Well...Peyton had her first soccer game. Well..actually first 2 games. They played 2 on Saturday. Peyton was done the first 10 minutes of her 1st game! She really didn't do so good. She Ran...some. She pretty much followed the leader around the field. Wanted nothing to do with the ball. She practically ran away from the ball. She stood around until the coach or I told her to run. She was just not all there, I guess would be a good way of saying it. The coach did a good job of letting them all play, but to tell you the truth..I wouldn't have blamed him if she sat her out the whole game. She was so disinterested. She did get knocked down! The "pack"..you know the kids that were actually trying to get the ball..came by her and she got knocked over. She came out crying. LOL So she got her first soccer injury. Not really from being agressive and trying to get the ball, but trying to avoid the ball.
We are really going to need to work with her. So, I had a great idea of getting a few of us and playing a mock game in the backyard. So tonight we went to Andi's..got Ashleigh, Peyton, Andi, Steve, RC and I and we ran around the backyard and told Peyton to get the ball from us. "It's your ball...get it from us!!" Yeah...she tried for about 3 minutes. Then she ran over to the playground. LOL So much for that idea. Ugghh. Gonna take a lot of short interventions and a lot of patience to get this girl to pay attention and stay in touch with it. We'll see what happens. The video above is an example of what she did pretty much the whole game. Uncle Kevin came to the soccer game Sat. for a while! Thanks, Uncle Kevin.
We also went to Andi's tonight to get Andi to help me get Peyton's earring back in her ear. Steve and I have been trying since last night to put it back in. We got one in. But the other is bleeding and swollen. But doesn't seem infected. So I got some little loops that don't have a post so that it has room to breath, and there will be something in her ear to keep the hole open. A battle with these earrings I tell ya! I just don't get why they are bleeding so bad. Andi couldn't get it in either. Peyton FREAKS out when we try to get it back in! It is a HUGE ordeal, and it makes me so sad that she gets so upset. Andi usually does better than I do with the earrings, but no such luck tonight. We will try tomorrow again.
Other than that....not much else. A little bit of work here and there. We spent our Saturday night grocery shopping and then we came home and watched "Forgetting Sara Marshal" It was pretty funny. Did an open house today..as I will be doing every Sunday this month but one. uggh. So far, not too bad of a week. Just going to try and sell a house, as usual. ha
Here are some more pics from the soccer game. Enjoy and have a great week.
"You can do it Peyton!" LOL
Sittin' on the sidelines with her buddies.
"humm..wonder what's for lunch today"
"The ball..what ball..oh that ball." ha (She's #4)

That is just too funy! Give her some time, she's only 3 and only been playing soccer for like 3 weeks. She'll get it eventually! I'm sorry we didn't have success with the earring, I couldn't believe how bad it was bleeding! And with her moving so much, there was just no way, I didn't want to make it worse. It needs to heal some. Goos job PeyPey with your super soccer kicks! We Love you!
Have you tried surgical steel or titanium earrings in her ears. That is what I have to wear. You know me Ms. Allergy. J :)
At least she's out on the field! I can tell you some great stories about our first season coaching soccer for 3/4 year olds. She'll get it and if she doesn't, then you'll just have to try her at another sport until she finds one that she likes. :)
She looks super cute with those bows in her head though!
Ally, she is only 3. Give her a break. Love Mom
