakefront property. $600k. Yeah...changin' plans for that! That's finally some possible good cash. So I was able to get in a little nap until I had to meet them to show. And Steve must really have been tired. He napped too! He NEVER naps..unless it's on the recliner for a 10 minute nap. But he actually got in bed and napped. I was shocked. Probably a good thing we had to change our plans around, because if he was that tired I don't think he would have made it. So then went and did my showings. That went well. It seems like some very interested waterfront buyers...fingers crossed on that one! I NEED A REALLY GOOD ONE! After I got back from that, we headed out to Jobo's for dinner (hamburger joint), and to Wal Mart for some grocery shopping. Fun Sat. night, huh. ha

This has been a ridiculously busy week. But I got some good business out of it. I have a $90k buyer, a $105k buyer, $600k buyer, a lease, and lookin' like I am going to get my short sale to close in the next month. That one has been NUTTS! So busy to say the least. Which is good, but makes for some crazy days.

I am taking most of the day off tomorrow. I have to meet up with somebody to give them a key, but other than that..that's all I am planning on. Then going to a friends house.

Everybody...meaning the sisters...are all camping. I am not a camper. Steve not so much either. So instead I got stuck watching Andi's dogs. goodness. They are nutty dogs. They don't sit still much. If I even get up out of the chair, all 4 dogs are up my butt.

Anyway...kinda boring stuff. Have a good weekend.

Wicked Wednesday

What a day! Poor Peyton. She is coughing her little head off. She has been stuffy the last couple of days and yesterday, not really feeling good. Today she acted ok, but is very stuffy and started the coughing. She's trying to go to sleep in there, but is having a tough time. She went to Nana's today. But no swimming for her today.

It really was a very busy day. The phone rang off of the hook all morning, I took a last minute showing at 1pm. And I hadn't even showered yet. Got Peyton dressed, got showered, got her over to Nana's and made my 1pm appt. But then they decided they wanted to visit a builder's model home that I told them about. K...I had to be at AAdvanced at 2. But once these people walk into a builder without a Realtor, the builder won't pay the commission. So I was just going to call and let them know to expect them, but I decided i would just run over there and let them know and gather some info. Ok. did just that, and while I was talking to the guy, they showed up. Glad I went. I wouldn't have had time to dig up the number and call before they got there. So now if they decide to build, I should get the commission. If they decide to do it. But they were nice and seemed to like me, so I should be working with them on whatever they buy.

Still dealing with my short sale offer for a client, my mother's lease which has been a headache for both them and I, another lease that came in today, a lease for our 4th st. 8plex that I wrote up a lease for but they haven't returned it, a contract for ANOTHER short sale that I wrote up last week. He is from Cosovo and doesn't speak the greatest English, and is just not understanding what a short sale is and why it will take a while for it to get done. He even had to initial a nice long form that explained a short sale and what all it entails. uggh. So just lots of phone calls and emails today. Headaches and problems to deal with. Made it to AAdvanced at 2:15. Worked till 5. Went back to Nana's and got Peyton but decided to just eat dinner there. So got home about 7:15. I am tired. I am ready for Steve to get home.

Yes...I managed the trash. But the trash cans are still at the street. LOL I haven't had time to go get them. Then by the time I remember I am already in my pj's. I will get them in the morning. ha

Steve seems to be doing well. He isn't enjoying sitting in classes for 10 hours a day. But he enjoys the food and the free evenings in peace. He will be glad to get home though.

So I'm hoping for a little more calm tomorrow. Really!
So until then....

Good job to all the kiddos

I am proud of all the kiddos who started their first day of school today! Ashleigh, Sydney, Brittany and Jaydon. All did great, from what I understand. The Mom's of the new kindergarden students...well...did great too. With a few tears mixed in. So exciting.

Peyton starts her 3 year old pre k on Tues. of next week. She is excited to go. I am excited for her to go and get back in the mix with her friends.

So..really not much today. Haven't started working on my video yet, as I mentioned in yesterdays blog. I have to work on my continuing education classes that have to be completed by the end of Oct. which is going to take me every bit that long to finish. Uggh. Doing them online and it's a lot of reading again. But, more convenient. Writing up a lease...YES...another one. But it's something. Peyton is happily in bed, and I am heading that direction.

I had to take the trash out all by myself tonight! I don't do trash. Well...I didn't do trash. That's Steve's job. But no Steve...Ally does trash. Not so bad. We have those big ol' city of fort worth trash cans that I have to manuever up and down our driveway..so not easy.

Other than that...worked all day. Went to Mom and Jim's for dinner after I picked up Peyton, got gas and hung out w/ peyton while working on the computer.

More tomorrow. Night

Busy Sunday

Well...my husband did it..he left us! He went off to Ohio. It was hard for him to leave us. He was visably sad. I was too. Peyton was too. She recovered quick though.
So we got up at 7:30 to be at the airport by 9ish. Dropped off Steve. Peyton and I stopped at my Dad's to pick up our subs from Atlantic City! YUMMY! Thanks Pops! From there had to stop back at home because I forgot some stuff for us to take to Burger's lake. Then off to the lake. We met up with The Harris', Carrie and Sherry, tyler and one of his friends, Brittany and Justin...whom have been renamed by me...high school musical 2. the wedding we went to the other night, their names are Brittany and Justin too, so we were getting the 2 "couples" confused when talking about them both today. Justin is Brittany Harris's friend. But they sure are spending a lot of time together.

So we spend all day out there. Got home about 4:30 . Came home and got Peyton in the bathtub, got myself in the shower, cleaned up a little, and finally sat down. ahhh. I am pooped. Nana and Papa are letting Peyton spend the night there tonight. She was happy to go. They even took her bike with them. Peyton was talking about it today that she wanted to take it to Nana and Papa's house and ride it there tonight or tomorrow. So she asked, and of course Peyton gets. That girl has endless energy. I could tell she was tired though, becuase she was couldn't stop moving and talking. That's usually the sign. Cause if she does stop, she will go to sleep.

So here I sit all by my lonesome. Really weird. No steve no Peyton. I ate my sub for dinner, made some brownies...watched "My big fat greek wedding" and switched back and forth to the Olympics closing ceremonies. Oh, and of course big brother. I am really tired and fixing to hit the hey myself. Didn't sleep much last night, and had a VERY long day. Tomorrow looks to be a busy day as well, so a good nights sleep is in order.

More tomorrow folks. I am going to work on a video in remembrance of summer '08. I have lots of good pics I can use, that's for sure.

To all you students...have a great first day of school! I can't wait to hear about Ashleigh's first day of school. And Sydney's too. Syd doesn't have any problem making friends, so I am not too worried about her. Ashleigh has had a history of flipping out on the first day of school, so fingers are crossed for a smooth transition.
Night all!

Weekend is here

It's been a long week. But it's over. Now I just have to get through the weekend. Yesterday was a busy day. Had to meet a client at the office in the AM, then some paperwork, met mom for lunch to get checks, drop off keys and of course so she could see ALL of her grandkids. Me and Andi loaded up Peyton, Ashleigh, Addy, Sydney and Brittany (brittany was the most difficult..haha) and headed out. I told Andi when we were walking in that I felt like we were a day care out on a field trip! ha Mom enjoyed it, and so did the girls. Then floor duty in which I had to show that darned 4th street apt. I am sick of driving down there. But this is the last of the 3 that came available one right after another..so thank goodness for that. Back to the office to finish up some paperwork. Got home and immediately had to leave for meet the teacher night at Ashliegh, Sydney and RC's school. That was CRAZY. There was a line a mile long to get in the building. But I'm glad I got to go see where Ash will be and see that she will be ok. She enjoyed going and meeting her teacher and seeing where she will sit and such. It is going to be interesting to see how Ash handles RC working as the Pe teacher there and understand it's not Aunt/niece time. ya know. But it will be fine.

Today Peyton, Ash and Syd got to spend it with my Mom. That was cool. Thanks Mom. I haven't calle you yet to tell you thanks for taking them. They probably wore my mom out. She took them to lunch and then to a train they have at Trinity Park. Peyton enjoyed it a lot. I worked at AAdvanced. Then we all got home and left for Justin and and Britany's wedding. Justin is Kevin and RC's nephew. He is 20 and has a 6 month or so old baby. I wish them luck and hope it will work out. They have had a rocky road thus far. Hopefully it will go smoother.

Tomorrow I am finally going to get my hair done. Andi, Peyton, Ash and I will go get our hair done. Girls each need to get their hair cut for school. Ash starts school Monday and Peyton the week after that.

Sunday Steve is LEAVING us! He has to go to Ohio for a week for work. He has never left us here alone. I think I left him for like a week when I went to Seattle to see my friend like 8 years ago. But really, I think that's all we have been apart for extended periods of time. I am going to miss him. ;( Peyton will too I am sure. I wonder if she will understand why Daddy isn't coming home from work at night. He will be home next Friday.

That's it. Ya'll have a nice weekend.

More vomit!

OMG! This child is just puking randomly. I don't know what is going on. She threw up Thurs. of last week. Was fine the next day. THEN she came in Tues. at 5am to tell me she is going to throw up again. I took her to the bathroom, but she didn't throw up. She wanted to lay in my bed with me, and immediately threw up. ON MY PILLOW! urrg Ok...Steve gets up and helps me change the sheets, put new sheets on. "Mommy, I need to throw up again." Run to the bathroom, and some made it in the toilet some on her shirt. Change her shirt and clean her up. I say, "Peyton sit on Mommy's bed and I am going to get the sheets in the washer and get your throw up bowl". I walk in the other room, and low and behold...she puked on my bed again! On the bed, on the floor as she tries to get to me...on her shirt, in her hair, on her legs...OMG! A mess! SOOO...change the sheets again...go give her a bath, brush the hair, change her clothes. A lot of laundry going on. ha Poor kid. So I got HER pillow, layed down a towel and let her lay in bed with me. Mind you none of these episodes contained any fever or anything. She acts fine afterwards. She has had itty bitty poops, and obviously tooted and obviously didn't know something came out with it. hehe Found that as I put her to bed tonight. Her belly is all jacked up. It happens again, goin' to the dr.

So that's my lovely Peyton story for the day. RC said it makes her laugh at how not busy my days are when I describe them on the blog. WHAT! Yes, some days...not so much. But a lot of days are busy. Like today. I even told her what I did....and she laughed and said "that's not work". huh! Hello....I had a 2 hr. meeting this morning, had to go by and pick up a key to take back to my office for another agent..I did stop at Andi's and eat lunch, but while I was there I had a buyer call and went and showed until 5:30. Then went to eat at RC's by 6:15 came home and had to write up an offer for the client I showed today. This took me a couple of hours, as I am still very slow at it. The addendums you have to put with offers is growing, so I have to remember them all, do the buyer's representation agreement, the offer and since it was a short sale, I had to email all the ammendments. It's a lot of paperwork. Real estate in general is just all paperwork. Susan...you can relate. Too much paperwork if you ask me. The biggest complainer by FAR is my mother about all the paper work. LOL Then her and the fax machine don't get along, so she had to complain everytime I asked her to fax something. So funny. My Mother is my most difficult client. hehe just kidding mom.

So busy day and tomorrow is looking like the same. Floor duty...and NO Andi and RC, I am not going to be able to do my "floor duty nap". That's where I sit in my chair dressed and ready, and if the phone rings I am ready to go. ha I have to meet this client at 9:30am at the office. I think I am just going to bring Peyton up there with me and give her some paper to draw on while I meet him. It shouldn't take long...he should have it all signed and just dropping it off. So it should be fine. I hope. Maybe Andi wouldn't mind if I brought her by for an hour or so. We'll see. She is going to Nana's in the afternoon, but I am supposed to meet my mom for lunch and she wants to see peyton, so I can't take her over there until after lunch. Ok...detailed enough for ya. ha

We had a "team" meeting today. We were talking about how we have to make real estate our "business" we have to treat it like one, and take the time to do what we need to do to drum up more business. We have to go to the office and work...etc. I told her...the reason I got in this business is to have the time with my daughter. To not put her in daycare. And while, yes...I agree to be able to get business, I need to do what it takes. With a 3 year old here, it's hard to stay on the phone all day, and to be on the computer all day because she wants my attention..which I don't blame her. Soooo...here is the debate again on the daycare. I flat told her...I can't afford to put her in daycare. I don't want to put her in daycare. I did not have a kid to throw them in daycare. I waited a long time for her, and I want to spend time with her. I have to do what I have to do to make time for work and for Peyton. I already have to drop her off at Nana's way more than I want to. I want to be successful at real estate, but I want to be there for my child as well. Ugghhh...the never ending balance issues. What to do! Bottom line is my daughter is more important than money. Now, she does start her mother's day out next month..so that is going to help. We'll just see. I can only do what I can do.

K...that was a long blog. Night!

Rainy Monday

Rain in August! YES! That means fall like tempatures. Lovin it. I am usually not a fan of the rain or cloudy days, but in the summer I pray for rain even just a cloud sometimes. It's supposed to be several days of this.

I didn't get to spend very much time with Peyton today for the first time in a while. ;( She went to Nana's house all day. I had floor duty from 9-1 and worked at AAdvanced from 2-5. She said she had a good time though, even though she couldn't swim. She painted and did a lot of dancing according to her.

So we are going to enroll Peyton in soccer for the fall season. The YMCA has soccer for 3 year olds. She watches a Dora The Explorer movie where they play soccer, and she said she wanted to do it. It will be good to get her some excerise. As much food as this kid can pack away, her only prayer for not being obese is the excerise. Then we are going to do the cheerleader lessons from Jessica. I think we are still on for that. I haven't heard lately. Let me know, Jess, what is good for you. We got her lenses in her glasses replaced last week, and I must say, I am a bit shocked at how much more "coke bottle" they are. The were pretty thick before, but I am thinking almost 2x's as thick this time. They told me it was a stronger prescription, but geez. I won't be taking her back to this eye place that did the glasses. They aren't very kid friendly and just not friendly period. I asked them to refit her glasses, and they said they already did it when they did the lenses. But if the kid isn't there for them to fit the glasses to her head, how can they fit them. Instead, they bent them in the middle and now they look goggle-like. uggh. Now I have to take them back to Eye Masters to get them refitted. That's where we got them the first time and they did a great job.

Dad is in Atlantic City. He is such a bragger. I happed to call right when he was pulling up to Mento's for ice cream. Oh man...good stuff. Italian water ice, chocolate soft serve w/ chocolate jimmies..(that's what they call "sprinkles" in the North)..ha So he's there for the week. I'm jealous. I wanted to go really bad. The cash flow won't allow. They got to see uncle Richard and Aunt Sharon though. So I'm glad about that. Plus Uncle Ron and that side of the family. It would have been nice to see Tammy, Joe and Marrissa.

Enjoy the pics. More from our week "staycation".

More "staycation" stuff

So Peyton is diving for diving sticks in the pool now! Unbelievable this kid. Seriously. She is a fish. She swims and swims. But I tell ya, it does wear her butt out. Ash went swimming too. She is so funny. Ash is a little behind in her swimming skills. Poor girl. She has been plagued with ear issues since like age 2. She had tubes put in her ears...she has always been very sensative about them. Doesn't like things too loud, doesn't like water in them. Then last year she busted her ear drum in the pool on July 4th and it has just now repaired itself. Her hearing is good though, that's the great news. So swimming was the least of her concerns. Even baths most kids will cover their eyes...she covers her ears. But she has made some good progress this summer. Next year, I am sure swimming lessons will be in order.

So after we did Fossil Rim on Wednesday. Thursday we decided to just go swimming at Nana's house. It's close. So swimming we did. After that we came home and rested a bit and showered. We then went to Black Eyed Pea for dinner. Peyton LOVES their meatloaf and apple sauce. She ate it quickly and immediately said her belly was full. Ok..pushed the plate away and she was done. Then started pushing in on her stomach with her hand and saying her belly hurt. So I took her to the bathroom. I figured she might need to poop or something. She sat there and sat there. She couldn't poop. She was doubled over crying that her tummy hurt. What do you do for the poor girl. So I told her to get up and walk around the bathroom a little and maybe that would help her need to poop. I don't know. So we washed her hands, she's crying and I was just trying to help her as best I could. Then she said she needed to throw up. So over to the potty...and sure enough she did. Weird. Then she said her tummy was all better. Cleaned her up and left. We were supposed to go to Putt Putt after dinner. We were in the parking lot of the restuarant wondering if we should go, "Peyton, do you feel ok? Peyton, does your tummy still hurt? Peyton do you feel like you want to go to Putt Putt or go home?" She kept saying she was fine and wanted to go to Putt Putt. Ok. So we thought we would try it. We get there, we are in the parking lot. Get the girls out of the car. And keep asking peyton.."are you sure you feel ok?" She said yes. But then a minute later, she said.."Mommy, I don't feel good and want to go home." So we had to tell the girls to get back in the car. Ashleigh was confused. She didn't understand why we had to go home. She was crying and upset. Poor girl. I tried to explain it to her that Peyton got sick and we will come back, I promise. And next time maybe Sydney and everybody else can come too.

Ash and Peyton got back in the car. Both very quiet. I ask Ash if she is ok, and she just answered, "yes" very shortly. Peyton was asleep by the time we got on the freeway. How weird is that! She didn't feel warm at all, but by the way she was acting in the car and the throwing up I thought for sure she was coming down with something. Got Ashleigh home and when Andi came out she cried again that she was mad at Peyton because they couldn't go to Putt Putt. Awww...poor girl. Andi explained it to her a little better than I, I guess, and she understood.

So after we got home, Peyton seemed fine. She layed down on the couch for a little bit, we put her to bed with a bowl specified for throw up. Ha She never did it again, and she was perfectly fine the next day. I guess she ate too fast? She really didn't eat any more than usual, so I don't think it was that. Or maybe it didn't agree with her. I don't know. But thank God that was the end of that!

So tonight...we were Putt Putt bound. This time Syd did get to come, with Auntie Rae, Uncle Kevin and ASHLEIGH! YEAH! We had a good time. Here are some pictures. When we got there we waited in the car for a bit for the Harris's and when we got out, Peyton said, "we are at Putt Putt", and I said, "yes, I told you we would come back." and she said, "so we get to go inside too!" Well Yes! hahaha Cause we only made it to the parking lot last time, and then we sat in the parking lot this time for about 5 minutes, so she probably thought that was the extent of the putt putt fun. hehe

Otherwise...yesterday we didn't do much. We were going to to go to the museum in Fort Worth, and I ended up being off of work. So we went to go there, even though I don't like going to museums. Then Peyton chimed in and said, "Daddy, I don't want to goto the museum" Not once, but several times! It was so funny. Steve said, "you girls..no culture..I swear." We need to have a little boy that steve can culturfy! hehe So we didn't go. Plus it was all under construction and didn't even know if it was open. We went and got Peyton's glasses prescription changed, came home and then went out to dinner with our friends. We ended up going out to their house. Steve and Brian played poker while the girls went out to do a little tax free shopping.

Then today we slept in since we got home late. I went out and did some more tax free shopping. I had a coupon so I went and got me some clothes. Went to the dollar store, Kid to Kid and picked up some cute, but pricy bows for Peyton and a couple for Addy. And to Catherine's. Got me some PJ's! Actually...I got 3 pair of pj's today. You have heard me complain about my pj's before. So I got some good deals and got some new ones! hehe Steve is probably happy not to see me walk around ripped up, 10 year old pj's.

That's it. Here are some pics from the past couple of days!

Fossil Rim day

Right out of Nana's hand
Peyton was none to happy about that deer?
coming into the car.

Ash was funny..she liked looking at the animals
just not too close.
"Hey..got anything in there for me?"
Peyton and Ash overlooking the pretty views

So we had a good time today. We left at about 10:45 and didn't get home until about 5:30. It was a long day, but a lot of fun. We saw a lot of deer, and does, elk, buck..and a lot of animals that looked like deer and buck, but were named something else. There were giraffs, zebra, cheetah, turkeys, rhino, buffalo..etc. A lot of them will stand by the road and wait for you to throw food to them. And there were a lot that would come right up to the car and want you to hand feed it to them. You buy a bag of feed that you feed the animals. They all seem to really enjoy that food. I wonder how much food they get a day. ha I think my favorite were the giraff and zebra. They said not to hand feed the zebra because they may bite. They didn't bite me. They stuck their head in the car so I gave it a shot, and they were very gentle. One of them just stood in the road and wouldn't move. They told us not to honk the horn. So we sat there and waited..and waited..moving the car up more and more, but he wouldn't budge. So I had to back up and go around him. Here he is in all his glory. ha

Yup. Just stood there. I wonder how long it took for him to finally move. ha

I had giraff slober on my door inside...one of the white buck lookin' animals got mad at younger white buck lookin' animal for coming close to us giving him food, so he jumped a little bit and smacked himself up against our car. No damage. ( I think)

The girls did good. Peyton couldn't really enjoy it from her booster seat, so she sat on Nana's lap in the front. Our windows in the backseat only roll down half way, so me and Ash hung out back there at first. She didn't want to get too close to the animals and didn't want them to be able to get too close to her. Peyton really didn't like when they stuck their heads in the car. And neither girl would let the animals eat out of their hands. They would both throw it out though. We just let Ash move around the whole backseat from one side to the other, and I sat in the middle. So sometimes she sat between my legs in the middle of the back seat so she could see all that was ahead of us. I think she liked that freedom. She sure took full advantage of it. ha

Peyton was fine on Nana's lap. I'm not so sure about Nana though. ha Peyton got freaked out a little at one animal that stuck his head in the car that she was digging her heals into nana's legs trying to get away from it. She'll probably be bruised tomorrow. Steve drove the first half and I drove the 2nd. It took us like 4 hours to get through the whole thing, including stopping at the half way point to eat some lunch. It is about an hour and 15 min. drive there and the same coming home. So a lot of car riding, and a lot of 2 chatty girls in each ear. Needless to say I had a headache pretty early on. Nana remembered the Alieve though.

It was nice to take the whole day off. I have email on my phone, so I answered a few emails, but that's about it. Mom has been trying to fax over her signed lease all day..she kept messing up which pages I needed her to send that didn't send the first time. Oh, momma...You are funny. Next time we agreed to meet half way and get the paperwork to each other! She was frustrated and I was wondering what the heck was going on. ha All good. Hopefully we have it all now.

Tomorrow..we were going to take Syd, Ash, Peyton to Burgers lake with RC, but RC bailed on me. She mentioned on her blog that I didn't take Sydney to Fossil Rim today. But if any of you have seen the 3 nieces in the backseat together, you wouldn't either. Let alone for the 6 or so hours we were in the car today. Andi keeps Peyton for me on Fridays, so I thought I would take Ash and get her out of her hair for the day. So anyway...whatever. Peyton gets left out too. I can't take all of them all of the time..and I know Andi and RC agree, its a lot to have all 3 of them at once for any extended period of time.

So tomorrow..I am not sure what we are going to do. We talked about Putt Putt, but it sure is going to be hot. We thought about a movie..but we can't agree on one, I thought about Turner Falls, but that's another long drive I don't want to do 2 days in a row. So we will figure something out. Something cheap. Today was kind of expensive, so we need to lay low the rest of the week.

Here are some more pics. More tomorrow.
Fun day!

I liked the giraffs

Those are some tall suckers

Not much

Still can't get my video to download. urrg

Today...meeting this morning, showed 5 houses, came home and did more work. Not much of a vacation day for me. But that's ok. Seemed like Steve really just wanted to lounge around, which is fine.

We went to Fudruckers for Anna's Birthday. Happy Birthday Anna. Fudruckers is always good. Ashleigh is spending the night. We shall see how they do together in Peyton's bed. I try to get them in bed early, because they spend hours giggling and goofing off. So We will have to see. Last time I think I had to seperate them, but the time before that they went to bed pretty early.

Nana and Papa stopped by to see us today. Peyton was happy they stopped by, and didn't want them to leave. Otherwise, really...an uneventful day.

Tomorrow we go to the Fossil Rim drive through big animal park thing. Probably go by and see the dinasour tracks too. Should be a fun day.

Ya'll have a good one.

The cute little cheerleading outfit w/pom poms.
Notice the belly pooch. ha

Some pics from today. She LOVES that cheerleader outfit. She comes running in naked..."Mommy, where is my cheerleader outfit". I have to really work at it to get that skort on her. She needed to go to the bathroom and couldn't get them on and off herself. It's pretty tight. But she doesn't care. So as long as I can keep getting that on her, I will do it for her. ha

So, I really am trying to take as much of the week off as I can. I have a meeting in the morning. But after that I was going to come home and spend the rest with Peyton and Steve. Then Julie asked me to go and show some of Nicole's (my team member) folks some houses because she is out of town, she has a closing and Phil is unavailable. And I guess these people can't wait 24 hours for her to get home. I don't know what the deal is. But nonetheless, I am showing 5 houses tomorrow at 10:30. Which means I am probably going to have to skip out on my meeting early. Then Wed. I have a team meeting, and will attend that. But after that we are immediately leaving to go to Fossil Rim for the day. Then Thurs. I don't know yet, but we will think of something.

HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY, ASHLEIGH! I can't believe she is 5 already! Time flies. Kinda sucks though.

Not much else. I tried to download a video with no luck. I will try again tomorrow.

Olympics and more Olympics

So do you watch the Olympics. We have been pretty much all weekend. We enjoy MOST of it. We TIVO it so we only hvae to watch what we like. ha We are watching women's gymnastics that was on earlier tonight. Peyton watched it. She has never watched gymnastics. She was watching the floor exercise and was trying to do what they did. It was funny to watch.

Really didn't do much this weekeknd. Yesterday I showed the commercial property from the other day. Went well. I kind of have a feeling it isn't going to work for them though. Just a hunch, but we'll see. Then showed my client a HUD home. Sad deal. Newer home...like 3 years old. And it was pretty obvious that when the people moved out they had left some animals in the house alone. Every 6 inches in that house was urine. It stunk so bad. I can't believe people would do that. He is just going to wait out the short sale that we have the contract in on. Hopefully we can get something finalized this week. Let's hope. The other realtor that is the listing agent really isn't very good at staying on top of it.

Then we went to Ashleigh's birthday party. It was a good time. All the kids had a good time. Had some pizza and cake. We didn't get to watch Ash open her gifts because we ran out of time at the place, which kinda stunk. It really was a good time, it was just kind of rushed and I think maybe a little expensive. But Andi did a good job putting it together.

I was KIDDING people, about Aunt Andi not loving Peyton. Joke. Kidding. Playin'. Andi and I joke about it all the time because of the babysitting situation. But I really know it's because she is busy during the day. I KNOW. geez ha.

Whoever left the comment of of they were seeing if their comment went through and to let them know if it did...it did...but I don't know who it was. If you do an anonymous comment you need to put your name at the end of the comment so we know who ya are.

Last night...we were party animals and went to Wal mart to grocery shop. ha We had plans to go out with our friends, but she got sick and cancelled. So Wal Mart it was. woo-hoo. That's how desperate we were for food and drink in our house. Then just hung out at home and watched the Olympics. I was perfectly fine with it. It was a busy week.

Steve is on vacation. So we are trying to think of what all we want to do tomorrow. It is supposed to cool off a little tomorrow..like into the 90's..yes, that's cooler. So we might try putt putt or something with Peyton. Today I was on floor duty, but we ran up the street to Home Depot and Bed Bath and Beyond. And we had to go buy a drink and go straight home. It was sooo ridiculously hot. It was hot and humid, which is worse. I think the temp. in the truck said it was 102. I had to be dressed for work, so I had capri pants on and came home and immediatlely took them off. In that short time, the waiste area on the pants were wet. We hung out at home for a while. Then went on over to RC's house for dinner to have a goodbye dinner for little brian..brittany's boyfriend. He is a nice boy, and we all wish him luck at college. Brittany is going to miss him so. But they will be ok. Dinner was good. thanks RC. Now we are home watching more Olympics. ha

Andi is supposed to email me some pictures we took on her camera at the party. My camera died in the middle and I didn't get any good pics. I will post them as soon as she decided so email them to me. ha

Have a good week Peeps!

08-08-08

Neat date, ya think.

So, again, no pics. Lordy it has been busy around here.

The pom poms that match Peyton's new, used cheerleader outfit arrived today! She was just SOO excited. RC put them in the backpack Meme bought Peyton for school. Very cute. Thanks,Mom.

So yesterday, Peyton and I went to our Pizza lunch. Dropped her off at Nana's house, where Aunt Ellen was there for the day. It was nice to see her. Jim's family are all very sweet. (Jim is Steve's step-dad..Papa...Dad to Steve) Had floor duty. Got nothing from it. Wrote up the lease for my Mom's house. To clear up. Auntie S. asked this in a comment. This house is a house they bought as an investment and has been leasing it out. This is not their primary residence. So anyway, it's all but leased. I will be glad when I can take it off of the market. I get phone calls constantly about the lease. Too bad the sale of it didn't come across as so popular.

Went to AAdvanced to work today. Andi brought the kids up to eat lunch with me. That was a nice treat. Good thing too. Because I didn't bring my lunch, so I would have starved up there. Not much to go and get around there either. Then after work, I had to go show this lease we have near downtown Ft. worth. Showed it at 5:30 and again at 5:45. Killed 2 birds with one trip. ha Got a lease application out of it though. Looks like I will lease that too. I am, afterall, the lease FREAKIN queen. urrg.

Gotta start over with my other client that we have a offer in on a short sale. He has run into a pickle and needs to have a permanent address ASAP as he is having custody issues. So I am going to show him a HUD home tomorrow. Which is fine with me, because the short sale house only pays me 2.5% while HUD pays 5%. Heck yeah..I'll work a little harder for double the commission. ha

Tomorrow I have a showing at 9 am in Bedford. The commercial property that caused my Tuesday to be a complete bummer because I didn't have my supra key. Yes, that one. They did call back and wanted to see it at that time on a Saturday. Not happy about having to get up early on a Sat. but have to being it was my fault they couldnt' see it the first time. Then after that I have to show my other client the HUD home. Then we get to go to Ashleigh's birthday. Should be fun to watch those kids...and the adults. There is apparently a lot to do there. Peyton will really enjoy it, I know. Then I am hoping for the rest of the day off.

Sunday night, to RC's house for little Brian's going away dinner. (brittany's boyfriend). Tues. night Anna's b-day dinner in Bedford. Steve is not too happy with me because he is on vacation next week, and I pretty much have something going on the rest of the days of the week. Meetings, showings, working at AAdvanced...etc. But, hey, like I told him. He isn't going to want to spend every waking hour with me anyway. He will get sick of me real quick.

Peyton had a nice day at Andi's house. She loves going there to play. Too bad Andi doesn't love her being there as much as she likes going. ha Auntie Andi doesn't like me "dumping my kid" at her house. LOL Kind of an inside joke between me and Andi. Yes, Peyton...that's what your Auntie said. I'm sorry. I am sure she loves you though. She just doesn't love you THAT much. hehehe I know, Andi is steaming reading this..so it makes me laugh that much more. Just kidding Peyton...andi loves you...from afar. LOL Ok...I'll stop.

Oh gosh...that cracked me up just writing it.

K...busy weekend...so see ya'lls later.

no pics again!

I just haven't taken any pictures or videos lately. I don't know what my deal is. My camera has to be handy at all times, or pictures don't get taken. And currently it's not. So I need to change that so I can take pictures.

Comments people! Where are they. Talk to me. Give me reaction. A thought.

Today...uneventful...which is just fine with me after yesterday's fun (not). Worked at AAdvanced. I had to have Peyton to Andi's by 9am so RC could take them all to Dad's house for the day. Came home and cooked dinner. That's about it. Nice. Watched a little TV. Steve baked us a cake with homeade icing. The cake was good..the icing was...well...not bad. Good job for his first try.

Peyton obviously had a good time at Pop Pop's house. They went swimming for a couple of hours. Dad said she must have goten in and out to jump in 100 times. She must have wore herself out because she was tired tonight. She was sensative, and talkative, which is a sign on sleepyness.

I am so excited. Jessica, Andi and my friend, and fellow office chick at AAdvanced, has offered to give Peyton private cheerleading lessons. She used to be a cheerleader and tought cheer to children in groups and privately. We are going to do a day a week or so in the evening. Peyton will love it, I am sure!!! And Jessica has offered to do this free of charge. Isn't that nice of her!! That is awesome! Thanks, Jess! This will give us a good idea if there is really true interest there for her, and if so...I will move her along with it. Jess recommended getting her into a gymnastics class or tumbling at first to learn flexibility and dicipline. Good idea. Anyway, I am just thrilled for her to have her first lesson.

OHHHH...I forgot to blog about this. K...so Saturday Andi and I were out and about...lunch with Mom and some errands. We were going back to her house, and I was driving her car because she ran into Wal mart, so I got in the drivers seat and drove around until she came out so we didn't have to unload all the kids. Anyway...off the subject there. ha So driving back, there is a road by Andi's house that the speed limit is 20 mph. I was going like 25, and Andi's radar detector started beeping a little bit. She said to slow down, because that's a real alarm. So I did. Kept my speed at 20 right on the money. I see a car behind me getting irritated by my slowness. She can just deal with it, I'm not getting the ticket. So she passes me on the right all mad and speeds in front of me....hehehe...there's the cop!!! Ready to bust her. hehehe Sure enough he pulled out and waited for her to make her turn so he could get behind her. I needed to turn on the street before that one, but I had to go by and laugh at her and watch her get pulled over. LOL We drove by and waved at her. I couldn't help myself. I know it has happened to all of us that we say, "Where is the cops when you want them". There he was! Finally, sweet revenge on angry passers. Really, it made my day. Bad, Iknow. But still...I have to say..I enjoyed myself. I wanted to go back and make sure the cop knew she passed me illegally on the right going a good 10 miles over the speed limit. haha But I refrained.

Ok...must get ready for bed. I actually get to sleep in tomorrow. Floor duty at 1pm. I am going to take Peyton to our Pizza place that we like to eat at together as some Mommy and me time. She is, afterall, my pizza buddy.

Ya'll have a good Thursday!

not the best of days..

So I planned on not working today and spending it with Peyton. Well, most of the day I got to spend with Peyton. But work is inevidable (sp?) I was asked to go show our commercial listing in Bedford at 10am. It's a $250k listing, so yes..I HAVE to do it. Since it was just down the road from my Mother, and she has been wanting to spend some time with Peyton, I took her over there for an hour or so while I "showed." I put "Show" in quotation marks because I couldn't actually show it. I get up early...get to my Mom's...go to show the listing...can't get in. Showing service says its on a combo lock...had the combo. It's my team's listing. We always use combo boxes....never thought a thing about it. No...it's on a Supra box. Which to those who don't habla (as andi says), is a lockbox that requires an electronic key that communicates with the box and releases the key to the property. Well....because I was told it is on a combo lock, I didn't bring my supra Key. I called everybody I know of this side of town to see if they could rescue me. Nobody answered the phone. Our Colleyville office was in a meeting and nobody would answer their phone. I called a friend that is a real estate agent, and no answer. I was screwed. It was 3 men that wanted to convert the property into a small church. They were very nice about it. They were very nice. They were walking around the property and said they really have enough to talk about. And felt like it would work for them. We will be making another appointment this week. Embarassing, frustrating and not how I wanted to start my day. Not totally my fault...but lesson learned....always bring the supra key even if it says it's on a combo lock. uggh
So, hopefully I can turn that experience into a positive by selling it.

Then my Mother's house is driving me crazy! All kind of kinks in the relisting of her rental property. We relisted for sale and listed it for lease as well. The showing service didn't have all the accurate information. There was a phone number transposed on the instructions to contact the tenant for showings, and nobody could get a hold of him. Me neither. I even stopped by there today, and nobody was home. So I got it all worked out. Good news is looks like I hav a taker on the lease. Bad news is...I think I have a taker on the house. I am glad that we are going to get somebody in there to keep paying my mother's mortgage payment, I am just not happy that it is leasing vs selling it. But, maybe next year will be a different story as far as the market goes, and will sell next go 'round. Plus, this tenant is talking about possibly wanting to purchase it. But then again, that's what the last tenant said, and we all see how that worked out. Whatever...goin' with the flow.

Just a lot of little problems arising today that irritate and frustrate me. Like finally going to get Peyton's prescription changed in her glasses, and the technition that does that has Tuesdays off. Yes...he is there every other day of the week, except the one day I show up. Peyton was in rare form today, which added to my frustrations. I tried to keep it cool today. After the eye dr. rejection we went over to Target to get Ashleigh a b-day gift and a Kindergarten Care Package. Peyton was in the cart..."Mommy, let's go back to the toys, Mommy go that way..Mommy the toys are over ther..Mommy I want that..." Uggh. I told her I would take her for ice cream but she insisted she wanted candy at the check out. Which I always let her pick out one candy at the check out if she has been good while grocery shopping. So I went for ice cream and she had candy. Came home, fixed some minor work problems, and we both layed down for a bit. I really have done everything I could to get back in a good mood after this morning's fiasco....I just really haven't been able to get out of the funk. Tomorrow, I know, is going to be GREAT! ha

That's it. Night.

Lazy Sunday

Well, it's pretty much too hot to do anything outside. Have to stay indoors. We broke a new heat record today of 107. Not the kind of records I want us to be breaking. uggh. So we have been hanging out in our 75 degree house.

I think, really though, Peyton has enjoyed hanging out at home today with her mom and dad. She has been nonstop using our bodies like jungle gyms..climbing on and off of us, making us meals in her play kitchen, watched a movie, played cheerleader. I went through some hand-me-downs and found Sydney's old cheerleader uniform from when she was 4 years old. Peyton stayed in that thing ALL day long. She was soooo excited when I showed her that. She immediately went and got her pom poms and did some cheers for us. She did her splits and stretches. She has a Bell Dancerella Cheerleader movie. It shows steps for cheerleading and how to stretch and stuff. She loves that show. It comes with a mat for her to place her feet in the right places and such. I looked into getting her into a cheerleading leauge. RC thinks the YMCA isn't doing it anymore. I couldn't find anything on their website. The Saginaw Youth Association already had sign ups, plus you have to be 5 years old to do it. RC told me that Upward, which is like a Christian league does cheerleading. I looked it up and they do. But they have to be 4. I am just going to call and see if they would still allow her to do it at 3 1/2. She doesn't look 3 or act 3. In fact, nobody would know she is only 3. I am willing to bet she is bigger than some of the 5 year olds. I hope she can. If not, I guess she will just have to wait until the Spring. Poor kid.

So the good news about staying at home all day, is that we didn't spend any money today. ha
We cleaned a bit, and then pretty much were pretty useless all day. In fact, none of us even got dressed. I think we all needed a day at home like this. Been a while since we have done that.

Steve is on vacation not this week but the next. So far we are planning on going to Fossil Rim, where you drive through the animal park and feed the big ol' animals and such. We are going to go to the circus that is in town. And possibly Burgers Lake. Burgers lake was closed due to some Crypto(*&*^...some bug that makes you nausiated and poopy and throwing up. Sounds fun huh. But it's been cleared and reopened. I figure it is the best time to go because it is probably being tested every day by the county. I don't know...we'll see. Other than that. I am not sure what else we are going to do. Gonna be a "staycation" of sorts. I am taking of AAdvanced that Wednesday, but will probably work that Friday and I have told my gang at Century 21 that I will be in and out of pocket. I dont' want to pass up any great leads, but I also want to go and do things without being bothered. So I will just cut it in half and work some but not the whole time.

Well. This week looks to be busy again. Maybe not as bad as last week though. Tomorrow, Floor duty from 9-1..Peyton to Nana's. Then dinner with friends for a b-day dinner. Tues. I don't have anything so far. I am going to make it a Mommy and Peyton day. Wed...AAdvanced, Thurs. Floor duty half of the day, and AAdvanced on Friday.

That's it in a nuttshell. All I got for today...Have a good week all.

104 degees

People! It's hot! 104 today, and it's going to be ucky hot for the next week at least. Uggh. Aug. in Texas...Weather man just said this weekend is going to be 106 tomorrow and 107 on Sunday! Good Lord. It will be ALL indoor activities this weekend. gotta love it.

My Aunt Vicky died today. She was, I believe, either 100 or 101 year old. Remarkable woman. She lived quite the life. She is the last of the "sisters" that was still living. The sisters I mean are my grandmother and her 4 sisters. There were 5 of them, and they were all nutts. In a good way of course. No matter how much they fought, they loved each other and would do anything for each other. Now they are all together again..probably arguing about what took Aunt Vicky so long to get there. ha God bless Aunt Vicky. God bless all the "sisters"!

Peyton went to Pop Pop's today with Ashleigh. They said they had a good time. They got to go swimming and play with all the other kids Anna watches. I worked at AAdvanced. Came homefor 10 minutes, Steve and I had to go to the dry cleaners and then off to Andi's to pick up Peyton. The Linders and us decided to go to Moni's. A local Italian joint here. Good eatin'. Yes...I invite the Harris' and they couldn't go because they were working up at the school for the band.

On the way home we drove by Brittany's high school, and Peyton said, "That's Brittany's school". That's right, it was. I told her, "Guess what, we get to watch the band again soon." She was very excited. She showed me how Brittany does her arms and did her feet like how they march. I asked her if she wanted to be in the band, and she said, "I can't..I'm not big enough." haha I said "When you get big do you want to be in the band?" She hesitated. So I said "do you want to be in the band or a cheerleader when you get bigger" She said, "OHHHH YESSS...a cheerleader!!! I want to be a cheerleader in the band."LOL I am going to look into the little leage cheerleading for her because she has always been interested in it, but poor girl...she certainly has not been blessed with the cheerleader type genes. None of us are flexible, and none of us can barely do a cartwheel. Maybe she will break the mold. ha

Tomorrow...Steve has to work. I have a showing at 11 and then lunch with my mom and sister. The lady I am showing have gotten to know each other pretty well....being she calls me at least 3 times a week to check on her sons contract. She wants to go look at the house her son is getting again so she can see what all he is going to need. So I am taking Peyton with me. I know...unprofessional. But really...I don't think I can do any wrong in this ladies eye. haha She loves me because I put up with her and all her questions, and don't tell her son that she calls me all the time. ha Nah..I asked her outright...I said I could do it tomorrow, but I would have to bring my daughter. She had no problem with it, in fact she said she looks forward to meeting her. She is very nice. I don't mind her and her phone calls. She is just a worried mother, even though her son is my age. ha

That's about it. I haven't taken any pictures lately. I need to though.
Ya'll have a GREAT weekend.
