Sex in the City

Ok...I didn't really watch the show when it was on. Some of us didn't have...heck didn't...STILL don't have HBO. But I catch the occassional rerun on tv, so I have the jest of it. Great movie. Loved it. It was over 2 hours, but flies by because it is entertaining. I would highly recommend it.

Went with Rae Carol and her friend, Susan, ,who was a big fan of Sex in the City. Susan is too funny. She is a real estate agent too, so I think we probably bored RC at dinner with our real estate talk. But it was nice to actually hear others stories and experiences. Had fun! Andi didn't go. Not surprised. Whatever. (there andi...doggin' ya on the blog again. ha)

Peyton and I had a good day. Hey, I got paid..finally, so that always makes for a good day. Had to tie up some loose ends with the closing, Peyton and I went to lunch again. That's the second time this week. We are lunch buddies. Then did some work at home, Peyton took like 3 hours to clean her playroom. Annoying. I have learned yelling and threats don't work. Its best to go in there and cheer her on, and even help a little. But ya know. I had work to do, so she was on her own. I threatened....took away the cinderella dress..nothing worked. Got Steve on the phone to tell her to get it done, and she came out and said, "ok, it's cleaned." I said, "Peyton, I don't think so. That was too fast. You better go check again, because if I go in there and it's not clean I am going to spank your butt for lying and not doing what you were told." She said, "yeah, I better check". She walked back there, she came right back and said, "yep. It's clean". So I get up and look and was SHOCKED to see that it was clean. wow. Kid can move fast when she wants to. Too funny.

That's about all we did for the day. Tomorrow I have some showings, I think. The mother of this client said 11am and to call the daughter...I left a message and never heard back. So I made the appointments and we'll see if she answers in the morning. ughhhh! Annoying!

Steve is behind me in the chair snoring. Why that boy tortures himself by staying up so late when he's obviously tired...beyond me.

Till tomorrow friends!

Holy Crap!

What a nutty, crazy LONG day! Wow! Started the morning getting Peyton to school. Oh crap...forgot I was supposed to get chips for their party. Ok. I'll pick em up later..I was saying outloud to myself. Got her off to school in her bikini. The girl can work a bikini. ha Had to go by my team leader's house to pick up a closing gift. Had a showing right after that. Had to hurry and get chips, flowers and a gift card for her teacher. Run back to her school so I can be there for splash day and her end of year party. We had a good time. So did she. I think the boys like her. When we went to leave, this little boy came up and hugged her goodbye. awww...I was fine until that. It made me cry. Her teacher made some awesome binders with pages full of the cute things they made throughout the year, and lots of pictures. She is going to email me more pictures she took of today, and I think some that she had from the whole year. Again...I have to brag about Ms. Carol! You are really awesome girl. We are going to miss you being there next year. Even though we won't be in your class, I am just used to being able to come by and say hello. Please keep in touch, Ms. Carol. I hope you find a job that will make you happy. Thanks for hanging in there for this year. I know it was just so you could be Peyton's teacher. hehe

So then, off to take Peyton to Andi's. Then guess....YES! MY FIRST CLOSING! IT HAPPENED! FINALLY! HA I am just relieved to get this first one under my belt. It all turned out great. I should get my fat check (not) tomorrow. Not going to be that great. I reduced my commission as a special thing to drum up some business....so whatever. It's a paycheck. That didn't last but a half an hour. Had to run to Watauga and get my lock box and sign stuff. Then home to take care of some phone calls, emails and all that fun daily stuff. Thought I was doing some showings for a team member, but we never got a hold of the guy! I do have some showings on Saturday...so, hopefully!

Steve brought me home flowers and a card as congratulations! He is so sweet. He said he would take me to dinner, but after finally sitting down and resting, I decided I would rather cook here. He made me hot dogs, mac and cheese. hehe Such the cook. It was actually my idea. BUT...he had to clean the mess too. LOVE IT! Bath time for Peyton, read 3 books, and she is finally off to bed.

My friend Erica, in Washington, got her real estate license too. She just got it a couple of weeks ago. Good luck to her. She will do good at it.
hehe...see my sign. There's only one left out there with my name on it. All signs now will say "Crimmins Team". So I wanted to get a picture of it. Mom isn't going to take the offer on her house. They would have lost too much money. Can't blame her, but would have liked to get that sold for her. We will keep trying.
Otherwise, that's about it. Thanks for your comments today! Love it. Remember people, you can just comment as anonymous. You don't have to have an account to comment. I will need to show Steve's mom how to. She called me having problems with it. No worries, momma....I will show you how.
Hey you guys...have a great Friday. We will. It is payday for Steve and MEEEE!!!! YIPPIE! Going to see Sex in the City Movie. So should be a good day. Night!

Yadda Yadda

Happy Wednesday, folks.
Not much to report today. Peyton and I went to lunch together and to the grocery store. She talked ALL day long! Really, ALL DAY! Auntie S...I think you are right. She just has a very busy mind. No nap. And really, no rest time either. I was trying to get some work done, and she was in and out. Kept telling her to go lay down, but she was back out within 5 mins.

Mom's surgery went well. She should be going home tomorrow. She is sore but in good spirits.
See Andi's blog for more info. on that.

Tomorrow is Peyton's last day of school. ;( Splash day and pizza party. We have my closing tentatively set for 1:30pm, so we shall see. There is still a possibility it will have to be extended to Friday. I still have to get teacher gifts, stop by team leader's house to get a closing gift, go by listing to pick up my lock box and sign stuff, and have MANY phone calls to make to other clients. It is going to be a juggle. I enjoy going to her splash day, so I want to make sure I am there for that. Then I will take her to Andi's for the remainder of the afternoon while I do the closing. Gonna be a busy day.

Mom and John may take the latest counter-offer on their house. They are considering it. Just not the market it used to be. People can't expect to make much of a profit on their house, unfortunately. But, it will get them out from under it, and let them cash out and move on. So we'll see.

I get a lot of "hits" on my blog. I would say average of 20 a day. Who is reading it? Nobody really mentions to me that they read it. There are the usuals. Aunti S, RC, Andi, Jessica, sometimes my mom...who else is out there reading this. I would love to know who you are, so just leave me a comment saying Hi!

More tomorrow folks!

End of Year Program

Well, end of year program has come and gone this evening. All the kids were so darling. Hope you enjoy the video. You will notice that Peyton is a good full heads length taller than the other kids. The girl is tall. The cute little twins standing by Peyton are named Abigale and Olivia. They are sooo cute. Identical. One has shorter hair, but I still can't tell them apart. Peyton can. ha They are very good friends. Peyton talks about them all the time, and I understand Abigale and Olivia talk about her a lot too.

Thanks, Andi, Ashleigh and Addy for coming to see Peyton in her program. RC. Yeah...thanks a lot for not showing up. Nah, I kid. Sydney had her Brownie party tonight with her troop. So fine, RC chose to go there instead. Dad didn't show. um-hum. Mom, I didn't ask because she is having surgery tomorrow and I knew she wouldn't be able to. Steve's folks were due to go, but Nana is sick today. Hope she gets to feeling better.

As I mentioned, Mom is having surgery tomorrow. It is to lift and repair her bladder. I'm not sure what all the problems have been, but nonetheless, enough discomfort and damage to it to have surgery. She will be in the hospital for 1-3 days. With her luck, it will be 3 days. I talked to her tonight. She's not a happy camper. She is hungry and they made her drink that stuff that keeps you in the bathroom all day. She's a little cranky, as you can imagine. ha Say a prayer for Mom, would ya.

On the real estate front....closing, I guess, Is still set for Thurs. on my listing. I didn't hear anything today, but I will call tomorrow to check on it I guess. I feel like I am bugging the escrow officer by calling all the time. haha Had a sales meeting today. I was 5 minutes late. But ya know what...tough. I can't have Peyton at school at 9 and be at the office by 9am too. Impossible. My broker kinda made me feel bad about it, but oh well. Can only do what I can do. I am just going to make a standing rule...anything that they want to start at 9am during the school year, I will be 5 minutes late. Mom's house...the other realtor hasn't been able to talk to her clients. Mom is offering another $2k in closing costs. Let's hope they say, "oh, yeah..what a deal, let's do it". ha I have a few buyers that I am working with. A couple I am having a tough time finding the right place for them. What they want is not available at this point. Another I showed last week hasn't called me back or answered my email. It's frustrating. I show...they seem interested, and then I can't get them back on the phone. I am starting to wonder if they just decide they don't like me or what. It's a dance. Love em enough to keep them coming back for more, but don't over do it, or they are gonna run. I may need to do more of the love, but I don't over do it. I am not a good sales person. I don't like to keep bothering people. But, I am working on ways to just keep touching base without seeming pushy. Hey...it's not like a pair of shoes. It's a house. If they are going to buy it, they are gonna buy it. If they change their mind, not like you can say, "ohhh...it's only $200k. You can handle it. "ha But whatever. I'm workin' it and that's all I can do. Oh, by the way...you know anybody wanting to buy or sell a house. Send them my way, would ya. haha No...really...I'm serious. ;)

Steve is in the middle of a very involved class of World Lit. Oy... ALOT of reading. ALOT of writing...ALOT of tests. Ridiculous. I don't plan on seeing him much for the next 4 weeks or so.

Auntie S....I don't think Ash would do ear plugs. Peyton is hit or miss on the naps. She did take one today without much argument. She had a busy weekend, so I think she is tired. But if no nap, she has to go in there and lay down for a while. And then, sometimes she will fall asleep, and others she will lay in bed and "read" a book. Either way..she's resting in some form or fashion. Good idea on the teacher gift. Thanks!

I'm dissapointed in my fellow bloggers. Andi...Jessica...no updates in many days. What up with dat! I am on Nyquil tonight. Sore throat and a little snotty. So, I'll be sacked out within the hour. Night my peeps!

Happy Memorial Day

A nice Memorial Day. A nice weekend, really. Yesterday we just hung out at home until it was time to take Peyton to Steve's folks house. She spent the night there. Steve and I went to our friends' house to swim, bbq and play poker. Today, picked up Peyton and went over to my Dad's house for more swimming and bbq. Just the Harris family and York family and Ashleigh, of the Linder family. Andrea has a sick baby today. She spent her day trying to get into CareNow on Memorial Day. And yes, it was an all day event. Addyson has been stuffy and runny for the last few days, but had a bit of a fever today. Doc didn't find anything wrong. Weird. We'll see how she does. Maybe it's her teeth. But again, the Doc said he didn't feel anything coming in soon.

By the end of the summer, I have had my fill of the bbq. I am enjoying it right now though. ha

Came home and hung out at home to get ready for tomorrow. I didn't do much work this weekend. I mean, very little. Don't guess many were worried about looking for a house this weekend. which is fine. I enjoyed the break.

Peyton is such a fish. She LOVES the water. She has no fear. Which is good and bad. She swims quite well for 3 years old. She did much better today. Not as much gagging on the water. Jumping in a lot, and swimming all over the place. Ashliegh is still a little behind on the swimming. She was sidelined for most of the summer last year because of her burst eardrum. She is very sensative when it comes to her ears. She has had such issues with them. The tubes she had in and then the busted eardrum and the constant ear dr. visits. She just protects them, and doesn't like the water to get to them. But I got her to get out there swimming a little today. She is still in love the the steps in the pool because that's where she feels safe. She is a certain must for swimming lessons this year. Peyton too. Still haven't looked into that. Goodness. Must do that this week.

We all got some much needed color on our skin this weekend. ha I didn't burn. Peyton didn't burn. Steve burnt. ha He always does. As long as I do a little bit at a time on the tan, I don't get really that red. Peyton gets lathered in sunblock, so she doesn't get red.

This is Peyton's last week of school. I need to get a nice teacher gift for Ms. Carol. Probaby the last year she is going to do the preschool gig. She is pretty over it. Can't say I blame her, but she is so good at it. Any ideas on a creative, nice teacher gift??? Anybody? Give me a comment for ideas. Peyton has a end of the year program Tues. evening. It's always a cute little program. Last year, she threw up all over the floor on our way out with about 100 people waiting in the isle to get around the nasty puke on the floor as we scurry to pick it up. Let's hope that doesn't happen again.

Then Thurs. she has her last day with a "splash party". They have a bunch of baby pools set up, and toys and bubbles, and sprinklers to run through and they can play on the playground while eating popsicles. I would like to go as I did last year and the year before. I have my first closing on Thurs. I hope it doesn't happen during the time of her splash day. We shall see. I'm excited too about my first closing. Finally, a few bucks in my pocket. Much needed. It will help pay for the monster cell phone bill. Blah....would rather go shopping. ha

Here are a couple of videos from today too of my awesome little swimmer and jumper. Go Peyton! Ya'll have a good Tues.

Short and sweet

Not much today, folks.

Ash and Peyton did good last night sleeping in the same bed. It took them about an hour to go to sleep. Got up and me and the girls went to get our hair done. Well, Me, Andi and Ashleigh got our hair done. Me and Andi got ours "painted", as Peyton likes to call it. Peyton was just along for the ride today. She had a hair cut last time. Came home and Peyton and I took a nap. ;) Love the weekend naps. Hung out and went to dinner with the Harris's to a new place by the lake. A grill. It was nice, but it took a very long time to get our food. They have only been open 2 weeks, so there is a curve they have to overcome. Good food there, and love the lake. God... we want a boat so bad. Always have. They are just too expensive. Then to maintain, gas, oil, storage, insurance...etc. Momma is gonna have to sell a lot of houses before that is going to happen.

Steve and I came home and watched "Crash". Depressing. Really kinda a drag. I like happy movies.

Otherwise....that's it. Not much happenin'. Thought I would do a short blog for this fine Saturday. Thanks for visiting my blog!

Ear piercing day!

Now...look closely and see who DID and who DID NOT get their earings pierced today!!! Yup!! Ashleigh did and Peyton did not!! How freakin' shocking is that! For those of you who don't know Ash very well...she is kind of "delicate", I guess would be a good way to put it. ha She will cry and cry if she scrapes her knee. This is a girl that fell down in the parking lot at school and hurt her knee, and had to be rocked by the teacher for over an hour, and finally the teacher had to call to come pick her up because she wouldn't calm down. She is not a fan of pain..let alone voluntary pain. But she did it! The story goes as such....2 weeks now.."Momma, I want to get shots in my ears so I can get earings." Been my "bribe" all week. "If you are a good girl I will take you to get shots in your ears." "Peyton, if you don't listen to Mommy you aren't going to be able to get earings." So on and so forth. We decide to take Ash just on the off chance she might want to do it. But the plan was to let Peyton go first because I figured she would handle it better than Ash. So did Andi. We get there and we pick out the earings they want. By the way...nearly $40 bucks to get the earrings in. Good God! Anyway...I say, "Peyton, come on. Let's get up in the chair." "No, Mommy I don't want earrings anymore." We put her up on my lap. She sat still for a minute, but started to freak out when the lady got out the hairclips to put her hair back. That is what triggered it. Go figure. She screamed and cried. Wouldn't do it. Ash said, "ok, I will go first." I wish you could see the look on my face when she said that. She hopped up on my lap and went at it. Now, there was only one girl there, so it wasn't going to get both ears done at the same time. But the lady said she is quick, and will be done in 2 seconds. So we went for it. Ash did it! Did she cry? Yes, of course. Had to kinda hold her hands down for the second one, but she did it. She cried only for a minute. No throw up either. ha She did awesome. Peyton....wasn't gonna happen. Still tried for 10 mintutes after to talk her into it, and she wasn't havin' none of it. Ash is now happy she did it. Won't let us touch them though. I am sure they are a little sore. But will be better tomorrow. Good job, Ash. I am not goin to push Peyton to do it. She will do it when she is ready.

Happy Birthday, Momma! We had a nice evening at dinner. Hope you had a good day.

Steve and I went to see "What Happens in Vegas". It was so good. So funny that Steve always complains about seeing movies I like all the time, but he ends up loving them too. He likes shoot em up, kill em, sci fi movies. Me....NOT AT ALL! Those kinds of movies put me in a funky mood. Happy, romantic comedies put me in a good mood. The things you watch, really do affect your mood. After the movie we went to Hobby Lobby to get my mom a gift, and he kissed me and rubbed my back in the store. I said, "see....those kinds of movies put you in a happy more romantic mood. If we went to see one of your movies you might want to stab me right now." ha

He agreed. Then next week, I am going with RC and her friend, Susan, and Andi to see the Sex in the City Movie. I never was really a huge watcher when it was on tv, but saw the previews tonight, and it looks good. And I have been watching the reruns as they come on now.

Ashleigh is spending the night tonight. Trade off for Andi watching Peyton this afternoon. I am letting them try sleeping in the same bed together. Tried that last time to no avail. This time...I will let them go a little longer. I put them to bed earlier this time though. And I know they are tired, so we'll see how it goes. I do hear some commotion in there now, so I better go get it under control.

Here are some pictures of Ash getting her ears done. Night and have a good weekend!

A long weekend

Ahhhhh. A long weekend ahead of us all. A little longer at the York household. Steve is taking off tomorrow. Trying to think of something to do that is relatively cheap. We are thinking of going to see a movie or something like that. We haven't been to a movie in FOREVER! I want to see "What happens in vegas..." Looks funny. But then there's the Peyton challenge. Humm...wonder who could babysit. Well, Nana goes to get her hair and nails done on Fridays, so she's out..hummm...who else is there?? Let me think. OHHH...I know of somebody! Hi Andi! So, Andi...whatcha doin' tomorrow? Wanna babysit. ha I already actually asked, and she said ok. I offered a kid swap. She takes Peyton tomorrow afternoon and I will take Ash tomorrow night and let her spend the night, then take her to our hair appt. for our exchange. We'll see. Maybe it will work out.

Not much planned this weekend. I think we are going to take Peyton to get her ears peirced. All she has talked about for 2 weeks. We will see how she does it. I will take pictures and put them on the blog. I have explained that it is going to hurt a little bit. And I have taught her, that when she sits in the chair to get them done, to say outloud really loud "NO PAIN NO GAIN". HEHE I am going to scar my child for life. Not with the earings, just my goofy ways. hehe

What all ya'll have planned this weekend? Anything fun? Thanks to those that comment. Auntie S. Yes, I do have a princess nightlight for her, and have to show her everynight that it's right there and it will give her light so she can see. Apparently not enough.

Today...took Peyton to school. They had a bouncehouse there for them. She was very excited. Next week is her last week of school. Bummer for all involved. But her wonderful teacher, Ms. Carol has let me know that she is watching 2 other kids this summer, so if I needed her to just call and she would watch her. She is so awesome. She is VERY good at what she does. Very loving and caring to the kids. I think she has had enough though. She is ready to move on to a new job. RC see if you can get her a PE aide job. That's what she wants to do. She has been good to our family. She was Ashleigh's teacher, and was so great with her. Ash needed some extra attention at that age (not any more..my goodness...she has come out of her shell since age 2-3), and she really was there for her and gave her the extra attention. She knew Peyton when she was a tiny baby because I always took and picked up Ash from school. Then now she has my little 3 year old. She is special to us all! Thanks Ms. Carol, for all you do and have done! We love ya.

Went and got my nails done after dropping off Peyton. shhhh...technically I was on floor duty, but I got away with it. Had to be done. It was getting ugly. Came home and worked a bit and did my showing this afternoon. Went very well. They liked it, and felt like it could be the one. I have only showed them one, so hey....quick easy cash if it were to work out. We'll see. Nothing is that easy for me, so I am not too optimistic. ha

Picked up Peyton..no nap again! Not anything even close to a nap. I did more work. Was going to take a couple out to show them some areas of houses in the $500k range!!! They never called me back and are leaving town in the AM, so...hummm. Not real sure what to do there. I'll work it out. They will be moving here within the year. I want them to remember me! I want to sell a $500k house!!!

What else....hummmm....we went to El Paseo for dinner. Good Mexican food. We are proud of ourselves, because this is the first time all week we have eaten out. That is good for us. We are trying to do better on that. Sign of the times I suppose.

Hittin' the hay! Later gators!

And the winner is...

DAVID COOK! I was hoping he would win. Other David was good too, but too young for that madness. God...I sound like a mother. ha No more American Idol until next year.

So Peyton's new thing is turning the light on after I put her to bed. She has been doing this for a couple of weeks. Sometimes it's just dimmed, cause we have a dimmer on her light, sometimes, it's full blown, sometimes it's her lamp. A phase I guess. I have to wait until she goes to sleep to go in and shut it off. If she is still awake when I go in there to shut it off she freaks out and will get back up and turn it on. I am not fighting her on it. I'll just wait and shut it off. I don't know what the right thing to do there is, but that's how I have been handeling it.

Today Peyton went to her Nana's house. She got to go swimming which she was so happy about. Nana didn't want to get in the pool, so she let her get in the hot tub so she could sit on the side and help her if needed. But Peyton took it upon herself to JUMP in the pool! She did that the other day when I was there too. The girl has no fear. She MUST have her floaties, because I couldn't even count on 2 hands how many times they saved her life last year and so far this year. Swimming lessons are a must this year.

I had my team meeting this morning. Lots of cool stuff. Did more work at home, had to pick up my sign and lockbox at my now, cancelled listing. ;( Cooked dinner and watched American Idol. That's my day in a nuttshell. ha

Tomorrow...floor duty in the AM. I think I am going to cheat and go get my nails done though. hehe Have a showing at 1pm then pick up Peyton from school at 2. I have LOTS of phone calls to make. OHHHH...speaking of phone calls!!!! I checked online to see my cell phone bill!!!!! OMG It is over $300!!!!!!!!! I nearly had a heart attack. Thats double of what it usually is. It says we went over our minutes like 300 minutes or something like that!!! I just upped our plan to include more minutes, but I guess I am going to have to do it again! Good God! That's going to be fun to pay. I am so mad about it! Damn! What a waste of money. I AM on the phone a lot, I admit. But it is my lifeline for work. I spend most of my day on the phone. I better start making some serious money to just pay for the freakin' cell phone bill. UGGH

Looking forward to the weekend, although we may not be able to do anything because we are going to be too broke from paying the cell phone bill!!!!!!! ha Steve is thinking about taking off Friday so he can have a 4 days weekend. That will be nice. He could use the long weekend.

Ok, so until tomorrow...night!

Not much

Really...not much to say today. Took Peyton to school, went to Andi's to enjoy a delicious breakfast her friend, Jessica, made this morning and I was invited! ;) Showed them how to do one of the videos I posted yesterday, and hung out for a bit. Went to Target to buy a bathing suite and to the Avenue and got a shirt and nightshirt. Which I needed very bad. My nightshirts are pathetic. Time to replace all of them.

Went and got me a chicken sandwich, picked up Peyton and came home and worked the rest of the afternoon. Peyton didn't nap so she was kinda on my nerves. Steve didn't get home until 6:30, and came home to a home cooked meal. 2 days in a row, mind you! haha I worked most of the evening catching up on leads I needed to update. We watched American Idol. Who do you think? I like David Cook. He is most original I think. The other David is awesome too, so either way you can't loose.

Other than that, got Peyton to bed, Steve to bed, and here I sit blogging. I am fixing to head it to bed too. I is tired today. I have a team meeting at work in the morning. Peyton will be going to her Nana's house. Got the offer on my mom's lease house. We are about $12k off on what each party wants. Don't think it is going to be salvagable. (sp?) Ugghh.

Going night night folks. More tomorrow.

Scroll down for a slide show

I wanted to do a written blog. But I already posted a slide show earlier, so I didn't want ou to miss it. So scroll down for the slide show.

Ok. I kinda dogged my Dad yesterday. I am going to need to redeem myself. Really, my Dad is really awesome. He has always, and currently does take great care of all his girls. We are greatful to him for all he does do and has done. It's simply, when it comes to being places on time, and making efforts for his grandkids that bug me. He knows it. I have talks with him about how upsetting it is to me. So he knows what I am talking about. But really, overall...he is very good to us. I am 100% positive he doesn't read these, but just in case....love ya pops!

Ok...that piece of business is out of the way. Today...I'll rate as a 9. I can't complain. Got up, got peyton ready, cleaning ladies came, lawn guys came..all at the same time. I couldn't wait to get out of here. Noisey!

Went to the office to double check the offer for my Mom's house didn't come....nope...it didn't. Went to Andi's house, hung out with her and Jessica, her friend. she goes there and helps them out in the office since I was FIRED!!! (inside joke) Ordered some pizza, let the kids play, did some work, came home, Peyton actually took a a nap! Took her an hour to get to sleep but she did it. Woo-hoo!

We were talking the other night at my friends about how bad Peyton has been. She mentioned that she thought it may be because lack of structure. I don't know what do you all think? She says because I am working more....some days she is with me, some at school, sometimes at her Nana's house, sometimes at Andi's.....etc. And that daycare would make life more structured for her. Because each place I take her does things different. Yes, I take her to different places, but I would say 80-90% of the time she is with me. So I don't know if that is it or not. It's not that I don't believe in daycare, it's just not for me. I promised myself that when I had a baby I would not put them in daycare. Again....nothing against daycare, and those who choose that route. Just for me, not something I care to do. It makes life more difficult...yes...having to work and try to make sure she is cared for. BUT....ya know...she is only 3 once. And if I have days I can spend with her, I want to spend it with her. I want to spend as much time as I can with her. I don't want to put her in a place with a bunch of strangers. I don't know.....like I said...what do you all think? I can see her point, but the more I think about it I'm not sure that's a viable reason. And it's not a viable option for daycare. So we will have to figure it out.

Otherwise....it was a good day. Cooked a little dinner, hangin' out with the hubby and daughter. House is clean, lawn is mowed. Life is good!

I did lose my Lake Country $225k listing today. ;( The girl lives in CA and is renting out the house right now, but they have decided to move back to TX in about 6 months. So she cancelled the sale of her house with me. Bummer. She is sweet though, and wanted my address to send me some wine because I was so helpful to her. That was nice....I kept telling her not to worry about it, but she insisted! Nice. Even though I'm out a bunch of money. haha That's ok. More around the corner.

Ok kids! Have a good day tomorrow!

A special treat!

Sunday (oh, and Saturday)

Ooppsss!!! I missed blogging yesterday. I know you are all just shaking with withdrawls. haha

Saturday....not much. Steve had to work, so Peyton and I went to lunch together before heading out to Ash's t-ball game. Ash played very well, looked too cute. Go Ash! Peyton still doesn't understand why Ash couldn't come out of the fenced area to play with her. Poor girl. Then came home cleaned house and off to Burleson. We had a good time at our friends house. We ordered in dinner and played poker. There were 5 kids there! oy.....Well...one is 2 months old, so really he wasn't any bother. The occassional grunt. ha Steve and I lost, so I have to buy lunch for my girlfriend at Potbelly's again. Oh well...a reason to eat Potbelly's. Yummy! It is nice to go and have some good laughs after a long week. We have a good time hangin' with friends.
We got home pretty late so that's why no Saturday blog. Sorry...really!!! I got hate mail...so sorry people. haha Thanks for the comments! I enjoy them.

Today...lazy morning...lazy afternoon...then to Steve's parents house. First day of swimming. Ok. We cheated a little. They heated up the pool a little bit. It was nice, and Peyton jumped right in. I can't even tell you how many gallons of water that girl swallowed. There was a lot of gagging, but I am glad to report there was no puke in the pool today! woo-hoo! ha This is also the first year that she has been potty trained during swim season. So there weren't any accidents there either, but it was about 4 or 5 trips to the potty in all that swimming. That girl was so tired, she didn't last 5 minutes in the car ride home. Sacked out. Had to wake her up for a bath though, so I let her stay up till the sun went down. And I mean...the sun was barely down, and I had that kid in bed. She was soooo tired. The pics above are from today.

RC is probably going to be mad because I didn't go over to my dad's like she was doing today. But R....we had already had planned on having dinner there tonight...the swimming was last minute, so don't give me any crap. ha My dad would probably give me crap too...if he actually read this blog.

I don't know what my dad's deal is, really. He gets mad at us for not calling and coming over as much as he would like, but then he makes absolutely no effort to be apart of our lives over here. Our kids are always having concerts, recitals, school functions, holiday functions...etc...and honestly, I think we have all hear every excuse in the book why he couldn't show up. But yet...he takes kids that Anna watches out to these cool places every so often but doesn't do that kind of stuff with his grandkids. Once a year....at Christmas time, he takes all the kids to the movies. I'm not sure why. It annoys him that the teenager grand daughter doesn't like talking or have a personality. She is 17. No 17 year old has any kind of personality to adults...we all suck to them. He has raised issue that my daughter didn't greet him when he walked into the room.....she freakin' 3! This is a man that raised 3 girls. He is routined in all of this. I sometimes think he bitches just to bitch. Makes up reasons not to spend time with the grandkids. I don't get it really. It's kind of upsetting. I have said things to him many times about it. Andi and RC never will, but I do. All I get is "well they don't aren't banging down my door." My feeling is, he is the adult. He should make the effort to show them that he loves and wants to be around them. Otherwise, the kids move on to people that do. I think he still hasn't accepted that his kids are grown up, and don't want to accept the kids they produced. I don't know. A theory anyway.
Anyway. So after baths and bedtime, Steve and I watched Jackass 2.5. Pretty funny, but really gross. I have to turn my head on a lot of it. But for some odd reason, Steve and I enjoy Jackass...the movies and shows on MTV. We're twisted like that. ha Now it's getting late and I am tired too. So I will need to head it to bed soon.
Not much work at all this weekend. No leads sent my way at all. Kinda weird. Been tha way all week. Don't you people want to buy a house or what. Good news is I got an email Saturday from a Realtor that showed my mom's rent house 2 weeks ago, she said she is writing up an offer for her client and wanted to make sure we didn't have any others on it. "Uhhh...no...!" In fact, the night before, I was doing research to figure out what the heck the deal was. It hasn't been getting showings like it should, I havent been getting sign calls on it, etc. It is the only house in the subdivision for sale right now. It should be getting some hits. I think it is priced half way decent. I think if they would come down another $5k it would sell quick. But I understand why they aren't. Mom did call yesterday right before the lady emailed me and told me to knock the price down $2k. Then I got the email. But the bad news is, I haven't seen the offer. hummm....hopefully she just doesn't like working on offers on the weekends or something, and is waiting until Monday to get it to me. haha God, I hope it's a viable offer! One that we can negotiate and close on! That would be nice for my Mom. I won't make much on it, but hey...every little bit counts.
Tomorrow is going to be the hottest day of the year so far. 96 or something like that. yikes! I am ready for summer, but not the heat. We'll manage.
Alright...I wrote a long blog and added pics since I missed yesterday. That should make it all better. ha
Have a GREAT week! Lookin' forward to it (I guess.)

Friday

Comments, comments! I like em. Thanks for the comments.

So tired today...as I was yesterday. Snoozed in bed this morning with Peyton in my bed watching cartoons. That felt good. Had a lazy morning. I didn't realize that I didn't put my cell phone on the charger last night, and it was as dead as a doornail this morning. Put it on the charger, turn it on...."ding, ding, dong, dong, ring, ring..." 4 voicemails, 3 texts, 10 emails, and 4 reminders. I apparently missed a lot of stuff while snoozing. I was actually thinking to myself this morning how quiet things were. Usually mornings are hectic with phone calls and emails. I think I need to shut my phone off more often. ha Not wise for a Realtor to do! ha

Went to lunch with a friend of mine. We both love this place called Potbellys. They have awesome sandwiches. We both get this one in particular called the wreck. Ham, turkey cheese and god knows what else. Quite yummy. Peyton was SOOO bad when it came time to get dressed. She whined and whined, she cried and cried....I threatened to let her go naked again. She got dressed. She just fought me on everything. I show her which way her underware goes on, and she does the opposite. Didn't like the outfit I picked, didnt want to put her shoes on the right feet, didn't want her hair brushed, didn't want to brush her teeth, didn't want the drink I poored...etc. EVERYTHING a fight. So frustrating. Then she got mad because she didn't get her vitamine before she left. "Well, Peyton, if you had gotten dressed and did what I told you to do, we would have had time to get your vitamine." She cried for 10 minutes in the car over that.

She did ok at lunch. She started to fall asleep in the car on the way home. I told her we were taking a nap when we get home. I go to put her to bed, she wants p.j.'s on. I tell her not to sleep in her tshirt, she throws a fit and tries ripping off her shirt. So I said, "fine, take the shirt off then you sleep naked." She cried for 20 minutes. I look at her on the monitor in the tv and she's digging for p.j.'s. I go in there and try to calm her down as she is kicking and screaming. She was so obviously tired. A tell-tale sign is rosey cheeks for her. They were red before we even left for lunch. I told her "either the tshirt or naked, you pick". She put back on her tshirt. Tried being calm and calming her down. She had herself all worked up. After 2 more tries of telling her to get back in her bed, she fell fast asleep. HALLALULA (sp?)!!!! a good 2.5 hours worth of naptime, quiet and peace. awwwww...Loved it. Then, after she woke up....let me tell ya....a completely different kid arose. Fun, loving happy, and well behaved. I'm tellin' ya. The kid is tired. She always had to have, and I believe, still does need a nap. But damn, that girl fights it to the end!

And yes, a fun night. Wal Mart grocery shopping on a Friday night! Don't be jealous...but really...how lame are we! ha We so badly needed groceries. And seemed everybody and their mother had the same idea as we did.

Kind of a slow week this week. Kinda weird. Still just nursing my Watauga contract along. Option period is up Tues. (fingers crossed). Did a showing today, made a few phone calls, etc. Just not real busy. Now, watch...it will all hit over the weekend.

No big plans this weekend. Lookin' like we are going to go to our friends house out in Burleson. Probably order in and play some poker and let the kids play together. Otherwise...nothing really. Which is fine with me.

Alright....so boring. lottie-da!

Thursday

Ok. Look people! Family and friends! People who are supposed to be looking out for me! I am a Realtor...in case you didn't remember. If YOU or ANYBODY YOU KNOW is wanting to buy or sell a house, would you please tell me! Tell them about me! I mean really...my own sisters don't try to send me business! RC has a whole school full of people she could be making sure to tell..just in case. Bunko friends, band booster folks! Andi....TEACHERS AT A CERTAIN SCHOOL! VERY dissapointed!

Moving on. So today was good. Peyton went to school. Not much work going on this week. Kinda weird. Hardly any calls all week. I was soooo tired today. You know that feeling when you first get up and your so groggy and out of it, and convince yourself that you will snap out of it once you get dressed and ready. I just never popped out of it. I picked up Peyton from school, and bribed her to take a nap! "You can have one of the special Princess snacks if you take a nap, but only if you nap". So I lay her down, and she is gung ho on taking a nap so that she can have a Princess snack whens he wakes up. I so happily decide I am taking a nap. I crawl in my bed, and turn on her tv monitor in her room on my tv. That child CANNOT sit still. I really was sitting there watching her thinking, this poor girl. She really can't just relax. Is it the brain going a mile a minute? The muscles in her body just wanting to move? A spasm in her brain that tells her extremities to keep moving? I dont know, but I almost feel for her. I yelled across the house, "Peyton, lay down". So funny to see her face when she didn't have any idea how she knew I knew she was up wondering around her room. hehe I think it lasted for maybe 5 minutes. A book was then her entertainment for a while. I fell asleep. Steve came home and she was in the bathroom playing with the water in the sink. I wasn't asleep long, so I know she wasn't in there long, but uggghhh....have I mentioned I miss her blankets! I think she does too. Her teacher at school said that she tried to put her other blanket in her mouth today. ha Poor girl. I wish I could just give them back to her, without any permanent damage to her as an adult. haha Not gonna, just wishful thinking.

We need to go to the grocery store badly! Steve said tonight, he just figured I decided to stop cooking dinner altogether. ha No, just waiting for payday to go spend $200+ on groceries. Plus, I wanted Pizza soooo bad for dinner. Steve does not care for pizza. So I dont' get it near as much as I would like. He gave in tongiht. I think our Friday night outing is going to be the grocery store. Fun stuff. But we are desperate.

Otherwise...not much going on. Peyton and I was out front for well over an hour riding her bike. She is getting better at it. But my God...it is so frustrating to teach a child to ride a bike. But she is picking it up pretty quick. We went around the courts then went around our big block in the neighborhood. She is getting better at the peddeling, and she just needs to be able to steer while peddeling. haha Steve was trying to work on his school work and she was kinda bugging him, so I took her from the situation.

I have been talking to her about saying hello to people when they say hello to her when Mommy is with her. So when riding our bike tonight, all the neighbors we passed, she said, "Hello", "I am riding my bike. Santa gave me my princess bike." So funny. Then she turns around to me, and says "I say hello to people because it's nice to say hello." Cracks me up.

Anyway. Tomorrow is Friday. Not that it makes much difference for me when I work weekends too. But, Steve is home, so it makes it easier. Plus it's payday. Which is always a good thing. I have a showing in the evening, and answering phones for Andi in the morning. That's 'bout it.

Until tomorrow! Night!

Wednesday

Hump day is over now let's get on to Friday!
Ok. So I got half done of what I said I needed to do. I went shopping with Peyton. We had a nice day. Went to the bank, stopped off at Wendy's for some lunch, went to Target, Famous Footwear, Hobby Lobby, and Avenue. The kid was asking for MORE shopping. "Can we go to another store, Mommy." haha God I love that girl. She likes shopping! Momma's girl. Target we got her a couple of bathing suits and her and Ashleigh a matching Memorial day/July 4th outfits. We get them matching ones every year. They will look cute in them. I got Peyton a pair of Tommy Hilfiger flip flops at famous footware for 10 bucks. Well...buy one get one half price sale. Hers was half off. This is her first pair of flip flops, so it's kinda funny to see her try to get them on and walk in them. Takes practice I guess. I live in flip flops/sandles in the summer. I can't do socks in the heat. Makes me even hotter. That's about it. I got some office supplies and tubs for peyton's closet clothes. Now, the not so fun chores I had to do...clean out closets, organize the office...didn't get done. Oh well...there's always tomorrow. I did do some work though.

Tomorrow floor duty and peyton to school. Somebody asked, I think Auntie S., since she is the only one that will comment....(COME ON PEOPLE...COMMENT) asked if we carpool when touring. Yes. We do. I have a Chevy Tahoe so we take mine and 2 others. As high as gas is getting, we should take turns each time. But whatever. My feeling on the gas thing, is there is nothing we can do about it, so I ain't gonna worry about it. I just don't look at the pump when I am done pumping. ha

It's raining pretty good out now. Had been dry all day, but muggy. It must have rained last night, but I didn't hear a thing. A few storms are going to rumble tonight, and then be beautiful for the next 5 days. Spring in Texas is awesome. Just dread June to about Oct.

Alright folks. Not much going on. So I will put you out of your misery. Night!

Tuesday

Notice how creative I have been on my titles. ha I took these pictures on my phone. I LOVE the one of Addyson sittin up in her Bumbo chair. The other is Peyton on Mother's day at Steve's folks place. All the other kids were swimming (I think it's still too cold...but whatever), and she was patiently waiting on the sidelines. She understood that she didn't have her floaties so she couldn't go in. Plus...momma wasn't about to get in that water with her!

God I miss the sucky blankie! That's all I will say on that. I wish I knew a new way to get her to relax and be in stillness for more than 1.5 seconds. Naps are a thing of the past....which is tough on us both. (peyton and I, I mean) 3 is tough. Tougher than 2's. Ugghh. I have to find some activities or her in the summer. Or she and I are both going to go stir crazy! Her Nana, Meme and Pop Pop all have pools. So in the summer she swims a lot. And she will probably be at her Nana's mostly, so I am sure she is going to have a full summer of that. I am going to look into some swimming lessons. Maybe a vacation bible school. How about a summer long camp. hehe...no..I kid..really...I'm kidding. ;)

It was a LONNGGG meeting at work....a LONNGGG home tour, and a short broker's open. I think we drove like 90 miles today. "Tour" is when we, as an office, tour our agents new listings. This week took us all over the place to about 7 homes spread out all over Azle and N. fort worth. We usually don't go that far, but because there was so many out in the boonies in the same week....odd by the way....we trucked it on out there. Meeting started at 9am and we didn't get done with it all until 1:30. Hell by that time it was enough time to stop and get a drink and get Peyton. Usually, on meeting days, I enjoy a couple of hours of quiet work time at home. Didn't get that today.

Today's naptime consisted of more vicks vapor rub on the dresser. I have now, and finally emptied her drawers...which I should have done a long time ago....I know. So then, round 2 for a nap try....nope....I missed a little tube of baby orajel, but Peyton did it. I don't really know how to say it to her. How do you make a 3 year old understand. So I told her to just pick up her pillow and go take a nap in timeout....cause she's gonna be there for a while. I am not ready to give up on the naps though. She needs them. I can tell by 6pm...she needed that nap at 2pm. That poor dresser is so slick. haha It has been lubed and tubed.

It is muggy and warm outside. There are big storms on their way...you can feel it outside. Tomorrow...not much goin' on. I am going to make it a day of getting stuff done. House is a mess, I need to go get Peyton a bathing suit and a few summer outfits, I need tubs to clean out her closet, some office supplies, go to the bank, and finish organizing our home office. It is still not all put together. So lookin' like me and Peyton will be hangin' out cleaning and shopping. I am sure there will be some work to do as well....but we'll do that as it comes.

Happy hump day!

Monday

Not much to report today. Kinda boring. Work. Peyton didn't do anything much. She went to her Nana's house for most of the day while I did some work. Steve....worked. Peyton was in bed by 8:50. That might be a record. She gets even more hyper the more tired she gets. When she starts getting silly, and jumping around and won't stop talking....sure sign it's bedtime.

Executed a conract on my Watauga listing. Lookin' good. Inspection came out clean. Now we will all cross our fingers for 8 days during the option period, and pray the buyers don't back out for any reason. I think I will be devestated if it does. The owners moved to their new house today, and I would really like to get it sold for them so they don't have to worry about it anymore....plus....I sure would like to get the first sale under my belt. Not to mention there was a lot of time spent on this one to get the deal signed. My friend, Bridget, bought me lunch for my birthday today too. That was the highlight. We don't see each other much. Pretty much do lunch every few weeks. Thanks, Bridget! Did my showing at 8am this morning...ughhh....and they wanted to put in an offer. It is a HUD home, so I went to put in a bid, and it already had a contract pending. I had just checked it late last week and it hasn't been on the market long. Goodness. My luck will change soon....I CAN FEEL IT!!! hehe

Poor Steve. He is in some class where he is reading a book with the most boring material and the smallest print I think I have seen for a book. He is taking online college courses. He is a little more than half way done, but he can only take one class every 6-8 weeks, so it will take him a few years to finish. Bless his heart. The man works hard. Works 8-10 hours a day, comes home and helps me more than probably most men do, and does his class work at night. I don't think I could do all he does.

I'm pooped. Yesterday whipped my butt, and I didn't get enough sleep last night, and didn't stop most of today either. Tomorrow will be busy too. Meeting, new listings tour, and a brokers open which we have been told we need to attend, being it's OUR broker who is having the open. ha School day for Peyton, which will be coming to an end in a few weeks. Bummer for me and her!

Lookin' like rain the next few days. Hold on to your hats....Night!

A nice yet not relaxing day

Hope you all had a good mother's day! We did. It was nice, but just a long day. That's the thing about any holiday. Not relaxing. We have to run from one place to another. Started off the morning sleeping good...then SMOKE ALARM!!! And it's not stopping. I finally hop up and open the bedroom door and the house is full of smoke. Steve was cooking bacon and I guess it got out of hand. He's standing in front of the smoke alarm with a broom, Peyton is screaming "Mommy, it's not stopping." Steve by this point is pissed. When he gets pissed he gets more destructive thus making things worse. He "hisses" louder than a cat in heat. He was mad because he wanted to cook me breakfast and give it to me in bed, but the smoke alarm ruined that. He made french toast, eggs and bacon. Yummy stuff. He's a good cook. The bacon wasn't even burnt. ha Steve got me a new office chair for our office. Since we rearranged we needed another one. I haven't had anywhere to sit on my side of the desk as of yet. I got roses and a card. Peyton got me a card, flowers and a neclace with a heart on it that says" I know love because of you". I thought that was sweet. She said, "Mommy, I made you this neclace and breakfast for you." So sweet.

Peyton did pretty good today considering the long day. She had a melt down or two, but nothing too major. We have to get up pretty darn early in the morning, so she was in bed once the sun went down. Living in peace for the rest of the night....ahhhh. :)

We went over to my Mom's house. Had a nice lunch that the boys planned. We did something different this year. We did a game called "A Lazy Race", or something similar. Kind of a mini-version of The Amazing Race. The "Moms" went on a scavenger hunt of sorts. Go to one destination, get a clue, go to the next destination, get a clue. I had a tough time on some of the clues. One was go to CVS and buy something for .50 cents. Finding something for .50 cents is harder than it once was. Me, Andi and Joy (my step-sister) were there at the same time. They were in line with something that was .59. "I said...oh, no no! Our mother said .50 cents...hell I could have found 100 things .59 cents...the challenge was .50. They saw my point and went back to find something. Although they saw what I had and they went and got the same thing. Cheaters. I even was nice enough to let them all pay together. Then andi threw my item down in the parking lot! What a b*&*^. But I got out of the parking lot first...speeding down the street.....missed he light...andi cut through the YMCA parking lot to make the turn without hitting the light, but there was another driveway I cut through and beat her to the exit of the parking lot. LOL Then I go to turn into the street, and there is Joy....I soooo cut her off, then Andi got stuck in 3rd place. It was so funny. Oh, and I had to steal RC's car to go to CVS because she was parked behind me. She probably wouldn't have been happy with our speedracer 3-way race. hehehe It was fun. I came in second place. RC got first. Andi and Joy...sorry to say...no prize for third and fourth. I won a blockbuster card for 2 movies, 2 sodas and popcorn. But I switched with RC's first prize because she rather have that one, and I got her $15 Jack in the Box gift card. Steve eats there for lunch sometimes, so it works out.

Then off to Steve's Mom's. Ate again there. Hung out with that side of the family for a few hours and then finally got home around 7:30. So a long day.

So have a great week folks. I have a showing early, early at 8am. I have to get peyton to her nana's house and get to the showing by 8am. I am not a morning person. But these people wanted to go today at 9am and I told them no since it was mother's day. So I felt obligated to go in the morning. uggghhh.....

I think I am better at the blog thing than Andi lately! She is skipping a lot! Auntie S. You leave great comments. I am glad you had a good Mother's day. Wish you could have been with your kiddos though. Give Uncle Richard a kiss for me. Night all.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all you Momma's out there! It's going to be a busy Mother's day, and probably not very relaxing. Go from my mom's house to steve's mom's house. No rest for me on Mother's Day. Which kinda stinks.

Peyton shows off her skills in the video. She does very well with her ABC's. She's a pro by now. Smart kid. I am going to have to say that the 3's suck worse than the terrible 2's. I miss the sucky blanky!!! That blanky was the only way she would sit still. She doesn't sit still at all. Why? Doesn't she just want stillness....ever? So yesterday morning we had to go relieve Andi and watch Addy while she went to "Muffins with Mom" at Ashleigh's school. I pick out an outfit, which was the only clean summer outfit she had, so there was no option for her to pick from. I tried putting it on her, and OHHH NOOO... "No, Mommy...I don't like those panties." "No, Mommy, I don't like that shirt", "No, Mommy, I don't like those pants." Tried 6 times to get the shirt on her, and she wouldn't do it. I spanked 4 or 5 times, i did timeout...nothing would make this girl get dressed. Sooo...I had had it. I told her fine. Go naked. And that she did. I think she was kinda shocked when I walked out to the car and she was standing at the door crying, "Mommy, I'm cold." Ok...let's put it in perspective...it was 80 degrees. So we drive up at Andi's and she is still saying she's cold. We walk into Andi's and Andi starts crying. I explained to Andi the story, and she could see I had no sympathy. Andi grabbed her clothes that I brought with us and Peyton let her put her clothes on right away. I just hope maybe that taught her a lesson. Momma ain't playin' anymore!!! I find toys on the floor, they go in the trash. She doesn't get dressed, she goes naked. She doesn't listen she loses a precious movie. Then she has to earn the movies back.

So my friend, Erica, called me yesterday. I was quite surprised to hear from her. I told her I blogged about her and she hasn't been reading the blog. She didn't even know about it. So she must not read her email very often, as I sent the link over a month ago. She passed her real estate test in WA. I'm proud of her. I am sure she will do well at it. She didn't really have a reason for not contacting me. She just said she wanted to wait to call me until she passed her test. OOOKKK. Whatever. At least I know she doesn't have a grudge going or anything with me. Anyway...moving on. All is well.

So Hopefully you all will have a good mother's day. We all deserve and have earned a day of pampering. Iknow my husband is looking forward to tomorrow. hehe

Until tomorrow....

More clean up!

So to be short and sweet today. At naptime today, in which there was no napping going on, she proceeded to continue her destruction. Vaseline, baby vapor rub and q-tips. All the q-tips did was help her to get the vasoline into the small cracks of her dresser. A smaller, yet more difficult mess to clean. I am really thinking the naps are over. Everytime she goes in there for nap she destroys. I think she may be trying to tell me something. I am just sooooo not ready for her not to have naps. That is precious quiet time for me during the day! I honestly don't think this child would sit down all day if she didn't have to be strapped in for car rides. Good God...the energy! I wish I had an inkling of that energy.

Ok...I am high on Nyquil and what I am typing is getting more and more blurry.
That's it for tonight All. Sleep tight.

A good turnaround

Ok. So this week has had an a pretty good turnaround so far. Got my laptop sending emails. Ok...STEVE got my laptop sending email. And he got the new printer to print. Now he just has to figure out how to get it to where I can scan. God Bless that boy! He is patient, smart and diligent (sp?) I'm thankful to have him.

I could really use that scan up and working about now because I got ANOTHER GOOD LOOKIN' CONTRACT ON MY WATAUGA LISTING! WOO-HOO! It may not have to lease afterall!!! Very glad about that.

Oh, Peyton, Peyton....the girl is 3. That's for sure. It took her 2 hours to go to sleep last night. She now feels like she needs the light on to go to sleep. So she keeps getting up and turning on the light, and grabbing books to read. She hops back into bed and reads books. Which is fine even though she can't read. But I guess she likes the pictures. I put her to bed at 10pm last night, and she didn't go to sleep until almost 12:30am. No nap today, so we told her she had to go in her bed and rest. She was up reading books when I went in there to check on her. Which is fine. I think the nap thing is just about over for her. But she needs to rest and I need the break. But then, I go in and and she has gotten the diaper rash cream and the tube of vasaline out and put it all over her furniture, her bed, her clothes, and her books. She Got out the box I keep in there of her special baby stuff and destroyed the box. Her hair from her first haircut was out of the bag and on the floor, she got vasaline all over one of steve's pics from when he was a kid, tore up the box steve's baptism candle was in, she just took it all out and scattered it all over her room. Needless to say, she is in big trouble. It was dinner, clean her rooms, bath and bed. I'm so dissapointed in how she is acting lately. But I know she's 3 and we are going to have to just ride through. Lookin like that pretty cinderella dress is going to be something that is going to be a rare wear for her. It was taken away yesterday. Earned back by leaving the light off last night and going to sleep. Then taken away again this evening.

I just want her to take care of her things, and be thankful for them. That will take some teaching I suppose.

Thanks for the comment Aunti S. Keep em comin'. Everybody else can comment too ya know. ;)

All is well, and hopefully with you all also.

Ever wanted to throw a computer!!!!

I AM AT MY WITS END! Let me tell ya. This has been a frustrating day. To start of my day...my week for that matter...I find out that my Katie Ln. listing that HAD a contract on it, fell through today. People changed their mind on the last day of their option period. Ugh. Back on the market, but to add more good news to that (sarcastic) it's looking like it is going to lease before selling. There is somebody interested in the lease idea. I am happy for the owners that really need something to happen because they are closing on their new house this week, but for me it stinks because I will lose money on the deal. It costs money to list a house. I won't make hardly anything on it with the money I spent getting it on the market and marketing it. But whatever. I just hope it works out for the homeowners.

Then...I take my laptop computer to the office for the computer guy to set it up on the network there. I told him, that I had already got it up and running on the router and was able to get internet, and I could recieve emails but not send them. He went into this long story on why that is...and to tell you the truth...I DON"T CARE! I want to be able to send and recieve emails just like every other person in the office. I go pick up the computer and I see I have emails....by now the guy has come and gone...I reply to the emails and NOTHING! This time I don't the the immediate error message, it just sits in my outbox. Ok, fine. Didn't fix that. Figured once I got it home I could send the messages! OH NO!@!! No such freakin' luck. I now cannot send emails AT ALL on my laptop! THEN! We bought an all in one printer, scanner, fax, copier the other day....supposed to be awesome how I can sit in the living room and print. Nope, can't print, can't scan. It has to be plugged into the printer, but there's only one plug, and we need that for the desktop. People...it is just a networking nightmare. I have email messages on the laptop for work, then some on the desktop. Then they have attachments on them that I need to print out...oh but wait...have to somehow get it to the desktop so I can print, oh but wait again...can't do that either....because now I can't email. I would use the flash drive and transfer documents...oh but NO. The flash drive we have isn't compatible with Windows Vista!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE! I want to be able to turn on all and any computer, be able to print, email, get online, scan and all of it without having to know how it works and why it works....I JUST WANT IT TO WORK!!! URRRGGGGGG!!!! Anybody know somebody who can set this crap up for me. 'Cause if it doesn't start working soon, this laptop, the printer and the desktop are all gonna get chunked into the wall!

Then I go to use the phone, and only one phone in our house works. What is up with that. Why only one phone is working. I had just faxed something, and it worked. Go to make a phone call and none of the freaking phones are working. I really, seriously can't take it anymore with this all. Yes, I am fortunate that I can have all this cool stuff. Problem is, I spent the money on all this crap and none of it freakin' works!

Ok...done venting. Otherwise....fine day. Hung out with Peyton all day. Bought her a little purse for giving up ther sucky blankies. Went and ate pizza together for lunch. And ran some errands. Otherwise she hung out in her cinderella dress the rest of the day. Her purse matches her dress by the way. It also doubles as a basket for Toto for when she decides she's "Dorothy" for the day. ha Very cute. She is certainly 3. Can't sit still, can't be quiet, can't listen.

Oh, and Auntie S. I love your comments. So funny. She made a good point on the dicipline thing. Bribery. and I have been using that more and more lately. In fact....Peyton's movies are constantly on the line. I took 5 away from her the other day when it took her over an hour to clean her room. Motivation more than anything. And if she does something good, then I give them back. But seems she is losing more than she is earning back. ha

Comments people. I know people are reading this, because I see the counter rising by the day...but why no comments. Anybody can comment. You don't have to have an account. Love to hear from ya!

Night peoples!

Cinderella Dress

Well, Aunt Andi came through. She got her Cinderella dress that she has been so excited about. She spent all afternoon in it. It is pretty and it has lots of sparkles. Problem with that is my house and Peyton are covered in sprinkles. Thanks Aunt Andi. haha JK. She LOVES the dress.
She also got her Cinderella shoes. She is set. The magic wand, the tiarra, the shoes, and the dress. She is officially, a princess.
Not much to report. Spent most of the day working in our office. We are rearranging it to make it more functional with having the desktop and the laptop, and we can both get on the computer in there and not be in each others way. Now I need another office chair. Oh, the money I could spend. uggghhh....Steve has been in there since 1pm. It is now 10pm. He came out to eat dinner and that's about it. He is organizing right now, and as I stated previous it is best not to get in the way. I tried to go help, but he kept redoing what I did and looking at me like, "you gonna put that there." So I left and did other things in the house. That furniture in there are heavy and huge. I'll have to take a picture after his all done. Kevin came over and helped get the bulk parts moved. But since then he realized a cord came loose and fell behind the desk and he had to pull some of it which is not an easy task.
Peyton had a fun time at Nana and Papa's. Lookin' like Nana is gonna have to need to watch her again tomorrow for a while. Got the guy at work coming to set up my laptop to be compatible with the equipment up at the office. About time!
I again am not feeling so well. I think my head was stuffed or at least my ear, and now it's draining because my throat is scratchy and I have a sinus headache. Hopefully it will be better tomorrow.
Ok, that's the brunt of the boring Sunday. Ya'll have a good week!

Weekends are fabulous!

Really not much going on. But I'll do a quick post. Yesterday was kinda stinky. Had a meeting, then some LAST minute showings....(I really hate being rushed like that). Andi was kind enough to let me let Peyton nap over there. Got one of my difficult to approve clients approved for a lease. I'll tell that story next time. Did some more pressing work at home to finish out the afternoon. We went over to some good friends of ours last night for dinner. They cooked out on the grill for my birthday, had a birthday pie, and off to play poker. Peyton was so bad over there. She peed in her big girl panties not once but TWICE!! I was mortified becauses it got on their carpet too. She cut up a magazine, and tore up a piece of paper. She has been a little toot lately. Not listening is the main issue. Gonna have to get tough on that girl. There's a way to put up a poll on here. I am going to do a poll. Time out or spankings. My friends think it's ridiculous that we do time out. I personally think it works to an extent. It gets her out of the situation and lets her think about what she has done. But when there are constant repeat offenses it's time to spank her little butt. Which breaks my heart to do and honestly I probably don't do enough.

Our friends just had a baby. He is tiny but very cute. They asked us if something were to happen to both of them they would like us to take their little boy. We were honored that they asked. And of course we said yes. They both have a little family, but not really close enough to them to feel comfortable with that. So we will be there for them.

Found out a lady two doors down died this past week. She was probably around our age, with about a 10 year old son. The Dad an her have always been in a off and on relationship. Poor kid.

Worked a little today, took a "chair nap", and went on a date with my husband. Steve's folks let Peyton spend the night. Steve and I went to The Keg for dinner. That place is so good. I am not a big red meat fan...but really, their steaks are wonderful. Their strawberry daquries are even better!!! They are a bit pricey, but we shared a meal so it helps. But well worth it. Then to finish off our hot date, we went to Sam's Warehouse! hahaha Really we did. Bought an all in one printer, scanner, fax, copier. Got a great deal on it. It was $130 cheaper than office depot for the same thing. Now we are just enjoying the peace and quiet. Weird not having Peyton here. I miss her even though I needed the break and she probably needed the break too. She loves being over there. They spoil the heck out of her, which is probably why she likes it there so much. A nice break though. A nice day and a nice night. Thanks, Steve for the date. Night all.

SHE DID IT!!!

SAYING GOODBYE TO THE BLANKIES

HANDING THEM OVER TO ADDY

SHE SAYS BYE TO THEM AGAIN

SHOWING ADDY HOW SPECIAL THEY ARE

ADDY ENJOYS THE ONE OF SEVEN BLANKIES

I can't believe she did it. Really, I can't. I thought she would be sucking on those blankies till she went to college. What a brave kid. Addy seemed to like them. Oh by the way, Andi. I want those back. Those are keepsakes. I keep everything when it comes to her. May think this is gross...but I still have the dried up umbilical cord that fell off shortly after birth. I know...sick. But I can't throw that away. ha And I am not a packrat type person. Our rule around here is, if we haven't used it in a year, it goes to the garage sale. But when it comes to her stuff, I hate getting rid of them. Good job Peyton! Momma is so proud. I asked her if she was happy or sad she gave the blankies to Addy. She said she was happy. I guess she is ok with it all.

So it was mine and Andi's b-day. I had a good day. Took Peyton to Mother's Day Out, went and got a mani - pedi, went to have lunch with Steve at Outback, went to Andi's until time to pick up Peyton. Didn't seem Andi was having such a good day. Andi was upset with Ash for pushing a child on the playground at school. Then Ash fell in the parking lot and threw up for 10 mins. That's what Ash does when she cries a lot. Blood and throw up everywhere. Andi was in tears by the time I came to her house. Kinda feel bad her birthday wasn't so good. Picked up Peyton, came home and did some work. Left to goto Ash's t-ball game. My Watauga listing that has a contract on it was being inspected, and the homeowners were upset about how the inspector and other realtor were doing things. I was around the corner at the t-ball game, so I went to defuse things a little. Part of the job. I don't blame them...it's hard to have people come in and invade your home and ask you to leave. Next time I know...tell the homeowners not to be there. After that went on to Frescos...a mexican food joint. All the family came. Nice dinner, went across the way for some yummy ice cream. That's the end of that. A nice day overall. Thanks for coming those who came and thanks for the gifts!!

OMG! It's so late. I have a meeting at 10am. I am unfortunately going to have to take Peyton to Andi's house for a couple of hours. I feel bad doing that. She has enough on her plate. Kinda don't have a choice tomorrow though...she said it was ok. So we'll do it this time. I REALLY try not to bother her with watching Peyton unless it's nap time and all she is going to do is sleep.

Must go to bed. I have a BUSY day tomorrow. May have to cancel lunch with my friend, Traci. Hard to get together with her though cause we have both been so busy. We'll see.

Night Night!
