Christmas - OVER!

Well....Christmas 2008 goes down in the history books. I, for one, am kind of happy about it. All the hussle and bussle has left me tired and a little relieved. I am currently trying to download pictures, but it is taking forever. It didn't download...darnit! I am tring to do just one at a time...let's see if it works. Nope! It is not working. I will have to try again at another time.

The days before Christmas were full of family, Christmas parties, and BAKING! A whole bunch of baking. So much so, that I was so tired of looking at it, that I didn't want to eat it. Peyton enjoyed all the cooking because she would steal one from each batch. Talk about sugar high!

Peyton had a great time at Christmas! Christmas Eve we went to Steve's folks house for a nice dinner and gifts. Peyton made out like a bandit. I am going to wait until I can download pictures to tell the story. christmas morning we woke up, opened gifts and ate pull apart cake for breakfast. (kind of a tradition in the York house).

Ok...I am going to blog again when I can download pics. I want to put the pics with the Christmas events.

I'll try again tomorrow. Night

Merry Christmas!

This picture cracked me up. She was jus sitting there looking at this puzzle trying to figure out how the heck she was going to put it all together. Mind you, Steve sat there with her for like 2 hours one night putting this same puzzle together. But she just couldn't wait to tear it apart and put it all back in the box. uggh.

Midevil times was a good time. Peyton really enjoyed it. At first she said, "Mommy, I'm scared." And I just reassured her. She sat there intensly watching the show. She was so inthrawled with the whole thing. Our Knight kissed a flower and threw it right to her. It was so sweet. She just thought that was the greatest thing ever!
enjoy the pics. I am at work now, but am heading it home to do some baking and wrapping. Gotta get ready for Christmas.
Merry Christmas, Ya'll! I hope everyone is safe and has an enjoyable Christmas!

Ho Ho Ho

Wow! Merry Christmas, Ya'll. Only 2 more shopping days until Christmas (ANDI). For those of you procrastonators. geez. hehe I am done. I just have to get one more gift card, and that's it. Done..finished!
Peyton is just so excited she can hardly contain herself. She is so funny. I tell her how many days until Christmas and she is just jumping out of her skin. Christmas is going to be fun this year. She undertands it, she is so excited about it and will be just so happy to see all he presents under the tree. We did get her some cool stuff..she will LOVE. The problem is where to put it.
I have lots of pictures to post. But..I guess it will have to wait. I barely was able to get on and post a blog. My computer is running so slow that it isn't opening some web pages. It's either the computer or my network. Uggg....I just want things to work, and work now!

We have been so terribly busy. I really am just not sure how we are going to finish everything. I still have a bunch of baking to do and wrapping. I am not going to have time. I am on floor duty tomorrow,a nd I do have some work to do. I think I am going to go to the office for a little while and then come home and bake. Maybe tomorrow night Steve and I can wrap. We also need to clean our house. What a mess. It puts me in a bad mood. ha

But the season is almost done. We will all be back to normal soon.
Ok...this computer is acting up. I will write more tomorrow and post some pictures hopefully. This really irritates me. Computers are wonderful, but are a pain in the butt at the same time.

More tomorrow. Night

Kevin Middelton...that's who!

Ohhhhhh Kevin Middelton Harris is a man that is well on his way to getting his ass kicked!
So who is "The A Team"...That would be Kevin. He just LOVES to mess with us. He fessed up tonight. I can't believe him. He got us ALL worked up, that little bugger. Kevin..you are in for it. I don't know how, but I am going to get you back somehow and someway. Not just me, but I ask for all of those involved in any of Kevin's schemes to join me in the pursuit to "punk" Kevin.

Whatever..Ok..moving on from that. What gets me is, I went crazy for 2 days wondering who the hell "The A team was"!!! Ok...really...moving on now.

Just thought I would give you that peice of information!
It was a busy weekend. Friday night, Jim's Birthday. Sat. Ash's recital, Jessica's baby shower, and dinner at the Keg with friends. Now that was yummy! Today, just hung out at home and then went to Brittany Youth Orchestra concert. They are awesome. Hard to believe all of them are just teenagers. Unbelievable God given talent. Took Peyton too. Wow! That was fun. That child cannot sit still. But for being 3 and having to sit through an orchestra performance, she did good. I know that must be hard for kids to do. But I want to expose her to those things.

Coming up this week. Some work, another work xmas party, must start baking, finish shopping, Midevil Times Friday for Dad's and Syd's bdays, gift exchange with some friends on Sat. , Sunday is The White Family xmas, there's a Saginaw Band concert sometime this week....It promises to be VERY busy from here to Christmas. Taking one day at a time, and just going to go with the flow.

Ya'll have a good week!!!

Who is "The A Team"

So who is "The A Team" that posted that comment?

People...keep in mind...this is my blog...with my thoughts, happy things going on in our lives, sad things and annoyances. If you don't care to hear any and all of these things in all their glory then don't read it. I write what is on my mind whether it be good, bad or indifferent. And if you want to post something...I am game and like to hear what you have to say. It's easy to write things anonomously and say comments you don't have to take responsibility for. I don't write anonomously and take full responsibility for what I say.

With that being said. My comments on how busy times are around Christmas are completely accurate. I have a family that I care about, and take the time out to do the things with my family. Does it become overwhelming...absolutely! It can get maddening when you are a mother trying to enjoy the season with her 3 year old daughter, make sure you attend all your nieces events...because I love them too, attend all the parties of those important to me, and manage to work in between all of it. Do I vent about it...sure. Would I trade it for the world...NO! This is my family and we choose to participate in all it has to offer. When you are as close of a family as we are, it comes with its tribulations, disagreeances, and verbal abuse.

So again, I say...read it don't read it. But these are the facts and don't damned me for my words. Take them for what it's worth. Agree with them or don't. But Make it known that I love my family and don't think twice about all I have to do to participate as such a family. Holidays can be difficult for us all. Whether you are alone or as busy as we are.

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.

oopppss!

Goodness...I have really slacked. eek. Sorry. Honestly...I just haven't had much to say. There is a lot going on, but at the same time, there is nothing going on....if that makes any sense. I am not busy at work....Peyton is just being her usual silly self...Steve...same ol' same ol'. So like I said...not much of anything.

Details..ok. Peyton of course, first and foremost. She is just growing like a weed. I can't find pants to fit her. That is my main issue these days. ha If they fit her around the waste they are too long...Then there are some that are do fit around the waste, but keep falling down her butt and showing her buttcrack. She is constantly pulling up her pants. It is irritating. She really is just built weird. Honest...she is built just like Steve. Like really...just like him. Short wasted, no hips AT ALL, and all her weight is in her gut. Honest, I don't think she is fat. She is a little chubby, I think..well for sure, a little chubby. But that is not the reason pants won't fit. I think it's because they sit on her so low because of her waste, and thus are so long because of it. It's weird. Maybe I am just now noticing it because she wore dresses all summer...I don't know.

Yesterday....she told me on the way to school, "Mommy, I will miss you guys", and I said "when". She said, "while you guys are at work". I said, "Do you mean while you are at school?" She started crying! She said, "Yes. I will miss you guys while you are at work." I told her, as I always do, "Remember whenever Mommy drops you off somewhere I will always come and get you." She just cried. Broke my heart. She was fine by the time she got to school, but..geez....so guess what we did today. I stayed home with her. The girl knows my buttons. Guilt is one of them. ha What's funny is, this is a girl that begs to not leave Nana's house when I or Steve come to get her. She's done it at Andi's too. So I don't know. Unpredictable girl. ha

Work. Not a lot is going on. My team moved back into our old office. They had their own space within the Lake Country offices. So we moved back in because our Broker, in reaction to some conessions he made for our team, asked us to work from there more because it makes the office looks happenin' and busy, and that there are actually Realtors there. ha There are only a handful of us still. Then 2 of the ones that were pretty active had to get full time jobs...so they are never there either. So I have been working from the office most days. Works out well for us all to be there. We can feed off of each other more, and I learn by watching and observing and just paying attention to what others are doing. So that should help. Right now, though. It is soooo slow. Uggh. I complain about being so busy, and then complain about being bored. Why can't there be a happy medium. I do have a great lead on a $450k house! That one I am very hopeful about. Hopefully she will make a decision by the end of the week. But it's a short sale, so those are always time consuming.

Steve...well he came home not feeling well today. stuffy head, sneezing, achy. ikes. I hate when he is sick. When he told me on the phone that he was coming home early because he wasn't feeling well...I think I sounded put out. I just hate when he is sick. He is a miserable sick person. Not that I am any better, but I have to listen to the snorting, hacking and loogies. So anoying. I am not that bad. I just sleep and don't get out of bed until I am better. ha Otherwise...he is frustrated at his job. A lot of drama type stuff. He hates drama, and people that complain about working. Might be why he is sick...stressed out.

Otherwise. It is a busy month with "hey, come to this recital and that recital, and this party and that party, and don't forget that birthday party and open gifts with these friends and that family and oh yeah, christmas concerts...and on and on and on!" I am tellin' ya. Our family knows how to keep us busy. Uggh......Oh, and lets not forget the $110 adventure RC decided we all needed to do for Syd's and Dad's bday. Oy...Midevel times. Yes...I have wanted to go for a while...but never have because I didn't want to spend that kind of money on dinner. IN PARTICULAR right before Christmas when money is at its tightest. But...we are going, so I will find a way to pay for it. RC...we can do McDonalds too ya know. haha JK (RC will get bent out of shape on that comment....oh well..she's pretty good at calling out people on her blog too. hahahahaha again...kidding..sorta)

While I'm at it, why don't I call out........oh nevermind...I don't need more trouble. LOL Really...just kidding that time.

Got the company christmas party tomorrow afternoon, and have to get up early.

Life is good...life is movin' way too fast..."roll on..roll on rollercoaster. We're One day older..and one day closer." Kid Rock song...have it stuck in my head.

Night folks

The Christmas Season has started!

Look what I did!

Gingerbread house fun!

Intently placing the candy

"Can we eat it now Mommy"

Turkey Day..notice the Apron! hehe

Well, we hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. We had a nice day. It was tiring, but nice. We had everybody on my side of the family here at my house. Not too bad. All I had to do was straighten up, buy ice, cook the turkey and dressing. Steve started carving the turkey because my dad was like 30 mins. late. this was after I called him at 5 till noon to ask how long until he was going to be here. He said he was right around the corner. Yeah, well..he must have just been leaving because he didn't get here for another 25 minutes...that's how long it takes to get to our house from his house. urrgg. Nonetheless, Steve started carving the turkey so we could all eat already. Once dad got here he chipped in to help. We had a nice meal and then all sat around saying how stuffed we were. Kind of stinked without the Linders here. I didn't get to spend the first Thanksgiving with Addy. That makes me sad. Oh well.....

After everybody left we had to go to Steve's Mom's house. Jim, steve's step dads side of the family was going to all be there for dinner. So we joined in for another meal. Needless to say...we were soooo full! ha But it was all good eating. ha We were kind of glad when the day was over.

This morning Steve, Kevin and RC kicked off the Christmas season by getting up at 6am to go shopping! Crazy people! I got up at a wonderful 9:00 and got me and Peyton ready and met them all at one of the stores. Then we proceeded to shop until like 5pm! uggh. But we got a lot done. I, personally, didn't see any huge spectacular deals this year. It was good though. Then we got home, chilled for a while and I fell asleep in my chair. Ate some leftovers and were going to put up our tree, but time got away from us...so we did the gingerbread house instead. Peyton was driving us crazy to make it, so she got her way. ha

Here is a picture of the shirt I got her and Ashleigh. Too cute!

It is so fitting. ha
So, that's about it. The rest of the weekend doesn't entail too much. We will probably do our tree tomorrow. Tomorrow night we are going to some friends house. Then Sunday I am on Floor Duty in the afternoon. I will either be really busy, or have nothing at all. Not sure which yet.
So ya'll get to shopping...only like 26 days until Christmas.

Some Pics for ya

These are some pics that I had on my phone forever and finally downloaded. The ones of the Sydney and Peyton are the only pics I have from the State Fair of Texas, since RC hasn't sent me the ones she took from her camera. Geez..rc!

Peyton...Big smile.

Sydney looks a little bored on this ride.

Peyton loved the rides...but those darn straps on her shirt
wouldn't stay up. ha

Girls...your a little young to be driving

Peyton and Momma

So there's some pics for ya. Haven't really blogged much lately. Sorry 'bout that. Not that I've really been all that busy lately. Last week there wasn't a whole lot going on. Had a closing on Friday...that was the highlight of my week. ha This weekend...Friday night, Andi and the girls and I went to the mall to find Christmas dresses. After seeing how much they were, I decided not to buy one. Peyton has about 3 of them hanging in her closet that Ash handed down...so I decided to just let her wear one of those. That whole thing was a butt-whoopin' with the girls. Not really minding us, and running like wild childs. Saturday...hummm...what did we do Saturday. Oh yes, Steve had to work, and I had a couple of showings, so I had to drop Peyton at Andi's house for a few hours. Then Steve met me for lunch since I was on his side of town. I picked up Peyton and Ash so Ash could spend the night. Peyton and Ash haven't been able to spend a whole lot of time together since Ash has been in school. Makes me kind of sad, but just a preview of what it will be like. It makes me sad because I want Peyton to feel like her cousins are like her sisters, and be very close since she is the only one without a sibling. ;( Saturday night we just took the girls out to a Hamburger joint. Poor Ashleigh is having such a time getting used to going to school all day. She was so tired...she fell asleep as soon as we got back in the car. So when we got home we put them to bed. It was only 8pm!!! LOL I don't think Peyton has been in bed at 8pm since like....EVER! hehe But they ended up talking and playing for like an hour and a half....so it was more like 9:30 before they finally fell asleep.
Sunday. The girls got us up and I got them bathed. We were going to the Gaylord Hotel to get some pictures for Christmas in their dresses. Dried their hair and curled it. They looked so pretty. Andi, Brian, Steve, Ash, Peyton, Addy and I headed out. Hopefully we got some good shots we can use on the Christmas cards. The Linders had to go because Andi was taking some more pictures for a friend of hers somewhere else. So my little family hung out and checked out the sights at the Gaylord. They have it all decked out for Christmas already. We made it to see Santa and Peyton sat on her lap. She told him that she wanted a sleeping beauty dress and books. That was it. hehe She has been cracking me up with the Santa thing. I threaten to call Santa if she is being bad, and she freaks out and says, "NO Mommy...don't do it" and starts crying. I layed off of it a bit, because I don't want it to freak her out and have a bad experience with it. I threatened that with Ashleigh and she just said, "I don't care". LOL....what a party pooper. ha
After the Gaylord we went to the Cheesecake Factory and used Steve's gift card he got for his birthday. yummy stuff. Then just hung out at home the rest of the day. Today...nada....I didn't have anything going on. Had to run to one of my team members house to drop some stuff off, but that's it. Went to Hobby Lobby and used a coupon I had and got a gift or 2. Then came home and hung out with Peyton. Tomorrow I have a full day with floor duty and a closing. Payday for me!! woo-hoo! ha
Julie, my team memeber, gave me some material to recover my dining room chairs. I was truely going to Hobby Lobby to get material for the chairs, but she had a bunch at her house that she didn't want. So I picked one that will work terrific. So that was nice of her. Now I just have to figure out how to do it. Aunt Sharon, will you come show me how. ha We shall see how that works out. But I would be embarrassed for anybody to sit on them. The cat has grossed them up nicely.
Got the turkey defrosting in the outside fridge. My mom called tonight in a panic reminding me that I needed to defrost the turkey. hehe No faith, I tell ya. I told her, "what, you didn't want to naw on some raw frozen turkey for Thanksgiving this year?" ha This is only the 2nd time I have ever cooked a big ol' turkey....the first one turned out good though, so now if only I can remember how I did it last time. The Linders are leaving tomorrow night for Brian's Dad's house....I don't know, Indiana or something like that. ha I forgot... It will be weired not having them in town. Steve is already set to do the Friday after Thanksgiving early morning shopping trip. What a glutten for punishment. I guess he and Kevin will go again this year.
Peyton has been obsessed lately about her as a baby. She was asking all kinds of questions tonight wanting to know what happened when she was born. I gotta tell ya...I am glad we got her birth on video. She LOVES to watch it. She thinks it's the coolest thing. Yes, there is blood and all that jazz....but it's part of life, so I don't mind that she sees that. So after we talked about how she had to go to the special nursery because she wasn't breathing good, and how she finally got to come and stay in Mommy's hospital room after she got better and then got to go home, she wanted to go watch the video again. ha She is too funny. Normal, I guess.
I realy don't have much else. Mom is doing good. No surgery as of now for the pocket of fluid. I am pretty sure she will have to eventually, but maybe they will not see the need until after the new year. Dad's his usual fiesty self. ha He is doing well.
Otherwise, folks...gotta hit the hay. Getting late and I must get up early. Yup...I have done it to myself again. ha
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

A week until Thanksgiving!

Only one more week...better get to the store and get your turkeys. I did. I got a 21 pounder! Its a big momma! Thanksgiving is at my house this year. Oh boy! Linders are leaving town. They suck! Whatever... Less mouths to feed.

I cut Peyton's hair last night. It's a little shorter than I wanted, but I am a rookie. ha Nah..it looks cute, I think. Her hair grows so fast, it won't even matter in a month. It just was getting too much to take, and I haven't had time to take her to Tina's. Sorry Tina...had to be done. )

Got a closing tomorrow! woo-hoo! Got one on Wednesday too! Woo-hoo! Bring on the bucks, baby! It has otherwise been a slow week around here. I really wasn't feeling too good yesterday, so Peyton and I hung around the house. We hadn't done that on a week day in forever! I didn't even get dressed. I took a nap and the whole bit! Peyton wouldn't lay down with me, so I put on a movie and she played in her gameroom. I did have to get up in the middle of my nap to wipe her bootie because she decided to go poo poo while I was sound asleep. All I could hear was, "Momma...come wipe my butt!" over and over. Unfortunately, my nap was only a little over an hour...but it was still a nap none the less. Peyton tried. She did finally come into my bed and tell me to get up. Nap time was over by then anyway. I do feel better today. If I feel myself getting sick, I sleep my ass off and I can usually fight it off. Knock on wood. ha

Got the cleaning lady coming tomorrow. woo-hoo! Only crappy thing is she is coming at like 8:15am!!! Not too happy about that. I don't tend to like to getting up early, in case you all haven't got a hang of that yet. ha Oh well...probably get dressed, grab some breakfast and take it to Andi's until my closing at 11am.

Pretty boring week, folks. I even had time to do an elf thing. I emailed it to some of you...but here it is for those who didn't see it. Just click on the link.

http://elfyourself.jibjab.com/view/5udctt4rmq3qAGRZ

It's funny stuff...I know. That's how slow I have been this week. Honestly, I don't expect things to pick up until after the first of the year. We shall see.

Oh...I got steve a new cell phone for his Birthday. So we took his old phone and told Peyton that Santa gave it to us as our direct line to him. And when she starts to act up I tell her I am going to call Santa..and have a couple of times. When I go to pick it up now, she says, "don't do it Mommy!" hehe Santa actually called it last night. Steve made his phone ring and I told her Santa was calling on the Santa phone. But this time it was to tell her what a good girl she was for cleaning her playdo mess and getting ready for bed so quickly. She thought that was too cool. She keeps wanting to talk to him, and I have to tell her that this phone is onlly for Mommies and Daddys. It has worked thus far...we shall see. We have decided we can't abuse the Santa phone thing, or she won't take it seriously. So we are laying off a little bit. Bribery...works every time!!
Night folks!

Happy Birthday Steve!

Addy didn't like all the happy b-day singing..ahh

Best buds

Sweet babies

Such a pretty smile

Happy Birthday Punky!
Yes...my old man husband is 37 today! OMG! I have to raz him about it, because I am 6 months younger than he is. When we were 20 and 21 he just thought he was so cool that he was older and could drink and get into clubs. Well, now the joke is on him. hehe
He had a good birthday. We did our family celebration last night at Bucca di Beppo. It's a family style italian place. Awesome food! Love it. It was a great time. Then today I got up early and cooked biscuits and gravy and bacon. His favorite. Then just had a nice and relaxing day. I took a big fat nap! I hadn't taken a nap in a good couple of weeks. It was great! I crashed out! I bet a good 2 and a half hours. woo hoo! Then we got dressed and ready to go to "The Crimmins Team" client appreciation party. It was nice. We just invite all of our previous clients to come for dinner and mingle. None of my clients came. ;( I only had 3 or 4 clients that bought so far this year. Lease clients dont count, otherwise, I would have had a room full. hehe Julie, our team leader, got Steve a Birthday cake and called him out and we all sang happy birthday to him. He was red, and embarrassed, which was the point. It was a nice thing to do for him. I really enjoy my team, and I think we are all getting closer and more trusting of one another, I think. But anyway....It was a nice evening, but I was ready to get home and comfy again. ha
So I brought out Peyton's Cowboy jersey for her to wear today, and Steve said since it was his birthday he wants her to wear the Steeler's jersey today. Not fair! I refuse to put that thing on her, so I told him fine..only because it's his birthday...but he has to put the ugly thing on her. ha Peyton is so confused on who to like. Mommy tells her that Steelers are stinky and Cowboys are cool. So when she's with me she says "Steelers are stinky, aren't they Mommy". But then when Steve brainwashes her she says, "Mommy steelers are cool!" So the poor girl is just so confused and just trying to please her mommy and daddy.
Peyton likes to watch herself as a baby on all these videos I took of her as a baby. So I went in there and turned it on and watched some of it, and it shocks me of how much I have forgotten and how it just all seems like a blur, and what a damn shame that is. I hate that I dont remember every minute of her babyhood. I of course remember the highlights, but not every minute and every milestone and when it happened. It makes me so sad to watch that and know that I may not be able to do that again and experience and give Peyton that experience of a little brother and sister. She was talking yesterday about a little sister. Asking me if I had a baby in my tummy and I told her no. She asked why, and I told her because God hasn't given me one. And she said"mommy, I prayed to God for a baby sister, do you think he will give me one". And I just don't know how to answer that. Steve saw it on my face that it upsets me, and told her not to talk about it. But I told him, no....that I don't want her to think she can't talk about anything with me, and it was fine. I answer her questions as best I can, and she always, in true 3 year old fashion, quickly moves on to something else. "Mommy, are we leaving now to our party". hehe
Oh what to do. I really do think I am going to go for it and give it one more shot with the artifiicial incemination. I think if I don't I will always wonder and regret not giving it that one last shot. I am not sure when, but I think I have to do it. I just worry about my career and how I am going to handle being a full time mom of TWO kids and be a productive real estate agent.
I would need a Nanny that could come to my house when I need it. That would be ideal...but I aint got the money for all that. ha
What else...I really have rambled now. I guess I don't have much else to say. Thanksgiving is coming up and time to start planning. It is at my house this year, so I have to get on that and soon. I think work is slowing down a little bit, so maybe I will have some time now to contemplate and plan. ha
Hey...ya'll have a good week, and I will try to blog this week.

CMA awards

LOVIN' the CMA awards tonight. That's Country Music Awards for those who don't know. Awesome performances, and just really entertaining. I do still love my country music.

A mid week blog for ya. Not a whole lot to say really. Still no pictures taken. Sorry. Peyton is doing well. Steve stayed home on Monday to study for some work class he has been taken...I think it's called APIX. Not sure. Nonetheless, it's difficult and they have to take tests that he had planned to study for at work, but can't get time, so he took a vacation day. I asked Peyton on Monday would she rather stay home with Daddy or go to Nana's house. Nana won! LOL I don't really think Steve's feelings were hurt, because I do know it is hard to get any type of work done with Peyton around. Jabber, jabber, chit chat...scream, yell and make funny noises. ha
So off to Nana's she went. I had a luncheon that day, then came home and worked all afternoon and then off to a happy hour that evening. These builder happy hours that they host are wonderful. Free food, free drinks and they give away things like $200 visa gift cards, and and gas cards, starbucks cards and such. All for just getting a flyer of their new homes that are available. This one was at Chedder's. YUMMY! Although it was a good time, I didn't win squat!! Whatever! I never win anything.

Say a little prayer that these buyers I showed today some lakefront property in the $600k range BUY A HOUSE! That's some good money there folks! And Ally needs it! hehe

Mom is doing well. Had to have a bigger drain put in her kidney area cause she was leaking. She will be having surgery again soon to fix the fluid pocket problem. ugghhh. Dad's trial is going on this week. It really sounds to me that he has a strong case. It's very technical and very detailed. Yesterday he said it went very well, and today not as well as yesterday. I hope he can pull it out. He has worked very hard preparing for the trial, and deserves to be compensated for his work that he performed for this co.

Steve's Birthday is this Sunday. That would be number 37 for the old man! geezzz! We are having a client appreciation party for "The Crimmins Team" that I am on the night of his birthday. So Julie, our team leader, ordered Steve a cake and is going to bring it out so everybody can sing to him. I am going to be laughing my ass off. LOL I will HAVE to get a picture of his tomatoe red face. hehehehe

So, I guess that's about it for now. More later in the week. Nighty night!

Yo Yo Yo

Well hello friends. Sunday here in the big city. We had a nice weekend. Peyton had her last soccer game. Andi, Ash, Addy, Joy, and my dad all showed up to see her play. That was nice. It was at 8:30am, so it was quite chilly. Then I had to leave from there to get my hair done. Peyton and Steve went to breakfast together, which I think was sweet. Then the phone started ringing. I pretty much was on call all weekend. My fellow buyer agent was out of town yesterday and sick today. So I had plenty to keep me busy.

Peyton then spent the night at Nana and Papa's house so Steve and I could do our annual shopping at Toys R us to kick off our holiday shopping. Believe it or not we are almost done with Peyton. We are going to get a few more items and stocking stuffers and that's about it.

Peyton had her end of year soccer party today. I, unfortunately, got a call and had to go show. Steve took her and said they had a good time. Trophies and pictures should come in this week sometime.

Otherwise, just shaping up to be another busy week. I haven't taken any pictures lately. I know Andi took a ton of pictures at the soccer game the other day, so I am sure she will post some of them. Click on the link on the upper right hand side to link to her blog to see the pics.

Otherwise. Ya'll have a good week! More later this week.

A Thursday Blog

Yeah...almost made it through another week. And what a week it has been. sheewww! Peyton has been shuffeled to Nana's house, school and Andi's house all week. I have been very busy this week. I'm sorry, Peyton. Momma still feels guilty. But the great thing is, she loves going to all 3 places. There is excitement when I tell her where she's going for the day. So that gives me comfort.

I forgot to pay Peyton's tuition this week! I remembered when I walked into get her today that I didn't pay it, and I don't carry my checkbook! I remembered Tues. when I walked into get her that I didn't write a check too, and said to myself, "I'll just pay it Thurs." Well now we won't be back until Tues, and it will be like 10 days late. I do feel terrible. Crap! oh well.

So in the past 2 weeks I have executed 2 contracts, and have one offer in now. I just hope and pray that they all go through. I have an inspection on my 2nd contract tomorrow. Fingers crossed. I hate inspections. Makes me nervous. Then I showed some other folks today and found 2 they really like in their price range. Still waiting for him to get his preapproval letter, and assures me they are working on it. So hopefully we can have that soon, and make an offer. That would be nice.

Saturday is Peyton's last soccer game. It's at 8:30 am again! It is going to be SOOO cold! BURR! Then Sunday she has her end of year soccer party at the coach's house. Kind of glad it's over for now. So those of you who haven't come to see Peyton play (or stand there), which is most of my family, come on out and freeze with me.

Gonna start our Christmas shopping this weekend with our Annual trip to Toys R us. This is a night where Peyton goes and stays at somebody's house, this year is Nana and Papa, and Mommy and Daddy go to dinner and get lots of toys for our spoiled little girl. That's how we kick off our shopping season. It's fun. But I am tellin' ya....we are not doing near what we did last year. For one thing, she has so many presents, that literally she got tired of opening them and there were still like 7 of them left under the tree. I promptly picked them up and gave them to her for her birthday. hehe Secondly, we don't have the money this year. This year will be easier on the ol' budget because we picked nieces. I picked Ashleigh. So we each will spend up to $75 on the child we picked. I like this arrangement. I was probably spending at least $50-60 on each kid every year, and with the addition of Addy this year...oy vey....that's big bucks. So I think this will work out well.

Otherwise, just working hard trying to earn that Christmas money. I would like to have 4 closings by the end of the year. 2 this month, and 2 in Dec. That would be delightful, and could be a possibility. My goal for all of next year is to have 2 closings a month. We shall see. Hopefully people will be in more of a good mood and buy some houses already! ha

That's it for today, folks. Hope all is well with you all. Till next time....

Halloween and More

Ariel - The Little Mermaid

Super girl....Ashleigh, and Ariel....Peyton

"Andi had a little Lamb..." ha
My friend, Traci's daughter, Avery and our dog Murray

Guess who! ha Me freezing at a soccer game.
So we had a good week. Busy and tiring...but good. Halloween went off without a hitch. Peyton, as you can see, was The little Mermaid. She loves her costume. Now it's a dress up dress for her to play with, and has been in it every chance possible. We have candy coming out our ass, as I am sure most of those with kids do. The girls really did have a lot of fun trick or treating. Peyton certainly got the hang of it well. The "boys" did their usual scare the heck out of all the kids thing again. This year was a haunted house. It was VERY loud! Hit the link to go to Andi's blog, as I believe she is putting up a video of the haunted house.

I hardly have seen Steve this week. We have both been busy. He has worked late all week, prepared for Halloween, soccer practice..etc. I have worked a lot and such. We got to spend the evening together tonight, so that's nice. Except he's on the phone and I'm on the computer. Go figure.
My HUD offer and contract is executed and should close by the 15th of Dec. if all goes as planned. I am still working with another couple trying to find them something they like, and am writing an offer for another couple I met at an open house. I hate open houses, and they are usually a big, fat waste of time...but I did manage to get a buyer at the last one I did. Wow! Unusual. Plus I have a lady that is looking at commercial property for a restuarant. this will be new territory for me, as I haven't done commercial before. Then taking out another guy tomorrow for showings. Busy, busy! I am hoping for a great Nov. and Dec. and even January if all goes well. We shall see how it all pans out. Looking to be another busy week.

Otherwise, just livin' life. Sorry for taking so long to blog. Hope you enjoyed the pics above, and here are some more for you to enjoy. Until another day...goodnight.

A quickie

It is very late and I have to be up in 7 hours. So here's a quick blog.

The weekend...a good one but a busy one. Saturday...EARLY morning soccer game. 8:30am. Oy vey. Too early for ol' Ally. But Peyton did a little better this time. She actually did put a little effort into it this time. She still was avoiding the ball most of the time, but not as much of the antics of telling the coach she needs a break, or wants to sit out, so that was good. Then we went to breakfast. Came home and quickly got everything ready for my purse party. Got my Fall pumpkin patch done outside, steve pulled weeds in the flower beds, I straighted up, ran to the store, and got dressed. We had a good turn out. I was a little miffed because the original lady that was supposed to come didn't come..she was sick. So she sent somebody else. All they brought were purses. They were supposed to bring sunglasses and jewlery as well, and certain items that we requested. None of it. So that was disappointing. I did get a great Coach purse for $30. It was originally $120, but got a $90 credit for hosting the party..do the math...got it for $30 bucks. I love it. It's pretty, and I needed one so badly.

Then our Burleson Buddies came over and we went out to dinner. The boys played poker while the girls watched Sex in the City movie. Which we both have seen, but it was good. FINALLY...off to bed. Peyton managed to wake us bright and early. Then we went up to see my Mom at the hospital. she is back in there. Looking like she is going to need a stint in her urethra. Her hemoglobin is low, so they had to give her blood today, and then I guess we will see when they do the surgery. She's getting irritated sitting there. she is ready to go home. Patience Mother. I didn't get to go up there today...I got really busy. But I need to go tomorrow.

Then I was on floor duty and had an open house on Sunday. So Sunday was shot as well. It was fine though.

I am closing the house I have listed as a short sale across the street from me on Friday. Thank goodness...I need the moola. I am pissed though that a house that should sell for $130-135k is selling for $112k. Ruins my property value, people know prices are low and take full advantage of it, but when it's all up to the bank there's not much I can do. They just are looking to avoid foreclosure, which is also the goal for me and the homeowner. But I am not selling my house anytime soon, so whatever. Still waiting on my HUD contract to be executed. Hopefully that will close within the 45 days required. And will be showing somebody else again that I thought we found 2 homes they liked, but because we have to ask for so much seller contribution and not reduction in sales price, we have to look at cheaper houses. But they are a good possibility for closing in the next 45 days as well.

Peyton is doing great. I must say....she has been so chatty lately. Nonstop chatter! I am seriously going to get one of those counter things and keep track of how many times she says Mommy in one day. Steve says maybe she is wanting more of our attention. I have been spending all my days with her the past 4 days, but maybe it's not quality time. I am trying to work most of the time too. That is something I need to make an effort on. But sometimes it can't be helped.

Tomorrow....Peyton goes to school, I have a sales meeting and tour and then a luncheon at a local builder. So tomorrow will be a busy day also.

K...that wasn't quick enough...now I'm staring at 6.5 hours of sleep.....why do I do this to myself. ha
Night!

TGIF

Well..I shouldn't really be saying TGIF...because it doesn't really make a difference. I am going t have probably a busier weekend than I had during the week.

Really not much to say since I rambled on the last entry.
Happy Birthday, Brian Linder!

Showed homes tonight. A very nice young couple buying their first home. We found 2 that they liked tonight. Now they just need to decide and make an offer! Maybe I'll have a 3rd closing for November! That would be exciting for me! ha And MUCH needed!

I had Lorana the cleaning lady come today! LOVE HER! It was soooo nice to come home to a nice, freshly cleaned, smelling good house! God how I have missed that. I really hate a dirty house, but I don't have time to clean it like they do. I got a steal too. I almost feel guilty of how little she charged me. I will have her back...hopefully next month.

Peyton has been a bear lately! Back talking, being defiant, sassy and just overall not very nice to me or her father. But then she goes to Nana's and is a perfect angel!!!! I don't understand that! I whooped her butt today, and she has been in time out several times today. I have to nip this attitude in the bud, and NOW. I will not have a disrespectful, hateful, back talking little girl. I refuse! I sometimes am a little too much of a pushover, and I think I need to be more consistant with what I will and what I won't accept from her. That is my constant battle. I am way more of a pushover than I thought I would be as a mother. I just love her and want her to be happy. Spoiled...yes. For sure! Probably because she is our only child...I don't know. I am a work in progress too, as a mom. We'll get it figured out.

I just don't have any new pictures for you. RC...ya think you could get those Fair pics to me. Geez.
Ya'll have a good weekend. I will try to blog again over the weekend if I don't fall over first!

A good weekend

Howdy Folks! So I have kinda withered on my entries. Been a bit hectic around here. So let's start at the top. Isn't that video too funny. I love watching it over and over.

So last week we went to the state fair of texas. First time for Steve and I in years....probably at least 5 years. Went with the Harris' and really enjoyed ourselves. The kids all had a great time, and I am so glad we took them. We missed Ashleigh though. Didn't seem right without her there. Sometimes I have to remember that she is not my daughter and she has to do things with her own family..ha. Good time had by all. I would download pics, but well...I forgot my camera and RC wasnt able to email them. uggh. I may never see them.

Not a whole lot of work going on last week. Kind of slow last week. I did, however, managed to get layed off from the AC co . Yes...My own brother-in-law fired me! Can you believe that crap. It's just wrong. Ok...maybe not fired, but layed off for sure. Winter is among us and it gets very slow there...so to save money I had to go. geezzzzz...whatever! I was getting really bored there at the end. Not a lot to do.

This weekend I was really going to try to take off. Been a while since I had a whole weekend off. But I didn' think it was going to happen. Somehow it worked out..and when I say it worked out..I mean it worked OUT! Not even and email! I was shocked. Like everybody knew...leave me alone. I got like one email from Brittany and one from Amazon.com. Totally weird. But so nice. Nothing to worry over. I wish for more like that, but that means that I ain't makin' no moo-la.

Peyton had her soccer game on Sat. Oy vey! Nana, Papa, RC, and Sydney came to watch. They didn't get much of a show. Peyton hardly even wanted to get off of the sidelines when she was called into play. I shouldn't say hardly...she wouldn't get up. I had to threaten to take her uniform away and give it back to coach. K so she went it, but she just stood there. Literally, the ball rolled right by her and she watched it the whole time just roll by her. It was like she was saying, "oh..there's the ball." So frustrating...but I have to remember she is just 3. still....oyvey!

Saturday was busy. Soccer game, lunch with Nana and Papa, came home and worked on Peyton's room. Steve helped in the playroom, then I come out of Peyton's room wondering where everybody is, and steve fell asleep on our bed! LOL Can't say I blame him, he did get up at 4 am to get to work by 6am so he could come to Peyton's soccer game. So Peyton and I got ready and went and watched Brittany's band competition. Then went to Bed, Bath and Beyond to buy another comforter set for the spare/playroom. Then our usual fun Saturday night fun....drum rolll!!!!! WAL MART to grocery shop! I know...don't be jealous. Fun times. hehe
I was soooo pooped! I crashed when we got home. Then Sunday...kind of a lazy day. Just hung out and watched the pathetic Cowboy game and Steve watched the Steeler game. Finally got dressed and went to the pumpkin patch up the street and got Peyton a little pumpkin. Got hay bails for my fall display in the flower bed, and dropped one off to RC and Kev for our Halloween spookfest at their house for Halloween.

Like my new fall background by the way. Fall is my favorite season. The long, hot summer is over, and we are enjoying the cooler temps. Plus, I love pumpkins, fall flowers and sweatshirts. Cozy stuff to me.

This week is promising to be a busy one. Today I found out that a HUD offer I did got approved for my client. So that should close within 45 days. My listing across the street from me has an executed contract. That should close the 14th assuming the inspection goes well tomorrow. Hopefully Nov. will be a good month. So I had to have the people sign the contract tonight, running to the title co. for the other listing, Personal errands, the office....etc. Pretty much ran all day. Tomorrow should be kind of easy. Peyton has school and I am on floor duty till 1pm. I am going to hang out at home and clean up. I am having the new cleaning lady come and clean on Thurs!!!! I am SOO happy! So I have to get everything put away before she comes. which should take some time. you should see my office. OMG! And tomorrow is our 13th anniversary also! 13 years of wedded bliss. hehehe We have been together for 16 1/2 years. Thank God that husband of mine puts up with me like he always has. And likewise. He isn't an angel ya know. hehe

Wednesday...lookin' like I am going to have to go to Grapevine and show some homes. Thurs. evening I have more showings. Friday night I am going to try to go to Britti's game. Last one that I am going to be able to go to. Saturday I and Susan Galindo are hosting a purse party. It's like fake name brands like Dooney, Chanel, Coach..etc. Sunglasses and jewelery also. Hey...I get at least a free purse out of it, so what the heck. ha Sunday...I have an open house. So as you can see, it will be a busy week. By the end of the week, i think I will be glad I got layed off from the other job. That would have been real fun to fit in with all the rest. eekk.

Anyway...bored you enough. Man...I kind of rambled. Sorry. Hope you enjoy the new slide show and background. Andi had to help me because I am a dork and couldn't figure it out.hehehe Thanks Andi!

The dancing queen

This child continues to crack me up! This is from last weeks football game. She soooo enjoys these football games. The band, the dancers, the cheerleaders....all "beautiful" to her. (that's how she describes it)

Mom came through the biopsy well today. We'll know the results next Friday. Go Mom! She's a trooper.

Otherwise...it's VERY late and I must head to bed. I'll blog again this weekend.

Have a good weekend.

BIG blog

Tried to download a video..but wouldn't take. I will try again.

Lots of stuff! From Stone Soup performance, to football games, to soccer games. Busy weekend.
Stone Soup was Thursday. Friday, Peyton and I went to lunch with my mother. She asked to take Peyton home with her and bring her to the game where I would get her. Which worked out, that way Andi didn't have to watch her, and Mom hasn't been able to spend time with the girls lately.

So Friday night, we had fun at the game. It was an away game, but probably closer to me than the Saginaw game...so we went. We always seem to have a good time at the games. Something fun to do. I am trying to go to as many as we can go to since it's Brittany's last year.

Saturday Peyton had to be at the soccer fields at 9:30 for pictures. Then a game at 10:30 and 11:30. Way too much for her to handle. She was so over it even before the first game started. I think she may have done worse this week than last week, if that's possible. she was holding the coach's hand during the game. Kept telling him "I need a break", "I want a drink", "My tummy hurts". oy vey! The ball would go right by her and she would just stand there. So frustrating. But we must remember that she is only 3 1/2. We will just try again next week.

Peyton at her program

Pic of Meme and Peyton.

A little fuzzy..but that's Brittany leading her band.

This was Peyton sleeping the other night. She had a grip on that baby doll. ha

Today I had to get ready and drive out to Justin, Tx. Had to show a house out there. Then had to rush back to do an open house from 2-4. Got home, changed and then we had to go to the Harris' for a Halloween planning party. Which not much planning was going on. RC made us dinner (hot dogs) and we watched the rest of the Cowboy game. Darn Cowboys! Then spent the evening at home.

Mom's "numbers" are causing concern, so more biopsies of her kidney are in order. At least they are on top of it, and doing what needs to be done. We shall see how it turns out. I am sure it is fine.

So I'll try to get the videos up....otherwise..have a GREAT week

nuttin' much

I haven't blogged because there hasn't been much to blog about. It has been a slow week workwise and Peyton-wise. Peyton didn't have soccer practice Monday due to rain. She did have it tonight, but we decided to attend the stone soup dinner at her school. they did a little program, so we didn't want her to miss out on it. We literaly decided that at 2pm today. We didn't know there was a program...we thought it was just dinner. But I found that out when picking her up today. Sooo...who could deny a cute little song and dance from all the kids. I have pics, and will upload them tomorrow or something. Too tired tonight. Peyton didn't have cheerleading this week either. Actually, she is done with that for a while. Jessica is getting quite pregnant, and was looking uncomfortable doing it last time we did cheerleading, so we will hold off until she pops that baby out.

Peyton has 2 soccer games again this week! oy vey! She hasn't practiced all week, so it should be interesting.

I have been able to spend some more time with Peyton this week, which has been nice. Really only having to have a babysitter while I work at AAdvanced...so that's good.

Tomorrow we were thinking of going to the football game, but have been invited for dinner at Steve's mom's house also. Im not sure which we are going to do yet. I am trying to attend as many football games as possible, as this is Brittany's last year to do this. And Peyton enjoys it so much. It's a lot of fun for us to go. I think we all enjoy the games, and watching the band.

I will be working this weekend. Showings Sat. afternoon, and then an open house on Sunday. A lakefront home if any of you are interested in coming by.

Otherwise, that's all I got folks. Hope you are having a good week!!

Super Soccer Kick..not so much

Well...Peyton had her first soccer game. Well..actually first 2 games. They played 2 on Saturday. Peyton was done the first 10 minutes of her 1st game! She really didn't do so good. She Ran...some. She pretty much followed the leader around the field. Wanted nothing to do with the ball. She practically ran away from the ball. She stood around until the coach or I told her to run. She was just not all there, I guess would be a good way of saying it. The coach did a good job of letting them all play, but to tell you the truth..I wouldn't have blamed him if she sat her out the whole game. She was so disinterested. She did get knocked down! The "pack"..you know the kids that were actually trying to get the ball..came by her and she got knocked over. She came out crying. LOL So she got her first soccer injury. Not really from being agressive and trying to get the ball, but trying to avoid the ball.

We are really going to need to work with her. So, I had a great idea of getting a few of us and playing a mock game in the backyard. So tonight we went to Andi's..got Ashleigh, Peyton, Andi, Steve, RC and I and we ran around the backyard and told Peyton to get the ball from us. "It's your ball...get it from us!!" Yeah...she tried for about 3 minutes. Then she ran over to the playground. LOL So much for that idea. Ugghh. Gonna take a lot of short interventions and a lot of patience to get this girl to pay attention and stay in touch with it. We'll see what happens. The video above is an example of what she did pretty much the whole game. Uncle Kevin came to the soccer game Sat. for a while! Thanks, Uncle Kevin.

We also went to Andi's tonight to get Andi to help me get Peyton's earring back in her ear. Steve and I have been trying since last night to put it back in. We got one in. But the other is bleeding and swollen. But doesn't seem infected. So I got some little loops that don't have a post so that it has room to breath, and there will be something in her ear to keep the hole open. A battle with these earrings I tell ya! I just don't get why they are bleeding so bad. Andi couldn't get it in either. Peyton FREAKS out when we try to get it back in! It is a HUGE ordeal, and it makes me so sad that she gets so upset. Andi usually does better than I do with the earrings, but no such luck tonight. We will try tomorrow again.

Other than that....not much else. A little bit of work here and there. We spent our Saturday night grocery shopping and then we came home and watched "Forgetting Sara Marshal" It was pretty funny. Did an open house today..as I will be doing every Sunday this month but one. uggh. So far, not too bad of a week. Just going to try and sell a house, as usual. ha

Here are some more pics from the soccer game. Enjoy and have a great week.

"You can do it Peyton!" LOL

Sittin' on the sidelines with her buddies.

"humm..wonder what's for lunch today"

"The ball..what ball..oh that ball." ha (She's #4)

October already!

So it's October already. Can you believe that! geeez.....time to start Christmas shopping. We have to get a huge head start because we are too broke to do it all at once. A little at a time is what must happen.

This week has been pretty uneventful. I did have my closing on Tues. I knew that closing wouldn't go too smooth. And I was right. It was all done in last minute mode. Loan docs. didn't get to the title co. until the middle of that afternoon. But we did it after some tense moments. Done with that one. Thank goodness. My client was so very appreciative of my work. It made me feel good. Especially after all he has been through since...oh...JUNE! He couldn't have been any more appreciative than he was. He said he wanted to get me a gift card to a restuarant...I told him not to worry about it, but he insisted and said he would take it to the office on Wed. I haven't been to the office, so I am not sure if he did drop it off. Usually they call me if somebody drops something off. But That was a nice thought. ha

My "show me every house in the area", has decided to take off the next couple of weeks of looking. Busy I guess. I hope she is not wavering on her decision to buy a house. I have spent a lot of time on her sooooo..... Then my other client that we put offers in on a couple of houses, didn't get the one he low-balled. shocker. ha Then he said that a friend told him about a house in Saginaw. I asked him who told hiim about it and he said a friend. I have him under a buyer rep. agreement, so it better not be another agent...or the other agent is going to owe me some money. He said he would get me the address, and I haven't heard from him. I emailed him and he hasn't replied. I guess I am going to call him tomorrow and find out what the deal is. Then my cutie pie young guy can't decide what he wants to do. Price range, area....can't decide. We are down to under $120k now. uggh. We shall see. I need another closing...preferably this month.

I managed to catch steve's nasty sickness. I started feeling it yesterday. I doped up and was asleep by 9:30. If anybody knows me, they know that I NEVER go to bed by 9:30. If I do...I am sick! So I slept like 11 hours...got Peyton to school..and came back home and slept another 2.5 hours! Goodness. Woke up, showered, got Peyton, got some lunch, dropped her to Andi and went to work at AAdvanced. I felt tired all day, and am coughing pretty good, but I think I feel better than yesterday. So I hope I am on the mend. Damn that Steve! ha

First soccer game is Sat! Make that 2 soccer games on Sat! Should be interesting. We were informed at practice tonight that Peyton will need to take her earings out for the games! OMG! Doesn't that coach know what kind of chore it is to put those things in and out! OY VEY. We actually had to take one out tonight because it had dried blood on it. Goodness...I had to bribe her with a choc. bar. miniature. Not cool! We will try...can't make any promises

So tomorrow...not much going on as of yet. Work at aadvanced. that's it. Saturday is going to be the fun day. I am on floor duty in the AM, however Peyton's games are from like 9:30-12:30 or something like that. Then a showing at 4pm in Grapevine. Maybe we will make a date out of that. Have hubby and daughter go with me, then go to Southlake and shop and dinner or something. It's a hike out that way, so hate to drive out there just for a showing.

Ok peeps! Sorry no pics. today. More later...night!

Football!

It is well into football season now. Damn Cowboys losing yesterday! urg. We are watching the Steelers on Monday night footall right now. They are coming back. I won't hear the end of it. Whatever.

Today soccer practice...Peyton didn't do so well. She was too busy socializing and sitting in the middle of the field on her soccer ball while everybody else was playing. I asked her why she did that, she said, "I was busy Mommy". She told the coach she was tired. ha OMG It's going to be an interesting, entertaining and frustrating adventure I am sure. Otherwise, she is catching on ok. She just needs to work on paying attention.

Closing tomorrow! woo-hoo!

How about that stock market...OMG! We are losing our ass on our Textron stock!

I bank at Washington Mutual...the day the announced the buyout to JPMorgan...it was on the online banking page "Wamu customers..welcome to JPMorgan Chase." Oh geez. I hate this.

I am expecting things to be extremely slow the next couple of months. I think until the first of the year and things settle down, people aren't even going to think about buying or selling houses. There are those that will, but they are going to be few and far between. I just would like to get those I do have settled and closed. I still am looking for 4 of them...so hopefully they come through.

that's really all I have. have a good week.

Summer video

K...downloading this video now for the 2nd time. All I did is hit enter..and poof...gone! urrrggg! It's long, so it takes forever to download.

Finally sat down and did this video. I am getting better. It only took me a bit over an hour to do it. The first one took me like 3 hours. Hope you enjoyed it.

So, been several days...sorry. Been a busy week. Even the one day I took off, it was a busy day. The highlight of my week was "Peyton Day". I decided that on Wednesday I was going to take off from both jobs. I told Peyton that she and I were going to spend the whole day together. She was very excited. Of course, we had to go to our pizza place together. Cheap...decent, and Peyton loves it. So we went and ate pizza. Then (not really for peyton..but had to be done) went and got my windshield wiper fixed and dropped off some dry cleaning. Then it was off to the costume store. We pulled up and she said "Mommy, this is the same place we came last year to get my dorothy dress!" I was stunned. I said, "that's great Peyton, who was with us?" "Brian, Andi, Ashleigh and Addy was in Andi's tummy." FREAKED me out! Honest to God. I didn't know kids at this age really had much of a long term memory. That was a year ago for crying out loud! I barely remember that. Geez! Smart kid! I am telling ya. So she picked out an Aerial (Little Mermaid costume) Very cute. I got the dress and the crown. They had the shoes, the wand, the wig...no. Not spending 50 buck-a-roos on all that. She loves it. She says she is Dora Mermaid. Because there is a movie that Dora is a Mermaid that she loves, apparently more than Little Mermaid. I don't know. So after the costume store, (which is Party City by the way...ha) she and I got ice cream and then a diet coke. ha Weirdly enough, she does like ice cream, but she is not in love with it. She basically ate enough ice cream to eat most of the m&m's on it. But she loves to get diet cokes with Mommy, so that was another special treat. Then went and hung at Andi's for a bit and headed on to Cheerleading practice. She did good. Thanks Jessica!!!! Poor Jess isn't going to be able to do it much longer. She is 5 mos. prego. ha So it was nice to just be with her all day.

Not a greatly productive week on the real estate front. My short sale is still set to close on Tues. of next week. Showed one evening to the "let's go see every house under $90k" lady. Did our meeting at the office....etc.

The AC co. doesn't have any AC!!!! WHAT! Yes...no AC at the AC co!!! It broke. We are going to call another AC co to come fix it if Brian doesn't get on it!!! Not a fun 2 days sitting in a hot office. And Brian has no sympathy...he's on a hot roof all day so what does he care that Jess and I sweat our tushies off in the office. ha

What else happened this week....hum.....oh yes! Peyton started her soccer practices. She is the youngest on the team. She is on a team with mostly 5 year olds. There is even a 7 year old. You would never know it, because she is just as tall as the others. But you can tell when it comes to her skills. It is cute to watch. The coach kind of has taken her under his wing to help the youngest one out a little more. She keeps running up to the ball and putting her foot on it and saying "that's my ball". Then just stands there with her foot on it. The games should be REAL interesting. Steve and I are going to work with her a bit this weekend. I think it is a for sure thing that we have to work with her on the side just to keep her competitive with the others. But she really does lose interest in about 30 mins. Cheerleading...same way. But she does well. I am proud of her. She is so excited to go, so I am happy she is loving both of the activities.

Went to dinner with Mom and Jim tonight. Thanks for dinner Mom and Jim. Yeah..we are broke. Broke until at least Tues. when I get a freakin paycheck finally. But I have bills that didn't get paid with Steve's paycheck so that will be gone in a big-fat hurry. Oh well...can only do what we can do.

Tomorrow is Steve's company picnic. Peyton should enjoy it. Then going over to a friend from his work and my former clients that I sold their house in Watauga. Going to see their new house.

Other than that folks...enjoy the video and have a GREAT weekend!

a lovely Sunday

It was really a nice day. After the day I had yesterday...I will take it. I worked ALL day Saturday! From about 10 am to 7pm. Showing mostly. This girl found a house she loves, and said she thinks she is going to make an offer...then sent me 12 more listings via email tonight to look at!!!! WHAT! HELLO!!!! Found one! Come on! I have already showed this girl 20 houses ALL around the metroplex. She is KILLING me! whatever. She better buy something soon. ha

Today. We hung out at home until about noon and slept till 10 am! ahhhh! Got dressed and went to Potbelly's for lunch. Yummy sandwiches. Then off to Academy to get peyton's soccer shoes, shin guards. Then I got to thinking. What is this girl going to wear to practice. All she owns are dressess, because that's all I could get her to wear all summer. So I bought her 3 pair of athletic type shorts and 4 t-shirts. Didn't think about the clothing issue until then. And we needed another chair for Steve to sit and watch practice and games. I had one already. So we spent a good $80 that we didn't have on all of that. uggh.

Peyton has her first soccer practice tomorrow. She is so excited. She wants to do her "super soccer kicks" really bad! ha I have been working with her out back kicking around the ball. Mainly to get her used to not picking up or touching the ball. Which she is coming along good. It is still not second nature for her not to pick that thing up. ha Kinda funny. She gets frustrated. She enjoys it. She says, "Mommy, I'm busy. I have to sit down now." after about 10 minutes of that. Short attention span. Wonder what she is going to do on the soccer field.

Lately she has been telling me I'm sorry a lot. When she gets put in time out, and I get her out and talk to her about why she was in time out, she has to say she is sorry. So when we were at the store tonight, she was being a brat and I snapped at her. She started crying and saying, "I'm so sorry Mommy". "I didn't mean to be a brat baby." Me being upset with her is total punishment for her. She hates when I am upset with her. More than a spanking or time out, I think. She said when I put her to bed tonight. "Mommy I am so sorry I was being a spoiled brat baby today". I said, "It's ok Peyton. Let's try to have a better day tomorrow." She was acting liked a spoiled brat tonight because it wasn't enough that we spent $80 on all her soccer stuff, but then she got candy at the store, and a cool toothbrush. Then she complained because she didn't get ice cream and the pictures that I was looking at. So that's where she got that from.

After our shopping trip, I dropped Steve off to hang with the boys to watch football and Peyton and I went to RC's house to hang out there. We weren't allowed to hang with the boys. Whatever.

Alrighty then...another busy week ahead. Ya'll have a good week!

WHAT! A week!

Oh my gosh! I can't believe I haven't blogged all week. Sorry bloggers. It's been another hairy week at the York household.

So let's catch up, shall we. Steve...Steve..Steve...He is sick. Has been since Tuesday. He missed Tues, Wed. and today of work. He went to work on Thurs, but ended up at the dr. by afternoon. He has bronchitis, pharygitis (sp?), sinus infection and an ear infection. OY VEY! The biggest problem is he hasn't been able to sleep because his pharnyx is inflamed and swollen it is making like he has sleep apnea. Which he does have a mild case, but it was wayyy worse. He would snore.......not breath........and then wake up from lack of air. He would do this about every minute. I couldn't sleep because I was scared he wouldn't wake up in time for air. We tried every position for him to sleep. On the side, on the other side, sitting up, on his stomach! Goodness. So the dr. gave him a shot with steriods and something else. He is already feeling much better. Let's all hope he sleeps better too. By early this morning, he already was breathing better, thus sleeping better. Not much fun here. I am trying to stay well...Peyton has said she has a sore throat. Her voice is raspy and is coughing. But acting fine and no fever. I think she is ok. We all just need to get lots of rest and fluids and take our vitiminsto keep well. Not much else we can do. I don't have time to get sick!!! I know that!

My short sale! The one that I said in a previous entry wasn't going to happen! It's lookin' up folks! YIPPIE! All the liens got released by some miracle of GOD! We got an executed contract, and are due to close on the 30th! Everybody say a little prayer that nothin else comes up on this damn house. I am not discounting anything...because anything can happen between now and then, and I am sure something will. I just hope whatever it may be can be resolved in time. the 30th is the absolute drop dead date!

Wrote another offer on a house...twice, because I messed up. oy vey. I showed last night until 8pm. I am showing for a lease tomorrow, and showing the same person I showed last night again tomorrow. She's kinda driving me crazy. She sends me 10 listings at a time to go look at. You can get about 2 houses in an hour by the time you get there, look and drive to the other. So if that tells you how much time I am going to spend showing this woman. And it's only a home in the $80k range....so not much money for me. Whatever...it's something. Then I went tramping through the mud last night after I finally got home at 8:30pm. My listing I have across the street from me has water coming from the flower bed. There is a busted pipe or something in there. I couldn't find the location of it because it is so overgrown and was so dark. The owner had the water turned off today, and it stopped, but there is still a leak somewhere that needs to get fixed or she will need to disclose it.

Today, got up ran errands, met my friend for lunch with Peyton and her daughter, dropped Peyton at Andi's so I didn't have to drive across town to drop her off to steve at home (thanks andi) and made it to AAdvanced on time. Then went to andi's to pick her up and we all decided to go to Olive Garden. Went and picked up Steve and off we went. I couldn't eat much because I was still kinda not hungry from lunch. But it was good. Everybody picked on Steve because nobody wanted to sit by the cootie boy. ha Poor steve. hehe

Peyton starts soccer on Monday. Her first practice with Coach Scott. She is so excited. I just hope she is not getting sick and not be able to go. I would be sad for her. She asked me all kinds of questions tonight. "how many other kids will be on my team", "What is a coach", "is it a boy or girl", what color is my uniform", "will the other boys and girls have soccer balls like me", "I'M GOING TO DO LOTS OF SUPER SOCCER KICKS!" (That's from Dora the Explorer) ha Safe to say...she is excited.

I am tired! I had a client calling me at 10:10pm tonight! Out of line? What do you think? I told him it was ok, but seriously...would you call your Realtor at 10pm at night? I wouldn't. I didn't answer the first time at 9:45, and didn't answer again at 10:10 when he called. So I just decided to call him back so he wouldn't call again. I don't know....crazy. Whatever. I tell ya...it's a 7 day a week job, all hours of the day.

That's really it. Really it was a busy week, but I will take this week over last week. Last week was way worse. Tomorrow is promising to be busy. Have to meet up with the guy that called late tonight at 11am tomorrow to pick up his contract. Then floor duty from 9-1, showings from about 1pm to 7pm. Gonna be a long day. I better go to bed. I am going to need my rest. ha

I will not go a week before my next entry. Have a GREAT weekend peeps!

Weekend stuff

So, I guess i haven't posted in a few days. Let's see what I have from the weekend. Really, it was pretty uneventful. Here are some pics and a video clip from our Friday night. We went to Saginaw High School's Homecoming game.

Below: Ash boogies to the beat. so cute and great rythm

Below: Peyton strikes her usual pose

Below: Brit with her huge mum leading the band

Below: Syd with her mum from her little boyfriend. Isn't that the cutest!

Below: Peyton's favorite part..The cheerleaders

So the Friday night football game was fun. Lot's of drama to keep it interesting...the mum from the "new Boyfriend", while the old boyfriend showed up at the game too. Band Mom's gossip about how other mom's won't talk to other mom's because of this "boyfriend" issue.
Justin, who was the boy that got in a horrible car accident at the end of Aug., who is the "new boyfriend" to Brittany, came to the game. He was on the homecoming court, but didn't win king. He tried to sit in the stands and play his drum, but was having trouble remembering the music and was getting dizzy and had to leave. Poor guy. That was all too much for him this soon. But is still making a miraculous recovery. One lucky kid, I tell ya. He really is a sweet boy. He is very outgoing and very sweet, and I think really likes Brittany. He and Britt have been friends since he moved here their freshman year. They are also both going to Stephen F. Austin next year as well. They have a lot in common, and are a cute couple. Our whole family just loved Brian, Brittany's old boyfriend. He was a great influence on Brittany, smart and sweet. They are still very great friends, talk all the time, and spent some time together this weekend. I really do believe Brittany just wanted to not be tied down during her Sr. year. I don't blame her. Maybe they will find their way back to each other. Who knows.

Saturday...we were supposed to have Hurricane Ike come through here. It ended up going East of us, so we didn't get much in the way of rain or wind. I had appointments set up for Sat. but the girl I was showing didn't want to take her kid out in it, which was FINE with me. I needed the day off. It was nice. We just hung out at home, took a nap, and later went out to dinner with RC, Kevin and Sydney. That was it!

Sunday..I had a couple people to show. Worked from about noon to 4pm. I went and got my car washed in the AM on Sunday, and the damn thing ripped off my entire back windshield wiper! It had been damaged in another car wash that I don't frequent anymore for that very reason. So really, I wasn't too upset by it because it was damaged and now I get it replaced for free. haha

Today I have felt like I was walking in a fog all day. I think my head is stuffy or something. I don't know. I did take Nyqul last night and slept 9 hours, but I don't think it was enough. I went into work at C21 and called in sick to Aadvanced. Left C21 and came home and took a nap. And I already feel better. When I feel like I might be getting sick, I am the type that has to sleep, sleep and sleep some more, and then I am fine. So there will be more Nyquel any minute now, and am hoping for another 9 hours of sleep...at least. ha

Peyton is doing well. We have a new parent soccer meeting on Thurs. night, and she starts practice on the 22nd. First game, I think, is like Oct. 4th. I am excited for her to start. It will be a great time for her. We've been letting her play with her soccer ball, and now we can't find it. ugghh... Otherwise..she is being her usual self. Really, the last couple of months, she has been pretty good. Very few time outs...just the typical 3 year old type stuff. Talks too much, bounces around a lot, and is testing her limits with the words that she says..ie..."Butt" is her favorite word right now. "Tootie-stinky butt"..thats her favorite. ha Everything ends with the word, butt. Stupid..that's another one..but we are breaking her of that. Ashleigh has started saying the word "hate" a lot..and guess who has started that! Yes, Peyton. Thanks Ash! ha

Otherwise, not much else going on. Just trying to make it through the week until payday! Oy vey...we are broke this week. I need all 6 of my clients to make a decision and CLOSE! Momma needs a payday! ha

Have a good week, Ya'll!
